Vintage Antique Solid Cherry Podium Lectern Table Library School 50s/60s
Up for sale is a gorgeous solid cherry wood lectern. This was owned by a great aunt and is estimated to be from the 50s or 60s or so. The lectern features two brass handles and a roller at each base as shown in photos 7 and 8. Quite ornate and a very attractive piece. This unit is perfect for schools. Churches, seminars, libraries, etc. It measures approximately 32' from bottom to top of high side and 29' from bottom to top of low side, about 17' x 22.5' The bookshelf space is roughly 13.5' x 19.5' About 30 pounds. Overall EXCELLENT condition. I am very impressed how this great looking piece of furniture has been maintained throughout the years. I really see no issues at all! Antique folding tripod painting, artist's easel on rolling stand, plein air
This is an antique artist's tripod easel which has its own rolling stand. Both the easel and the stand completely fold up so they can be carried outdoors for painting en plein air. The easel is lacking the little shelf which supports the canvas. It would require reinforcement before it is ready for use in the field. This is reported to have been used by the Old Lyme colony of American Impressionists in the early 1900s. I do not have any documentation of this. But it came from an estate sale in the area. The length of the easel folded up is 28 inches. The stand, with brass fittings, folds down to 15 inches.

Recently purchase in Holland and imported to our Atlanta antique furniture store. It is a hard to find piece! This globe is decorated with many wonderful and unique decorations. Although we feel the piece was made around 1960 the map and other decorations appear to be copies of much older works of art. There are also paintings inside the globe. On the rim, ... moreand on the stretcher base. The entire piece is made from walnut wood and is quite sturdy. The four legs sit on casters for easier moving. The top and bottom halves of the globe do spin like a normal globe would. The interior of the globe is fitted as a bar. It comes with a small ice bucket that has tongs inside. The rest of the area is fitted and shaped to house bottles and glasses. The interior space is about 18.5″ in diameter. Overall his antique globe bar is in very good condition. It has three spots where the paint has been worn/chipped and all three of these spots are shown in the photos. Otherwise the piece is in great condition. Sturdy and ready for everyday use. With this being such a unique and interesting piece I am sure it will not stick around long! This antique globe bar is a unique and wonderful piece! This original MISSION OAK 3 panel screen has been part of my life. For my entire life! I am 66 years old, and my nana had this upstairs with an old quilt as the panels. Later in life, when nana had went home at the age 101 years old, the screen was part of the house. I put new dowels in it about 18 years ago, and just always, had it as you see it now, with sheer curtains on the dowels. I now find myself in much smaller surroundings. And can not find room for the old room divider. If it could tell stories. But sadly, it has to find a new home. Maybe with someone doing a mission oak bedroom or living room, or, a shabby and chic room. All that has to be done, is for you to change out the curtain panel I have in it. ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL DAY BED FRAME FIREPLACE SCREEN DIVIDER CARVED WOOD DRAGONS
We are pleased to offer this very unique. Architectural salvaged daybed frame. This old(mid to late 1800s) 2 section piece would make a beautiful and interesting fireplace screen, room divider, wall hanging or accent floor piece. It is very nice with a tall plant behind it. It is a constructed of solid wood(oak? panels with a carved, arched top section. The ends of each upper frame feature VERY DETAILED, carved wood, dragon heads. The heads have carved eyes, ears, nostrils and large incisor teeth/fangs. The two panels were, at one time, painted. There is some remaining OLD paint but most of it has worn and the wood is a natural color in these areas. The panels are footed. The original, front facing foot is the only"whole" foot as the others were side or back feet so they have a"sliced" profile. The original bolts, attachment ... morelock, brackets and hinges are still in place but could be removed. The unit is in good condition. There is some wear to the carved dragons, particularly to the ears as a couple of them have chipped. This is not distracting. This is a gorgeous piece. We have the matching unit available under a separate listing. It is the same except that it does not have a front"whole" foot. The piece can be displayed with a straight profile or it can be positioned as an"L" shape. The hinges(which are hidden in between the panels) allow for the unit to be folded. The frame measures 49" wide and 27" tall. IT IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. Shipping via GREYHOUND with insurance provided for you. This well-cared-for California Mission style hand-painted dresser. Was purchased from a high-end antique shop in Sacramento, CA in 1990. It has since graced one of the guestrooms and has only been used a few times, so it is in just beautiful vintage condition. The tag from the antique store is still on the back of the mirror and it says"Monterey Bedroom Set" That is the only marking or signage I can find on any of the furniture. It is all made out of pine(with a light secondary wood inside the drawers) so is fairly light weight, and shows the wonderful knots and grain of the pine wood. The hand painting and carving is just charming, in muted greens, yellows, and coral. the handles on the dresser are carved wood and the apron of the dresser has beautiful detail as does the dresser top and all the pieces really. I love the beige, ... moreblonde, light tan wood stain. There are very few nicks and scratches, it is almost vintage pristine. The back of the dresser shows some water stains. I don't know what this is from, as it was there when I bought it and doesn't show as the back is against the wall. This set includes the headboard(I have it on a queen bed at this time, but it was org. made for a full; but can also be used on a queen) the headboard is currently secured to the wall with two screws. The bottom 3 drawers have a working lock mechanism, opened with the key pictured. The top drawer(s) lock mechanism does not work. No chips or cracks in the marble. One is on the latches of July 1872 and on the hardware of March 1881 which makes this awesome old humpback a 110 to 130 years old- a true antique. This trunk was structually sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. Has had multiple coats of paint applied and has the original bottom slats.The trunk has the three original hinges which are fancy and tight and work well. There are 45 pieces of original polished hardware and has the original center lock which has been polished- no key. A new black leather lid lifter has been installed. Both the original mechanical latches are fancy, heavy duty, tight and works well. There are 14 original solid oak slats in a ... moregolden oak color on the trunk. The interior has been removed. I found one patent date on the center lock of Nov 1869 which makes this awesome old humpback as much as 143 years old- a true antique. For sale today is a medium size nicely restored humpback stagecoach trunk and the restoration turned out just awesome! I found one patent date on the wheel brackets of November 1855 which makes this wonderful old humpback a 150 years old- a true antique. This trunk was structually sound when the restoration started and it has a good bottom. The metal has multiple coats of paint applied and has the two original slats on the bottom. It has the two original hinges that are heavy duty, tight and work well. There are 13 pieces of polished hardware. It has the original brass center lock and it has been polished- no key. Two new black leather latches were installed. The lid closes well and has a new cloth lid stay. This neat old stagecoach trunk has the original tray and the interior has been removed. This trunk has been completely restored. The inside has been lined with fine redwood. This is a one of a kind trunk ca. 1890 and as rare as they come. NEVER will you find an antique trunk with the level of attention to detail as we have gone. It has been completly disassembled(all nails pulled& replaced with brass ones. Slats, tin, latches and hinges. Right down to the bare wood box! and re-assembled so all components could be properly cleaned and preserved. All original wood and hardware completely restored and preserved from the elements with fine varnishes and waxes. The edges have been re-crafted with fine brass. This trunk is heavy. Big, and solid as dragon scales. it measures 32" long X 21" high X 18" deep. It weights in excess of 40lbs. It includes a beautifully worked separate fender front part in the neo-classical Louis 16th's(and Marie-Antoinette) style, ca. mid to late years 1800, all flowing and elegant. They features urns embellished with scrolls. Shells, detailed classical designs and typically French"fleur-de-lys" All pieces of the set are perfectly matching and carry the foundry number 53 on back side They show very little usage wear and cleaning signs. And some screws/nuts that ahve been replaced over the yeas. Not perfectly polished, just dusted off and I left them in as found condition with very appealing touches of verdigris giving them that air of faded grandeur.
