The stand is in good condition considering it most likely dates to the first half of the ... more20th Century or earlier. It has dovetail joints, and two drawers at the top with a single compartment below that has a two door opening. The stand has towel bars at the right side that swing in and out, as well as a high towel bar at the top of the yoke. This yoke gives the stand a total height of 53". The top of the stand is 28" tall, the little metal towel bars are 12.5" long and there are three of them. The stand is 30.5" long across from side to side, and 17.5" wide front to back. The dovetails on one of the drawers look like they are beginning to break, and may need some light repair. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

I'm not even sure how to start describing this gorgeous item. I restore older barn related items for a hobby and to keep them from ending up in a land fill. You can own a piece of history from when times were way different then now. I think the wood is old old cedar. Does not have smell any more but the patterns on the wood and the colors. Oh My! just look at the pics. All the original metal is still present and has not been fully tighted. It works perfect but has just a little play in it. just as how it came off the silo before it was demolished. I have a total of 6 all matching doors if you require more but I just have not restored them yet. This listing is just for a single door. It took me quite some time to restore this item without disturbing any of the original character.
