Mason & Hamlin Model D upright piano
Model D Mason& Hamlin upright piano. Serial number 29982 built in 1921. This piano spent most of it's life in a church Sunday school. It is in all original, used condition and is sold"as is, where is" There is some missing veneer around the feet and some small gouges with missing veneer on the sides and other small places. A few missing ivories and some with chips/cracks. There is no bench with this piano. Despite it's age it still retains the famous Mason& Hamlin sound. As with any piano this age and with the amount of use it has had it is probably due for a rebuilding and refinishing, but when completed you will have the best of the best. Buyer is responsible for pickup within 30 days of end of auction and it is strongly recommended that you use a reputable piano mover. It is heavy. This is a beautiful piano. Sounds wonderful and really doesn't even need tuning. Keys and inner workings are in great shape. Buyer pays for all shipping costs and is located on first floor of building. Dimensions are 64" wide x 58" tall x 29" deep a weight is 700 lbs. Early 1900s Hoarace Waters Restored Upright Piano Original Non-Synthetic Keys
We have had this piano for 30 years- I bought it from a close friend whose grandmother purchased it new. I had it completely restored at that time- inside and out. I wanted an American Oak Grand Upright with high quality case. This is unusual with the curved sides. As it was more time consuming and expensive to do this type of work. The tiger oak and carvings are stunning. Still has original ivory keys. It has the original key to lock the keyboard. Was played recently by piano instructor friend and loved the sound. Has a few nicks and scratches, but nothing to detract from it's beauty. We have downsized and no longer have the space for it. Our daughter learned to play on it, so it is with great regret to see it go. You can see some of the dates when the piano was tuned in 1910, 1912, and 1914. Another very important piece of this sale, ... moreis the matching bench. The detail and quality of the bench copies the piano- right down to the curved sides. Truth be told- I had this bench made by a cabinetmaker the same time I had the piano restored as a surprise to my daughter. It is extremely sturdy and well made and was done at great expense. It cost almost as much as the restoration of the instrument. It would be nearly impossible to tell it wasn't made in the early 1900's when Horace Waters company did the piano. Jacob Brothers Antique Upright Piano Model 48505
This is a Jacob Brothers antique piano. I've owned it for about 15 years. All 3 children learned to play on it. I bought it from a local music teacher and it was pretty much in the same shape as it is now. It looks like it may have the original finish. Which shows some age. It has some dings and marks on it. The solid wood is beautiful though and would look amazing refinished. The soundboard is in good shape. It does need tuning. I've tested all the keys and they each produced sound and none got stuck. so although I don't play myself, I'd say the keys are all in working order. All 3 pedals also seem to work as well. The bench is included. I'm not sure of the age of this piano. According to Antique Piano Shop website, it could have been manufactured between 1905- 1946. so it could be as old as 107 yrs or as new as 66 yrs. ... moreThe model number found inside is 48505. The keys also show some age. some minor chips here and there and the ivory is worn thru to the wood on a few keys. Foot pedals are solid brass. I don't know what kind of wood it's made of but it has a gorgeous burled grain. The lines are clean and sort of an Arts and Crafts style. Buyer will need to pick it up and transport. It's on wheels but it is very. Very heavy. No particle board or veneer on this one. Jacob Brothers Piano Company was established in 1878 as a larger retailer in New York and Boston. Prior to 1905. Jacob Brothers sold pianos manufactured by the Peek& Sons Piano Company. After 1905, Jacob Brothers established factories in Leominster, MA and sold their pianos both wholesale and retail. Jacob Brothers manufactured pianos for several well known American manufacturers including Euterpe, James& Holstrom, Nilson& Co. Opera Piano Company, Peek& Sons, and Premier Piano Company. After 1946, Jacob Brothers pianos were manufactured by the Mathushek Piano Company. PA and t here is a 1908 pencil mark in the piano(when it was made/tuned? unsure) Embossed Inside is Expostion 1876 Some info on Albrecht Pianos: Albrecht pianos were one of the first pianos made in America. Established in 1774 By Charles Albrecht of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. A little known historical fact is that an Albrecht Piano was located in Independence Hall on the day the declaration of Independence was signed. The first Albrecht Piano can be viewed at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Up for bid is an 1880's or possibly 1890's Mathushek Upright piano. Made by the Mathushek Piano Mfg. co. New Haven CT. I know very, very little about pianos so please ask any questions. And I believe the white keys have been replaced also as the tops are whiter and brighter than the sides. But it does not play at this time. I was told about a year ago(by someone who did restorations on these specific pianos) that fully restored it would be worth between $11.000 and $13,000. but I don't know for certain. Upright Black Ebony Piano 1869 German
Beautiful Ivory Keys. Black ebony finish. Claw foot detail on both sides of front legs. Needs to be tuned. One key not hitting but other than that it is in good condition. We bought it from a dealer about 15 years ago for our son to learn on and have had it in our living room since then.
