It does have a lot of surface scratches on it from use ... moreover the years. The desk is made of solid wood, although I am not sure what type of wood it is, and it is finished in a dark veneer. It was made by Best Buy Office Equipment. This is not the Best Buy stores of today, but was a small one store operation. I am unsure of the exact age of the desk but I would guess that it dates to the 1950's or possibly into the early 1960's. It has had a keyboard slide out platform added to it that came from Staples. I do not know when this was added, but it was most likely fairly recently. The height beneath this pull out where the chair would go is 24.5" high. The desk is 29.5" tall, 20" deep, 60" wide.

1910 Hohner Harmonica Countertop Store Display With 3 Lined Pull-Out Drawers

Electrical and mechanical antiques, and I suspect that there will be something of interest to almost everyone. Here's an ancient Hohner countertop harmonica cabinet and display unit. The cabinet has three pull-out drawers and a pair of legs in back that support the display when it's open. The litho artwork beneath the lid is in excellent condition. As you can see in the photographs, and the display overall is in excellent condition given its age and use. Blue paper lining inside the drawers is also in excellent condition, with no damage nor any signficant fading evident anywhere. The cabinet finish is original. There are scattered minor marks on all sides of the wood exterior(looks like mahogany, but ... moreI can't be certain) that are consistent with the cabinet's age and authenticity. The cabinet latching hardware is original and working properly, securing the lid as it was designed to do. The rectangular decal on the top of the lid is quite worn, but you can still clearly make out the branding: M. Hohner's World Renowned Harmonicas, Made In Germany. That's about it. I will pack everything carefully and properly. And I can assure you that it will show up at your doorstep in the same fine condition in which its leaves mine. It is from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from the early 1900's and is found with models 15. 27 and VS2. The frame and drawers are solid. They have a dark. Semi-dry finish. There are some aged bumps, scratches, scuffs and dings. The back of the bottom drawer has mild dings that look like a hammer would make. The back of the drawers is darker than the rest. The lips of the frame have a couple rough, chipped edges. The insides of the drawers are dark and a little dusty. The drawer pulls are held on by modern nuts. Singer makes a couple different drawer heights. Please verify these measurements before purchasing. The frame measures 5-7/8" x 10-1/4" x 14-3/4" deep. It measures approximately 6" tall, 3 and 3/4" wide and 1 and 3/4" deep. There is a stamp on the bottom but I can't make it out what it says. The flash has made this look lighter than what it is. The wood is a little darker than shown. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I purchased this at an estate sale. I accept only PAYPAL for payment. This desk measures: Top glass front section: 26" tall x 10" deep x 31 wide. distance between the shelves is: 8" They are equal and are not movable. There are 2 shelves making 3 spaces for books, display items etc. The glass doors swing easily and there is a lock that works with a key( included) The left side has an inside clasp under the top shelf to keep it closed. There were at one time X shaped minions on the glass that still have a faint impression in the glass. May be removable-I never tried. Bottom Desk/drawer section: 39 1/2" tall x 16" deep x 31 1/2" wide. The drawers on the inside are 27 1/2" wide x 6 1/4" high x 13 1/4" deep. Each of the 3 drawers are the same size and all slide freely. Desk section: The swing down desk writing surface that closes to a slant measures 11 1/2" deep ... morex 30 1/4" wide. The hinges are sturdy. There are no underneath bars or braces. The remaining desk surface that is existing that goes in from the fold down section measures 15" deep. There are 2 small drawers. One on either side, the drawer inside dimensions are: 6" x 5 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep They both slide freely. Above each drawer are 2 upright letter sections each measuring 7" deep x 3" wide x 4 3/4" high. There is a flat section between the small drawer/letter sections that measures 9" x 7" deep x 9" wide. There is space on either side of this cubby section for taller ledgers, books etc. that measures 2 1/4" wide x 10" tall x 7" deep. This is a very practical and well laid out inside section for various storage. Still useful today for lots of desk type items. Total height is: 65 3/4" The pieces are connected and not easily separated. The desk overall is in very good condition. Even though it is quiet simple in design. The outside is finished off nicely. This is a Pair of Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawers with Ornate Brass Pulls. This style has the scrolled wood outer supports and a cast iron support arm for the extension leaf tables. It is from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from 1895 and is found with models 15. 27 and VS2. These also have ornate brass drawer pulls. The frames and drawers are solid. The finish has good color. There are aged bumps. Scratches, scuffs and dings. The backs of the drawers are dark and dry. All drawers have ornate brass pulls. They all look aged with some small dings. The top right pull has a small hole on the right top and bottom corners. The extension leaf arm is in good condition. The insides of the drawers are slightly dark. Up for consideration is 2 large heavy solid wood antique hardware store cabinet drawers. Nice old patina to the wood with small white porcelain knob pulls. Each drawer has several metal number plates. One drawer is divided. Measurements: 11" x 19 1/2" x 4" deep Shows normal signs of use. Dark patina to wood, porcelain handles/knobs are dirty, could be cleaned up nicely. One drawer has an area with what looks like melted wax, could be removed if you so choose.
