There is a lot of info on google about McCrory's Five& Dime History! Just think how many little kids had their candy weighted on this scale. Just think of their excitement as they watched and waited for the clerk to weigh the candy and give it back to them! Unfortunately the scale has seen better days! It appears to be in fine working order but it really could use a good cleaning. We are not going to attempt to do anything to this scale, we'll leave that all up to the buyer. We do not want to take a chance on damaging any part of this lovely antique! The scale is so old that the labels are all worn or have rubbed off, over time. There is one large label that was on the main arm of the scale and the only text we can make out is"York County, PA" There is no info on the manufacturer of the scale. The only thing we can see is where you read the weight, EXACT WEIGHT printed across the top. We did some research on the Exact Weight company and seen other scales that are almost identical. It does have a lot of surface scratches on it from use ... moreover the years. The desk is made of solid wood, although I am not sure what type of wood it is, and it is finished in a dark veneer. It was made by Best Buy Office Equipment. This is not the Best Buy stores of today, but was a small one store operation. I am unsure of the exact age of the desk but I would guess that it dates to the 1950's or possibly into the early 1960's. It has had a keyboard slide out platform added to it that came from Staples. I do not know when this was added, but it was most likely fairly recently. The height beneath this pull out where the chair would go is 24.5" high. The desk is 29.5" tall, 20" deep, 60" wide.

I have up for auction an Antique Belding Cabinet from the late 1800's. This was a retail cabinet used in a store. It is made of oak and in it's original patina. There are(8) glass front drawers and(2) wood front drawers. That have the"Belding" name and the other name says, Art Silk. All the drawers have the original brass pulls, all the drawers work just great. This measures 23" tall, 17 1/2" wide and 14" deep. The top is warped, but can be steamed and pressed, dos not effect the use. This was my Grandmothers in Canada, I am including some of the silk thread, and straight pins, that were original to this cabinet, they say, Made in Canada. Offered for sale is a Beautiful Ethan Allen Vintage Maple Heirloom Lingerie Chest. This chest is item#10-5354 in the Nutmeg finish and features 7 drawers. Brass hardware and bracket feet. The chest was manufactured in September 1979 and can be found on page#152 of the 86th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of Beautiful Home Interiors. It measures 52" high x 24" wide x 17" deep. Overall the lingerie chest is in excellent condition with the exception of the top which has several scratches and dings. These show up more in the sunlight(see pics#8, 9, 10) and the bottom drawer does have a stain(see pic#11) I have discounted the price to reflect these finish issues. Here is a large antique solid wood 10 drawer chest which I believe was for prints or drawings based on the size of the drawers. Also would be great to store a relic collection in. Measures 70-3/8" long X 33-1/4" deep X 36-3/4" tall. The inside drawer measurment is 28-3/8" X 25" This chest has some deep scratches across the top& the RH side panel is an added piece of particle board because it had been mounted against something else at one time. The left side still has its original side panel. I do not have any pics of that side because its sitting against the wall& I cant move it right now to get the pics. The chest could stand to be refinished primarily because of the deep scratches on the top& discoloration on the legs. Outside of the deep scratched in the top& the added side& normal wear. I picked this up at estate sale and don't know much about it. It was used to store old electrical components and was very dirty and dusty, I tried to clean it up a bit. The drawers have the brass moth design and 2 are missing the side fronts(see photos) 2 of the drawers do not go in all the way, I am sure that it is easy to fix/adjust. I think that this cabinet was painted some time ago and there is wear, scratches and some nicks. All of the glass it intact. Here is a unique warehouse find that our staff has spiffed up into a real centerpiece for your office or studio. The metal desk has been sand-blasted. Wire brushed, and finished with clear lacquer to obtain a clean, industrial look. Long ago, it looks like someone added a metal top and casters to this desk. This unique desk has been Outfitted With a Fostoria lamp and wired into the desk to use the On/Off switch built into the desk on the right hand side. The desk measures 45.5" L x 23.5" W x 29" T. Each of the drawers is 20.5" L x 4" W x 2.5" T and has a space for a tag. The casters are 2" in diameter and the chair space is 30" wide. There is a shelf below the desk that is 12.75" from the ground and measures 30" W x 13" D. The switch for the lamp is about 13" in from the right side ... moreof the desk. It has a total of 10 easy sliding, dovetailed drawers with 9 thinner at the bottom and one thicker at the top. It has a size of 46 x 27-1/2 x 50-1/2(LxWxH) and is very heavy as it is built like the proverbial brick sh*t house. As you can see in the pictures it is just beautiful! Globe document file index cabinet I am offering an antique Globe Document cabinet. At least that is what the labels on the back of the bin drawers say as you can see in the photo. I am in no way an authority on old furniture. But this appears to have the veneer replaced at some point. It looks like someone did some patching on the bottom rear, but that isn't visible on display, I included a photo of that repaired section. I believe everything else to be original outside of a couple of replaced screws. The patent on the label gives a date in the 1800s, but I think this is probably more turn of the century. Offered for sale is a Gorgeous Ethan Allen Swedish Home Collection Maple High Dresser. This dresser/chest features five drawers(two top drawers are scored to appear as six) Reeded pilasters and tapered legs. The top two drawers have dividing, removable partitions. One of the partitions is missing so there are three of four with the dresser. The dresser is item#10-5402 in the#230 Bisque finish and can be found on page#103 of the 2003 Ethan Allen Collections catalog. The catalog describes the now discontinued Swedish Home line as: Elegance in its purest form-crisp, clean, fresh. This is Swedish Home, bridging the gap between classic and country, and fusing enchanting European grace with a casual yet classic American allure. Pure. Simple. Elegant. Swedish Home items are made of maple, select hardwoods and maple veneers. Ethan Allen hand-distresses ... morethe wood and randomly the edges are worn which creates a softened, time-worn appearance. The dresser measures 51 3/4" wide x 18 1/4" deep x 46 1/4" high. The drawers are all clean and beautiful. The body is in excellent condition with the exception of a few small spots where the finish is marred on top(see pics#10. 11) Something may have been sitting on the dresser and left a few marks. Due to the color of the dresser, it is not very noticeable except at an angle and in the right lighting. I have taken pictures with and without the flash. The finish is Bisque but it looks slightly pink with the flash and slightly greenish without. It is a gorgeous neutral color with beautiful silver hardware. This particular dresser was manufactured in November 2001 and would have retailed for around $1499. The Ethan Allen name is stamped in the top drawer and the name, date and item numbers are on a tag inside the dresser and on the back. Ethan Allen manufactures high quality investment grade furniture that can be passed down through generations. This dresser is a wonderful example of their fine craftsmanship.
