Offering plenty of storage for your magazines and such at 28 inches long, and a beautiful oval carved top heavily carved base ball and claw coffee table. All three pieces have ball and claw feet, and carving everywhere you look, on the backs, corners and fronts, and scalloped skirts on the end tables. Vintage Liquor cabinet/buffet. At some time was painted an antique white. Has original knobs but missing one pull. On castors. Really cool details with 4 sliding shelves that accomodate glasswear/bottles, two of shelved that have a lip that keep organizer trays in place. One tray has seperators for utensils and one tray is open. The top flips open on each side to make a non-maring working surface that is old school laminated. This is a really cool piece that I had planned to use as a kitchen island but my kitchen is too small. Please remember this item is an antique and will not be in new condition. It is marked Haverhill Mass. May 1st 1904, JEG. I don't know its exact function but I used it as a quilt rack for years. Standing it is 31-3/4" high and folded it is 37-1/2" x 5" It is in good condition with no cracks or nicks; the shellack is worn and crackled but it does not detract from the aesthetics of the piece. This is a beautiful sewing chest made be Cowan in the early 1900's. it originally had legs but those are gone but it still sits sturdy on any table. I'm in awe of whoever made it because it's all dovetailed together. From the looks of it by hand and there aren't nails or glue, but it's as tight as can be and totally solid! There are several tiny nails actually that hold the top curvy piece on, but that's all, no other spot has nails. It's sold as is because it has a rusty hanging wire and as you can see there are a few scratches and one small part has a split in the wood, but maybe it was always that way because it isn't at all loose or structurally unsound. It doesn't look like it was ever painted. It needs to be given something to nourish the surface. And it has a 10 on the back middle. An elegant genuine gold leaf triple dressing screen from about 1880 was purchased in the 1970's at a memorable"on the sight sale" at the"Folies Bergere" cabaret in Paris. There is no proof. But we trust the sweet elderly antique dealer in France who has kept it all these years. Three panels are original gold leaf with losses as shown. Worn down to the red ochre underneath, the silk panels are in tatters and are either charming or need to be replaced. Shaped and beveled mirrors have been replaced somewhere along the years. VINTAGE / ANTIQUE WOODEN STAND UP GLASS STARBURST ASHTRAY
What a really rare find and ready for display or for all your tobacco needs. It is sturdy and does have a little bit of a wobble when on a flat surface but can be an easy fix just put some feet or felt on the bottom. Stands 26 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter at base. Ashtray base is 7 inches in diameter and ashtray 4 inches round. A great find a super cool starburst glass ashtray that sits in a 1/4 inch grove so so worries about is sliding off. Large Antique Store Cabinet (Local Pickup Only)
Large antique store cabinet. I don't know what kind of wood it is but it is very heavy solid wood. Top and bottom do not come apart. It is all one piece. It measures 7 ft 6 1/4 in by 6 ft wide. 20 in deep at the bottom and 14 1/2 in deep at the top. It has 2 large shelves to go in the bottom and 4 smaller ones for the top. It has been in storage and is dusty. We were going to fix it and use it in our house but have moved and no longer have room for it. Picture isn't very good. It is not wider at the bottom like it looks in the picture. It is just the way I was standing below it. The doors are missing and it needs to be refinished. The designs are not glued pieces, they are carved into the frame. The frame has 7sections. The top, two side frame pieces, and the bottom frame piece. There are also two side attachements with a bottom cross piece. Additionally, there are 4 arched feet. The frame featues exceptionally ornate and intricately carved wood. The top of the frame has very detailed leave and acorn carved design. This"headpiece" has an ornate arched lower section which is incised in a diamond design. Inside the diamonds are notches which make up 4 petaled flowers. A faux twist rope pattern is carved on the border. This topper is one piece of wood and attaches to the side frames at the upper ... morecorners(see photo12) The side frames are also incised/carved with overlapping leaves as well as the diamond cross hatched pattern. They are connected to side columns with dowls(there are no nail or screw holes present) The side columns feature turned wood with a gorgeous. Flower accent. The side columns continue to the ornate feet of the screen. The feet extend the same in the front and the back. They feature carved wood leaves with a bottom, carved flower. The feet are connected with a cross frame piece that is carved in an egg and dart design. The frame is exquisite. It is all carved with only 4 overlay pieces. These pieces are located at each corner. They are carved shells and are a much lighter colored wood. I am not exactly certain as to the type of wood. It is finished in a medium to darker brown stain. The four shell overlays are a golden colored wood. The frame is in extremely nice condition with very few dings or scratches. It has been beautifully preserved.
