Victorian Eastlake Antique Magaazine Music Piano Organ Stand
Offered for auction is this very nice Victorian Eastlake music/magazine/newspaper stand. I want to be clear and up front that this is a married piece. The top and bottom were found separately missing whatever has been attached to them and I put the two together to give the pieces a new life of their own. It is very stable and heavy. It is solid walnut. Both sides fold open and are held in place by chains. Two appear to be original. Two appear to be replacements. Both fold out panels are decoratively carved with an Eastlake/Aesthetic design. The hinges on the side panels work fine and are tight. There is an old repair to one top corner that could have been more expertly done, but is secure and does not affect the function of the piece(I did not do this repair, it was already done when I purchased the top) A couple of the corners of the base ... moreof the stand also have a little wear, but nothing that detracts. This rare and Fancy Walnut Victorian Eastlake Magazine or Music Stand with Ornate Carvings and Horse Hoof Feet(Circa: 1880) This Beautiful Stand measures 36 in total height, 17 and 3/4 in width, 17” in depth. The details on this rare Walnut Victorian Stand are extremely ornate! The beautiful rectangular adjustable Magazine holder has painted harps on both sides. This is what caused me to believe it may be a music holder. This wonderful configuration designed with handle on the top center. The top part of this fabulous stand has the original chain that allows for adjustment of how much it is holding on either side with a stout divider in the center. And strong outer pieces painted with the harp and scrolled corner motifs. The entire stand is very stout and in excellent condition. Vintage small podium in good condition. Looks to be oak but I am not a wood expert, measures 19 1/2 high and 17 by 12 inches for the top. There is a box for the top that looks like it is not as old as the podium, and the wood at the base may have been replaced because it looks like a different type of wood.

Antique Victorian Bamboo & Burnished Pyrography Wood Etegiere Music Stand Shelf
This is a beautiful antique Victorian era music stand with four scalloped shelves that all have burnished patterns that were applied by pyrography to their top surfaces. It is an absolutely wonderful piece with a clean and charming vintage look! There are a few cracks in the bamboo that don't seem to affect the stability or functionality of the shelf at all. A few shallow cracks in the wood surfaces that don't go all the way through and a few stained spots from age and use. I tightened all the screws to check for loose joints, and they are all tight and not wobbly for the most part, but there were two screws that just kept turning, so the holes must be stripped out in those spots. Overall, when wiggled from side to side, the shelf wobbles ever so slightly but seems pretty sturdy. It will be completely disassembled for shipping, and ... morewhen reassembling, it might be helpful to add a dot of wood glue to each of the joints if the shelf will be staying in one place for a while(not shipped again) It measures 18" L x 13" W x 36" H and there is about 7" of height between each shelf. It will be packed very well and insured during shipping.

RARE 18TH CENTURY (1700s) FOLDING MAHOGANY MUSIC STAND
This is an 18th century(1700s) folding music stand crafted from solid mahogany. In its folded. Portable position, the piece measures 9 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" Open, the stand measures 18 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 9 1/2" There are two extra folding arms that can be extented to a height of 18" for larger music sheets or pivoted downward to hold the paper in place. Behind the trough in which the sheets rest can be found an adjustable, three position, foot that holds the stand in place. One of the brass grommets that allows the armature to pivot in place at the top center of the stand is lacking. It still functions, but the arm can easily disconnect when being folded(see photo) in a stationary position(open or closed) it's solid and won't come apart. These can sell for SEVERAL $1.000s at auction houses like Christies. This beautiful and large[mahogany? canterbury stands 25" tall, is 24" wide, and 17" deep. She has several defects[which happens in a long life! but they don't seem to detract from her beauty-you have to look close to spot most of them. Just wanted to point them out so you know about them. 2 small missing pieces; one mid center front, and one on the right side bottom edge of detail work. It is also missing 3 small pieces of veneer on the base; all of theses defects are LESS THAN AN INCH. 8 cracks as well, most of these glued back in place. One leg has been glued back on[see last picture-hard to tell unless you tip it up] Drawer opens smoothly and has fine dovetail joints, showing great craftsmanship.
