This is an antique artist's tripod easel which has its own rolling stand. Both the easel and the stand completely fold up so they can be carried outdoors for painting en plein air. The easel is lacking the little shelf which supports the canvas. It would require reinforcement before it is ready for use in the field. This is reported to have been used by the Old Lyme colony of American Impressionists in the early 1900s. I do not have any documentation of this. But it came from an estate sale in the area. This is a really handsome civil war era sloped field desk. It was given as a gift to a doctor in the near past and the brass plate is on the top. This could easily be replaced Measures 20" across. It is 7" high and 10 3/4" wide. This was well used and there are signs of this. But the desk looks great as it stands today over 150 years later. On the front there is a small piece of veneer missing on the right front edge. First picture shows this There is a surface crack on the right end over the brass handle. See in the last picture. I am selling one of my treasures. A Scandinavian spinning wheel. Designed and crafted by O. Trageton, a Norwegian who lived from 1845 to 1915. He never immigrated to this country, but many of his wheels did. Because the signature was so clear, I assumed that it would be a simple matter to find out all about the maker, but it wasn’t. A prominent spinning wheel expert knew only that O.Trageton made spinning wheels, and nothing more. A lady in California referred me to the University Of North Dakota Research Library Archives, and a very helpful archivist found four pages of material on Trageton, all in Norwegian. He in turn referred me to a translator. That translation, which cost me $75.00, will be shipped with the wheel. The wheel is about 36” high and long, and the drive wheel is 24+ inches. The top and bottom were found separately missing whatever has been attached to them and I put the two together to give the pieces a new life of their own. It is very stable and heavy. Antique Spinning Wheel found in French flea market
This wheel was found in a French flea Market. But I think the country of origin is probably Switzerland. I have not worked on a wheel like this before. And I was impressed by it’s straight forward linear design. The drive wheel crank and the pedal are in the front, along with the flyer orifice. There is an advantage to this design; the drive rod is directly below the wheel crank, so there is no transfer of power laterally to the rear, as in many other types of spinning wheels. It is a single drive wheel. Please note that the orifice is wood. The wheel came with a multi layer felt cradle to hold the orifice end of the flyer, but it had departed this world long, long ago. I added a wooden cradle and covered it with felt, so the orifice tip would ride higher, and be controlled by the tension control wool cord. As you can see, it is very primitive, but it works just fine. When I work on a wheel. I always do my best to make it spin. This is not always an easy process, and can take several days of trial and error. I often try to improve the function of the wheel. In the case of this wheel, I added brass bushings to the top of the drive rod, the crank, front and back. The felt that had held the flyer had worn completely out, and the flyer tension could not be controlled or adjusted. I want to stress that while I spend a great deal of time working on the spinning function, I never know how well it will spin, even though my wife helps me with this process. There is a reason for this. To know how an antique wheel is going to spin, some hours of practice spinning will be necessary to prove the wheel. It would be very difficult to learn on any antique spinning wheel, as a beginner. My wife is able to spin with little difficulty when trying out new spinning wheels by different makers, but she does not have this

For your consideration is this stunning 19 th century antique French 3 panel divider screen. This particular divider has several exquisite detailed features. I’ve never seen such detail on one of these screens. Mid panel there is enclosed a mother of pearl hand painted fan behind glass. The detail of the painting is exquisite. Each panel is hand embroidered with stunning floral on felted wool. Bottom of each panel is gorgeous silk purple velvet. Entire piece is framed in beautiful carved gold gilt wood. Color is a nice bronze gold. It is a gorgeous patina. Top of frame in back mid panel is lined with pretty floral upholstery fabric. Measurements: 39 ½” height. 49 ¾” total length across all panels opened. Left and right side panels measure 13 ¾” length. Mid panel 22” in length. Total weight = 14.6 lbs. The screen looks great ... moredisplayed on table as a work of art. It is in impeccable condition for its age with all embroidery in tact. Normal wear for its age. A few sequins here and there missing that’s part f the ribbon trim. Very minor and listing for exact accuracy. No breaks whatsoever. We have for sale 1 HUMPHREY Gas Heater! This is a very nice piece. Everything looks to be in original condition. We have not tested this item to know if it works. The jets look to be clean and the grates show that they have been used. This unit has a style that is very unique and classy. A little TLC and this unit would be a great piece to show and enjoy. ANTIQUE FRENCH EMPIRE VICTORIAN ROSES NEEDLEPOINT W BLACK GILT WOOD FRAME TABLE
We are pleased to offer this extraordinary table. This lovely. French Country/Empire inspired table dates to the Victorian era. It features a large and ornate, carved wood frame, with glass, as the table top. The frame has an exceptionally deep profile with a gorgeous pattern of acanthus leaves, shells and flowers along the outer border. There is a painted black band nestled between the outer frame edge and the inner frame. The frame houses a beautiful antique needlepoint or petit point(under glass) of multicolored roses in a lovely bouquet. It is quite lovely and colorful and exquisitely accomplished. The table has 4 sleek, turned legs. The entire table is gilded wood with black over paint. The black paint has been applied so that, in some areas, the gold is allowed to peek through. We purchased two of these tables at a recent estate sale ... moreand have them both available under separate listings. The table is in very good condition for its age. There are a couple of small scuffs to the frame. But they are minor. The legs are good and the table is sturdy. The petit point is in very good condition with some expected yellowing of the entire piece. There are no frayed areas or rips, tears, etc. There is some chipping and peeling on the black painted surface in some areas. This is a very unique French Victorian table. The table measures 26" wide and 19.25" deep(front to back) It is 22" in height. The petit point measures 14.25" wide and 8" deep. Measuring just inside the interior frame. Because of the fragile nature of this piece. Shipping will be via Greyhound with insurance provided. Antique Bawo & Dotter Grandfather Clock
This is a B& D(Bawo& Dotter) Limited#262489 It has Germany stamped on the face and inside on the works. But it did not show up in the photos. It also has KAD S/I stamped on the inside on the clock works. I do not know a lot about it. I believe it is from 1900- 1920. I believe the case it Walnut. The photos do not do it justice at all. The clock is beautiful and worked well when it was set up. I disconnected the weights since it drove my dog crazy. This is a local pick up only and up to the buyer to move.
