Antique Cedar and Brass Trinket - Music box, with swiss music unit
ANTIQUE HANDMADE CEDAR AND BRASS. TRINKET- MUSIC BOX. This is a well made, heavy cedar. The imported Swiss Musical unit is a very fine delicate instrument. There is an ornate brass handle on both sides. Metal seems to be brass. This is a very old and hand made, so it does show some wear, and is not perfect. The color of the cedar is a very dark to light color, beautiful. Has a pink fabric linning. Mirror on the top part. The music unit is stamped ALPEN SWITZERLAND. There are important instructions, on original tag, how to fix and NOT to take the 2 screws out under the propeller. I believe it may have been wound too tight. It states not to wind the music box, unless the lid is open. A symbol to the right is RA/ NEE. Also it looks like some one wrote on the bottom in pencil 224 and a word I can not make out. This adorable antique crib is perfect for displaying your dolls created by Jan Shackelford or any dolls for that matter. The crib was never used nor displayed in my home. It rocks back and forth and comes with a mattress that I bought when I purchased the crib. The crib is 20.5 inches in length and 10 inches high. I would never put a real baby in this crib because I don't think it is sturdy nor safe for a real baby. This is for dolls only. Even teddy bears would look cute in it. These are so hard to find. Well worn with lots of antique character- mars. Stains and shrinkage separations from age- the deep finish has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. Brass hardware is original except for the replaced lower under handle. This unusual Ladies Dressing table mirror measures 10” wide by 14” high and has had it’s beveled mirror replaced over the century and a quarter since it was made. Beside an almost microscopic crack 1/8” just under the amazing cast of Baucus at the top of the mirror this antique art is flawless. Beautiful Antique Victorian Bamboo Shelf
I have seen similar shelves listed as Victorian. But I can't verify the age. It measures 23" tall and 23" wide at its widest. It does need to be tightened up. It is held together with screws which can be tightened, and then maybe some glue add. I am not an expert so I will leave it to the buyer to decide what is best. There is a break in the bamboo on one foot. Please see pic. It may also be the top because it looks like it might have been a hole for hanging that broke.

Top is a full 2" thick, legs 4" thick squared off but left rustic looking, and cross supports that are 2" x 3 1/2" We have a matching bench in stock sold separately. Pegged construction!
