RARE EARLY 1900s ANTIQUE 3 PANEL FOLDING Lithograph TELEPHONE PRIVACY SCREEN
This auction is for an extremely rare very early 1900s antique lithograph three part folding Telephone Privacy Screen. These screens were primarily used in the 1900-1910 time period when the candlestick telephone was in fashion. The person using the telephone would wrap the three part screen around the telephone to provide some level of privacy during their conversation. The screen panels are made of a very hard wood or a very dense composite board material and the back is finished with a thick black"dimpled" or"stippled" coating. The highly raised flowers and leaves appear to be carved from the same material and painted in red. Green and gold colors. There are two brass hinges with four brass screws each on both sides of the center panel which attach the two side panels. This screen is in absolutely superb condition for ... moreit age with just a bit of wear on some edges and there are NO pieces missing from any of the raised flowers and leaves(Please see pictures for actual condition of all details) All dimensions are as follows: Center panel- 14" High X 6" Wide X 1/4" Thick Side panels- 12" High X 4 1/2" Wide X 1/4" Thick Weight- Approximately 2 pounds. This piece will need some restoration. Especially along the edges as most of the material wrapped along the borders has either come lose or is crumbling. The lithograph is in good as found condition with one spot on the lower left screen that appears to have some slight damage. This is a rare old item and worth the attention to bring it back to life. For sale today is a very nicely restored antique flat top wall saver trunk. Very nice restoration. I found patent dates on both corner hinges of December 1891 which makes this awesome old wall saver trunk as much as a 121 years old- a true antique. Wall saver trunks are a rare style of trunk. I have restored over 400 trunks and I have had only 6 or 7 wall saver trunks that I have restored. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. Three bottom slats, has had multiple coats of paint applied, three bottom slats, has four original metal wheels and the trunk rolls easily. Still has the three original hinges which are heavy duty, fancy, tight, work well and the lid closes easily. There are 30 plus pieces of original polished hardware and has the original Yale and Towne center ... morelock which has been polished- no key.The key code is AB. The two original mechanical latches are HD, fancy, tight and and work well. There are 12 original solid oak slats in a golden oak color on the trunk. The interior has been removed and it has the original tray. The metal/tin is in good condition. The lid stays are original. The lid lifters are built into the latches. Two new leather handles were installed with the original hardware. This awesome old flat top wall saver is 33 1/2W. 20D and 22 3/4H and weighs 40 lbs. It was a representation of the Liverpool to kirby tram. In 1912 it was sold to a Liverpool toy store nearly 100 years ago. Placed in there window It drove back and forth delighting children as they passed bye. It was acquired by a young man in the 1930's who moved to Australia in the 50's bringing it with him. I did not find any patent dates on the trunk and based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk from the 1870's to 1890's. I have restored 100's of trunks over the years and this is the first one of this shape/style I have seen. A rare trunk. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and it has a good bottom. The wood was clear coated and has three original slats on the bottom. It still has the two original hinges that are heavy duty, fancy, tight and work well, There are twenty seven pieces of polished hardware. Its beautifully carved. It has 6 legs with original metal castors. The top has a thin drawer. The middle has a cabinet door. The lower portion pulls out to expose the holder for the chamber pot. Its really a wonderful piece. Also a very interesting piece. Its in fair to good condition. The cabinet door is missing one knob. The two horizontal wooden pieces are 30" long and 1" square. They are unpainted and have a beautiful patina. The red bentwood piece is 38 1/2" long; 10 1/4" wide at the top and the bentwood piece between the ends is 2" wide. I found one patent date on the hinges of December 1891 which makes this awesome old trunk as much as a 123 years old- a true antique. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. Has had multiple coats of paint applied and has the three original bottom slats.The trunk has the three original hinges which are heavy duty, fancy, tight, work well and the lid closes well. There are 31 pieces of original polished hardware and has the original center lock by Yale and Towne- no key. The two original mechanical latches are HD fancy, tight and work well. Super cool and very rare FLIP-DOWN sink from an ocean going vessel. The photos show it all. Tip it down to expose the inner sink. The pump handle used to draw water from a tank sitting on the floor beneath it, and the swing out spot, a soap holder, and a toothbrush holder. Then, when you raise it back up, the water escapes by gravity through an opening at the upper-back of the china sink, passing by hose to a waste barrel also sitting beneath the sink. 1880s JB Van Sciver antique wash stand, rare NJ historic furniture
Here is a very rare washstand from the famous Camden. NJ furniture company, JB Van Sciver, established in 1881, this little washstand was possibly made by Joseph Bishop, JB himself. The original ink stamp label is still legible on the back. The was a paper label as well, but its long gone, BTW. this piece came from a prominent NJ estate, hopefully, its going back to one! This stand measures 36 in tall. 27 in wide, and 14 in deep. It does need some loving restoration to the one towel bar, which is missing and the back splash needs a better repair. The original black ebony Eastlake drop handles are still present! and so is the key, but the lock is rusted so it doesn't turn. The one wood wheel castor is a bit rusted and the wheel doesn't turn, but the other 3 do. ALL the wood wheels are present, just the rusty wheel has split the wood ... moresomewhat but its another easy fix. This is as original as you can get! I did not attempt to repair or clean this piece. I just dusted it off and WD-40 the wheels. The stand has so much history and signs of use over the years. I hope it finds another NJ home to go to. For sale today is a medium size nicely restored Jenny Lind trunk and the restoration turned out just awesome! I did not find any patent dates on the trunk and based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk to the 1860's to 1880's which makes this wonderful old Jenny Lind a 140 plus years old- a true antique. Jenny Lind trunks are rare and in big demand. I have restored over 500 trunks in the last 40 years and this is my fifth Jenny Lind. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and it has a good wooden bottom. The wood has multiple coats of clear applied and has the three original slats on the bottom. THe piece is electric and has a hole for a crank. I plugged it in and the turntable did start to move. The console is a very neat art deco walnut piece. There are 2 drawers and two side doors for record storage. The piece needs work and for a collector this is a great find. The piece has a brass plate on the back that has a patent date of 1916 and a cabinet patent date of 1919. The model number is IJ250. THe piece is very heavy and is 46" long x 23" deep x 38" tall. Rare 1840 primitive butter churn manufactured in Boston by Ruggles. Nourse, Mason& Co. They were based in Boston and Worchester, MA and best known for manufacturing plows. A very popular churn at the time, they are very hard to find now, especially with a stencil identifying the manufacturer.The churning vessel is made of tin. The wood frame supports the tin and is held together by square nails. A metal plate on one side slides away to expose a thermometer, now broken but still there. The churn measures 21 inches high and 17 inches wide. This is the no. 3 or 9 gallon size. The top and interior paddle are missing but the churn is in remarkably good shape, solid and sturdy.

Victorian Coffin, Real Antique, Rare Macabre Halloween Gothic furniture
Lovely Victorian Coffin. We have had it in an attic since 1967. All of the kids remember the scary fun of going up to the attic to see"the coffin! Please study all pictures for description as I am not an expert on this. I do not know what kind of dark wood it is. I have not tried to refinish or do anything to it. Some of the hardware is off but in a bag that will be included. See the pictures of some of the hardware pieces. I believe all hardware is there but cannot say for sure. Some nicks on the hardware. The lining looks original and notice in one picture, we gently pulled the lining back and it looks like original straw padding. There is a light colored stain on the bottom part of the lining. Last picture is when we used it for a Halloween Party. There is the bottom of the coffin, then the wooden top. Then there is the original wooden ... moreviewing frame that had glass in it but it is cleanly broken in half and you can have the glass made for it and put it back together. Then it has the wooden piece that covers viewing area. Examine pictures carefully. This is really detailed and beautiful. It would make a great coffee table conversation piece! Here is a rare. Antique, Philco 51-1604 Mahogany TV set! It is in great condition and powers on but I do not know how(or if it necessarily will) to get a picture to display. I have been told approximately 15 years ago it worked and carried a picture; it just hasn’t been used since. It has been a great center piece. Not to mention conversational starter, no matter where it has been in my house. Seems people notice it, want to know the origin of it, and then come back later to check it out again!
