For your consideration an antique 1890's oak clock shelf. Fresh from a local estate. The shelf is made of solid oak. It is ornately carved in a victorian style and has been beautifully refinished. It has three mounting holes. There is an old age crack in the wood. It measures 24" in width by 7 1/2" in height by 6 3/4" in depth. Beautiful Antique Victorian Bamboo Shelf
I have seen similar shelves listed as Victorian. But I can't verify the age. It measures 23" tall and 23" wide at its widest. It does need to be tightened up. It is held together with screws which can be tightened, and then maybe some glue add. I am not an expert so I will leave it to the buyer to decide what is best. There is a break in the bamboo on one foot. Please see pic. It may also be the top because it looks like it might have been a hole for hanging that broke.

Antique American Dovetailed Maple Shelf Plates Cups Dishes Display Original OOAK
defects. If present, will be noted. This listing is for the maple shelf that you can see in the photos. I bought it at a Pasadena estate sale a few months ago. I'm in awe of whoever made it because it's all dovetailed together. From the looks of it by hand and there aren't nails or glue, but it's as tight as can be and totally solid! There are several tiny nails actually that hold the top curvy piece on, but that's all, no other spot has nails. It's sold as is because it has a rusty hanging wire and as you can see there are a few scratches and one small part has a split in the wood, but maybe it was always that way because it isn't at all loose or structurally unsound. It doesn't look like it was ever painted. It needs to be given something to nourish the surface. And it has a 10 on the back middle. Side panels have decorative round cutouts& back to front top is only 2”W, bottom back to front across legs is 12 ½”W. Shelves have rounded edge with bottom shelf being 17 ½”W. Each shelf depth(Top to Bottom) is 1” 3 ¼” 6” 9 ¼” The 2 lower shelves are spaced 10 ½” apart. And upper shelf to top is 9 ¼” apart. Here is a sweet shelf to display something special. It is 17" high. 16" across, and 4.5" deep. The space between the shelves is a bit over 6" so you could display items up to 6" tall here. The top two shelves are just over 3" deep and the bottom shelf is 4.5" deep. The sides have a pretty, curving shape. There are two metal eyes attached to the back so that you can easily hang this. It is lightweight and solid and in excellent condition with a few little rough spots in the paint but no peeling, no missing paint- it looks great! Very good vintage condition with a beautiful shade of hyacinth blue paint which appears to have a satin or semi-gloss finish. This is the kind of shelf that was made around the 1930s-1950s.
