These rarely come up for sale and the last one on ebay was about 4 months ago and ended with a"reserve not met" at $1221. There are a few currently listed in the $2000-4000 range elsewhere. Unfortunately. Our new house doesn't have the space for it! This one is in very good vintage condition and has been reupholstered at some point in the past. The upholstery is in perfect condition with no tears/pulls/stains/smells and I'm pretty sure it's an expensive WOOL fabric. It features a geometric pattern in blue and yellow(the color mix makes it look greenish from a bit further back) The foam is still very soft which leads me to believe it was replaced when the chair was reupholstered. There are a few minor scuffs on the walnut base but they're barely noticeable. I don't think they're worth sanding/re-polying. The back measures 31 inches high from the ground. Seat width is 24 inches(28 inches outside of arms total) The depth of the chair is ~33 inches. While the rocker base measures 32 inches deep. The height to the top of the armrests measure 24 inches. Local pickup is preferred. But I can work with your shipping company of choice to get this to you. I know a lot of people use TSC Moving to ship furniture safely( Because of the value. Vintage Tell City Chair Company 1776 Floral Pattern Hanging Wall Plaque A3701 Vintage Tell City Chair Company 1776 Floral Pattern Hanging Wall Plaque A3701 Here we have a vintage Tell City Chair Co. 1776 wall plaque. Featuring a floral pattern under the year"1776" The finish was Tell City's#63 Antique Brown, and the pattern is A3701. I've never seen another one of these. But I'm not a huge Tell City fountain of knowledge, either. In good overall condition for its' age(I would think this piece was probably made in the 60's or 70's) It does show some wear at the corners and edges. There is one larger scratch in the finish on the BACK of the plaque, beside the two mounting screws that hold the wood"handle" on the front of the plaque. Speaking of which. I've researched this piece, but have not been ... moreable to figure out what its' purpose was. Most Tell City wall plaques were actually candle sconces, but there is no place to"put" a candle on this piece. If you have more knowledge about this item, please drop me a line and let me know what this was really used for, or if it was purely and simply only for decoration. The plaque measures 25 inches long. 5 1/4 inches wide, and about 11/16" thick. The"handle" on the front. When viewed from the side, almost appears to be an elongated animal of some sort. There is even a hole going through the"head" that would appear to be in the right location to be an eye, but perhaps I'm just being anthropomorphic. Or, perhaps this is actually a coat or umbrella rack. Overall. This is a gorgeous piece of furniture that needs a new home- it won't fit in with my own home decor. The original oil cloth is still on it but has a few rough spots. There is still a lot of life left in the fabric but for a restored Model T or Model A it would look fantastic. Put your grandchild on it when you drive in your next parade. This would complete the look. An accessory that you just can't live without. It measures approximately 21 inches high when opened up for use and the seat is at about 12 inches. Perfect for a picnic with your little one. Still in operation, started business in November 1865, seven years after Tell City was founded. The original name was“Chair Makers’ Union. a name retained until April 1, 1924 when the“Tell City Chair Company” title was adopted. The company was organized as a cooperative concern, with most of the stockholders being employees. It was said that in the beginning these employees made the chairs during the day, carried them home in the evening, and with the assistance of their families wove the double can seat, and then brought the chairs back the next morning. These are a nail in floor saver glide that tilts and swivels and appears to be made out of bakelite or some other hard plastic. My guess is that they likely date to the 1940's or 50's. There are 28 sets in all in their original boxes with a list as follows; 8 sets#NT-35. 2" in diameter, 14 sets#NT-20, 1 5/8" in diameter, 4 sets#NT-10 1 1/8" in diameter and 2 sets#CT-200 1 5/8" in diameter. Vintage high chair, booster chair, caned seat
From Mom and Dad's estate in CT. I'm not sure of the vintage of this chair. But at best it's 1940s when my sister and I were toddlers. It could be a generation before that. This chair stands 31.5" high to the top of the back and 23" high to the seat. The seat measures 12" wide between the front posts and approximately 12" deep from the front of the seat to the posts at the back. Please see photos for its condition.
