AMETHYST MURANO PERFUME Up for auction is a lovely light amethyst color controlled bubble Murano perfume bottle with original stopper and original label. The bottle is in very good condition. There is a slightly raised line on the outside which is probably done when making the glass. The actual color in bright light is lighter than it came out in the picture. I took the picture without the flash. The whitish part visible at the neck is actually a reflection of the inside of the neck of the bottle which is somewhat frosted. The outside is completely smooth. There is a very tiny inside rim chip/flake on the bottle. Can't be seen when the stopper is in and hardly noticeable in any case. antique Victorian MOURNING TEAR CATCHER lachrymatory Glass VIAL w ORIG Stopper
Offered for auction is an old Victorian glass vial with its original stopper. These are called lachrymatories or tear catchers. From what I've researched there are several stories to go along with these. The most common one is during the Victorian era. At a more upscale funeral these vials were handed out to save the tears you've shed for the deceased. When the tears are collected in the vial, the stopper would be put in. Once the tears completely evaporated meant the end of the mourning period. This vial is found in great condition with no chips or cracks. It measures 7" with the stopper. 6 3/4" without. Some of the gold guild is gone, and some faded. The stopper is original to this vial. It looks like the end of it is a bit rough, it may have a small piece broken off. Two sides of this vial have x's that are etched ... morein and trimmed in gold. Also on those same sides in-between the x's are indentions for your fingers. Lovely Vintage Rainbow Glass Blue Decanter/Perfume Bottle with Stopper
This is a lovely vintage Rainbow Glass Small Decanter or Perfume Bottle. The color on this one is an eye popping blue. It would have been made between the 40's and 60's. It measures 8" high with the stopper in. As with any of my stoppered or lidded items. I cannot guarantee that this is the stopper that started life with this piece but it came to me as a set, matches and will come to you that way. It bears the maker's sticker on the front. There is a pontil present on the underside. I find no chips or cracks on the bottle. There are a couple of tiny flakes off the bottom edge of the stopper where it sits inside the piece but you do not see this with the stopper in the piece. And I cannot detect any perfume scent. This is in good condition however. Early Div a. Holds 3.1 fl uid ounces or 93 ml. The white inner padded base is inside the cover. Standing at just und er 6 3/4" ta ll and 1 3/4" across with a depth of 1 3/4" I have found no issues. Antique Victorian 1888 Perfume Flask Bottle Sterling Silver George Edwin Walton
Beautiful antique ground glass perfume vial sterling silver top. Marked with the Birmingham hallmark, and the year mark of 1888. Made by the famous silversmith George Edwin Walton flask marked G.E.W Ld in a chamfered rectangle.The cork inside was dried out so it has been replaced with a fresh one that will make this little gem fully functional! Measures 6.8cm x 1.8cm. Please see the small flea bites to the bottom edge, very very minor, and a small ding to side of cap. Could use a good polishing, but will leave that to the buyer as I prefer my pieces to show their age. The shoulder of the flask and the bottom have been hand bevelled and the glass is substantial. BEAUTIFUL GORHAM FINE SILVER OVERLAY ON EMERALD GREEN GLASS BOTTLE
This gorgeous Gorham emerald green bottle is overlaid with fine silver(999/1000) It stands 4-5/8 inches high and is 3-3/4 inches wide at it's widest. There are several nicks in the rim from the stopper not being centered when it was pushed into the bottle. They do NOT detract from the appearance of the bottle. There are 3 initials on the neck of the bottle below the rim. They are highly stylized but the lines are very thin so the letters are not too apparent. I can make out the first two as"KH" but the last letter could be anything. I have included a closeup photo of the Gorham silver hallmark so you can be certain this is a Gorham bottle. The hallmark puts the age of the bottle between 1875 and 1900. Shipping is free and all items are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. WELCOME FRIENDS! Beautiful floral. Fruit, and gold hand blown glass French perfume bottle from the 1850s. The blue flowers on the face and rear of the bottle are hand painted with raised beading to give the piece a real textured appearance. The gold trim still has a lovely glimmer considering it was painted over 150 years ago! I did notice what look like a chip on the bottom corner, but when I took my loop out and look at it, the gold paint covers the chip. I would consider this a manufactures defect. There are several small chips in this bottom area. But two of them are also covered with gold paint. There is one small chip around this bottom area. Please look at the photos and notate. The glass is a beautiful with a pearl lustre& gold edge down each side. It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or nics in this shell shape perfume bottle. I could find no maker's marks anywhere, but I think it may be Czechoslovakian. The atomizer is in good shape for its age, please see all pics. The atomizer droops a little and has a loose thread here and there, please see pics. Other than that I see nothing wrong. I cleaned this perfume bottle, but there is still a faint smell of perfume.
