It is not my intention to mislead in any way with the information provided. Just letting you know what I know(sorry not much: I found the bottle in the bottom of a box of old"junk" at a local sale and thought it interesting. I was told by the seller it was from her grandmother's things and they had been in storage and forgotten about. It looks to me to be authentic, the items in the box were definitely old, and I believe it is probably an antique. It is not marked that I can find. The metal looks and feels like sterling but again, it is not marked. I did a quick magnetic test on it and it is not magnetic. I'm not sure what other metal it would be honestly, to steer in that direction. I dipped it in Tarn-X and it did shine up a bit, in particular the flower part of the lid and the chain. It could have been just dirty though so I really don't know. The main part of the bottle is duller than under the rim, which is very shiny, and I assume the dullness from handling. After all of this being said. It is a sweet little bottle and dauber. It screws on and off easily. In my opinion it is made well. Any questions let me know! This bottle measures approximately 2 and 3/4 inches in height. I found the silver marks after shooting the pics. It is marked on a bottom loop. 999/1000. It also has an indeciperable makers mark. Note that both the bottom of the stopper and the bottom of the perfume bottle are etched with a number. The stopper has chips on the edge of the polished end. There are three fairly decent sized chips or cracks compared to the size of the stopper, though they are on the bottom/edge of the stopper. This a gorgeous Antique Perfume Bottle with Sterling Silver overlay. The silver is thick and design lovely. It has old Hallmarks 925/1000 and Mark is readable as produced in Atteboro. Massachusetts by Saart Brothers in about 1906. Patented. The bottle measures a Large approx. 5 1/2" Tall X 3 1/2 inches high. The stopper is FREE of Chips. however looks like the interior stem has some cracks. Inside there is some crusty debrie which needs to be cleaned out. No dings! Stunning Antique English Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle / Flask
A wonderfully tactile scent flask. With it's deeply cut crystal in a series of star cuts within a diamond shaped lozenge. The glass is a beautiful Emerald green fading to clear at the bottom of the flask. The screw-top lid is decorated with repousse work crowned with a circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize. The interior is cork filled to avoid evaporation of the precious contents. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, Victorian in era. It is a large rounded cut crystal bottle with a sterling silver hinged top and a glass stopper. The cut is beautiful and there is a 12 point star on the bottom. Please be sure to enlarge each picture for a better view as I don't think that I will be able to do this piece justice with my description. I tried to research the hallmark and will share what I found with you. If I'm wrong. You are more than welcome to return the bottle for a full refund as long as it is in the exact same condition as when I send it to you. The metal top is a raised floral pattern and has no dents. I did my best to clean it but am sure that the buyer will be able to do a much better job. ... moreAs for the hallmark, I am positive that there is a lion facing the left, a shield and another symbol on the end but I can't make it out. The shield looks like it has 3 identical shapes inside it and the rectangle next to the shield also has a shape inside. There is another mark before the lion and I think that is the maker's mark.possibly J.T. or J.J. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I even used a magnifier. I'm pretty sure that the ground glass stopper is the original one and it is in excellent condition and fits beautifully. The hinged top and collar have no dents. Cracks or repairs and the hinge works perfectly. It clicks when you close it. This lovely bottle measures approximately 4 1/2" tall and 11" in circumference. When held to the light, I noticed a couple of small spots on the bottom and one on a clear panel but think that they are manufacturer flaws.they do not have a rough feel at all but I did want to mention it. Absolutely Beautiful Perfume Bottle with Silver Overlay- Possible La Pierre? This came out of an estate and is a really beautiful piece. It stands approximately 4 inches high and is approximately 2 1/4 inches at the widest section of the bottle. I could not get a picture close and clear enough to show the makers mark. But at the bottom of the neck(the section which is above and just to the right of the engraving nameplate) there is a"L" in cursive with a small cross slashmark on the"L" and then the word"sterling" right next to the"L" This marking appears to match the marking I found for the silver smith La Pierre who started his business in Newark. NJ in the late 1880's. I am not a silversmith and if you have any questions or would need further information, please get in touch and I'll do my ... morebest to help. Also. I did not clean or polish this peice and there are two flaws that I did see. One is a small hairline crack radiating from the bottom of the neck outward and is about 1/2 inch long. When the front of the bottle is facing you, it is up on the left hand side, a bit to the rear so it's not very noticable. The other possible issue is on the top of the stopper, there may be a very tiny peice of the silver design missing. I'm not sure since I'm not familiar with design, but there is an end of one of the decorative sections that has uplifted off the bottle a little bit. Nothing may be missing and it may just need to be glued, but I'm just trying to explain any possible issues that I saw. Overall. This is a really beautiful peice. There was no engraving on the front plate, so I presume you could have it engraved if you wanted to personilize it for your collection or maybe as a special gift for that certain collector! Antique Cut Glass Sterling Top Perfume Bottle with red stone center
8 photos posted. Pretty antique lay down(or stand up) perfume bottle. The glass vial is cut in a rib pattern bordered by a cross hatch design at the bottom and the top. The glass is in excellent antique condition showing only a faint trace of fogging and a tiny nibble on one of the ribs. On a scale of 0 to 10 I'd give it a 9.5 The flip top is marked sterling under the hinge which is in perfect shape. The cap snaps on tightly. It has an octogon shape and a red pointy stone in the center. I assume it is glass. The point is still intact. No chip there. But the inside stopper is lost. The sterling is quite heavy, so there are no dents. It is monogrammed with the initials dM.L. Dimensions: 3 3/8" long and almost 3/4" across. The item comes from a smoke-free home but I have a cat. Beautiful antique ground glass perfume vial sterling silver top. Marked with the Birmingham hallmark, and the year mark of 1888. Made by the famous silversmith George Edwin Walton flask marked G.E.W Ld in a chamfered rectangle.The cork inside was dried out so it has been replaced with a fresh one that will make this little gem fully functional! Measures 6.8cm x 1.8cm. Please see the small flea bites to the bottom edge, very very minor, and a small ding to side of cap. Could use a good polishing, but will leave that to the buyer as I prefer my pieces to show their age. The shoulder of the flask and the bottom have been hand bevelled and the glass is substantial. Elegant Cut Glass and Sterling atomizer perfume bottle. Sterling is hallmarked HP& co. I have been unable to identify this maker and I am not sure of it's age. It may be older than estimated. There are no dings to to the cut glass sides. But the polished bottom has expected scratches. There are VERY tiny contact dings to the sterling cap; what you might expect for an item of this age. They are too small to photograph well. Atomizer unscrews and lifts out from sterling top. Sterling top is not removable. If you prefer a traditional perfume bottle. This item should convert to a standerd top by replacing the atomizer device with a screw cap. This is sold as found and has not been polished or cleaned. This tiny scent bottle is a truly beautiful cobalt blue color in very good condition! It has nicks on the top and a very few tiny nicks to the cut glass edges. Please look at all photo's closely. Overall. It's in really great shape. I believe this scent bottle must be at least 100 years old and probably older. I would not be at all surprised if it were made in the late 1800's but it is NOT marked. The glass is hand cut and the lines are imperfect. The sterling top is in excellent condition with no dents, dings or splits. The cork inside is intact and whole. I can still smell a hint of whatever perfume used to be kept in it. It measures a VERY small 15/16" wide by 1-7/8" tall and is 1/2" deep. I am downsizing my personal collections and will be listing many vanity items. Antique Victorian Cornucopia Perfume Bottle - Cut Glass Sterling
This little perfume bottle has a small loop under the hinge which means that it once dangled from a chatelaine. Now one can string it on a chain or silk chord and wear it as a pendant. The glass part is cut in a pattern of alternating zippers and ribs and apart from a couple of tiny"nibbles" it is free of chips. Cracks or hairlines. The inside stopper is still there and- miracle of miracles- it is not chipped. There is one very small shallow dent in the top of the flip-cap. The hinge is original. The collar at the top is marked sterling. All in all the perfume bottle is in great antique condition. Dimensions: 3 inches long- 5/8" acroos at the widest part The item comes from a smoke-free home but I have a cat. I recycle clean shipping material.

This is a lot of three Larger one is a Laugharne Green Glass Scent Bottle with Silver Overlay it is signed and numbered and in perfect condition. This one is NOT an antique, it measures 6 and 1/2 inches high with the stopper and 1 and 3/4 inches wide. The two smaller ones are antiques and both have issues. There is denting on the tops of both ane one has the original stopper and the second is a cork. In addition both have cracking and chipping on the ribbing of the tops of the bottles. The silver on the bottles is in very good condition and is stamped. One bottle has a crown on the bottom and the second one is stamped 312. They measure just 2 and 1/2 inches tall and one inch wide. Antique Hinged Perfume Bottle, Sterling Silver and Cut Glass; by Mappin & Webb
This gorgeous Victorian perfume bottle was made by the London silversmiths Mappin and Webb. Most likely in the late 1800's. The top is.925 sterling silver, and the bottle is cut class. It is in very good condition, with just a small amount of wear on the bottom of the glass and some chips on one side of the stopper grip. The metal and hinge are excellent. 3-1/4" tall x 2" diameter I tried to magnify the hallmarks inside the lid and on the outside of the cover. One shows what appears to be the sillouette of the Queen. London, 1909 This beautiful perfume bottle is a fine example of the cameo glass produced by Thomas Webb and Sons in England in the 19th and 20th century. The rounded red body is decorated with finely carved clusters of apple blossoms on branches with leaves. The deep red appears to glow from the inside and provides a beautiful contrast to the opaque white floral decoration. The simple round lid is sterling silver and monogrammed in script with the letters"TMF" ... moreThe lid tapers down to a rounded silver band that fits over the threaded silver mount around the neck of the bottle. The stopper is no longer present. However, the lid works perfectly and the bottle closes securely. Thomas Webb began manufacturing art glass in England in 1837. The firm exhibited their cameo glass at the Paris Exhibition with Tiffany's in 1899 and took the Grand Prize. This exquisite bottle would make a wonderful addition to either a collection of fine art glass or to a collection of perfume bottles. Marked: Hallmarked on the silver band for London. 1909, with the makers' mark for Finnigan's who began production in Manchester in 1875 but opened offices in London in 1903. The Webb glass is not signed, which is typical. Measures: Bottle measures 3 1/2" H x 3" W. Excellent condition: Absolutely no chips cracks. Crazing, damage or restoration, Missing stopper which affects neither appearence or wear. Patination on the silver commensurate with age. Antique Green glass sterling silver overlay perfume bottle. Maybe Alvin, Gorham?
Up for auction is an antique green glass perfume bottle with sterling silver overlay designs. There is no monogram. The stopper is approx. 1.5 inches long. The bottle stands approx. 2.5 inches without the stopper and 3.5 inches with it. On the back of the neck below the rim it is stamped Sterling. I can not find any other marks. There is one very tiny either flaw or chip on the bottom, I really can't tell if it is a flaw in the glass or tiny chip as it is very hard to notice. It is about the size of tiny grain of pepper. Antique Alvin Sterling Overlay Crystal Pefume Bottle Iris
A drop dead gorgous perfume bottle Swirls of fine sterling connecting line patterns with iris. Near the base on one of those lines is: 1000 Fine(Alvin Hallmark) 3111. The stopper has a number scratched onto it. That looks like 671. It is about 3 1/2" tall. Without stopper about 2 1/2" It has a monogram in old script of 3 letters. The first letter looks like M the last C. No chips. There is an 1/8th spot where a very thin sterling overlay line has come off. You would not notice this, as the sterling line is complete,it is just a side of the line.

Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a Cobalt Blue Glass Perfume Bottle. It is the"double ended" style with 2 compartments& capped at either end. The hinged cap side opens and closes as it should. It has a spring to open the lid when you push the small button on the front. Inside the lid it has the"retractable" glass that gives when you close the bottle so that the bottle is sealed. The hingedlid side does have hallmarks but they are very worn and I am unable to make them out. I tried my best to take a photo& have posted the best one I could get. The other end is a screw on lid and the original cork is still inside the lid. Neither side has a stopper but I don't think it ever had stoppers since each side already has a way to keep the bottle adequately ... moresealed. No dents or damage to either lid. There are no cracks. Chips or repairs to the bottle- only a couple pin prick sized nibbles but you'll never notice them or see them in the photos. This botttle is in excellent antique condition! This is a heavy glass and silver bottle ~ you will feel the quality as you hold it in your hand. It is about 5 inches long and 1 inche wide. You are going to be absolutely pleased ~ I Guarantee It! RARE Vintage Victorian Spiral Perfume Bottle Sterling Cap Art Glass 10.5 inches
This is a rare and wonderful old Victorian perfume or cologne bottle. The spiral bottle is in excellent condition. The sterling lid has three dings. According to the hallmarks. The bottle was made in London in 1883 by S. Mordan and Co. Lmt. The piece measures 10 1/2 inches from top to bottom.
