VICTORIAN TAPPERING CUT GLASS COBALT BLUE SILVER TOPPED PERFUME BOTTLE VICTORIAN TAPPERING CUT GLASS COBALT BLUE SILVER TOPPED PERFUME BOTTLE This Fine Victorian Tapering Cobalt blue Cut Glass Perfume Bottle has a fine Repause Silver Hinged Top and its Original Stopper although wedged in and partly Broken. This Stopper can of course be replaced. The Tapering Bottle Measures 5 ¼ inches in length and the Fine Silver Top which is shaped like a Crown with no dents. It seems there could be a very small band of Silver Missing at the bottom of the collar 0.2 of a cm. This is where the original Hall Marks would have been and would have been dated around 1895. Overall Condition is Very good with no Damage. Dents to the top and no chips to the glass. Lovely Vintage Rainbow Glass Blue Decanter/Perfume Bottle with Stopper
This is a lovely vintage Rainbow Glass Small Decanter or Perfume Bottle. The color on this one is an eye popping blue. It would have been made between the 40's and 60's. It measures 8" high with the stopper in. As with any of my stoppered or lidded items. I cannot guarantee that this is the stopper that started life with this piece but it came to me as a set, matches and will come to you that way. It bears the maker's sticker on the front. There is a pontil present on the underside. I find no chips or cracks on the bottle. There are a couple of tiny flakes off the bottom edge of the stopper where it sits inside the piece but you do not see this with the stopper in the piece. Description Welcome to my Auction. For a superb Antique Victorian- Solid silver& deep cobalt blue glass. Miniature scent/ perfume bottle. With a corked screw top so no need for a stopper. Circa 1880 In wonderful condition. Not hallmarked as was so typical with these Antique Victorian scent bottles. The beautiful flat tubular glass is in lovely condition. The blue bottle is the most wonderful colour being the deepest of the cobalt shades with a hint of purple. With no chips or nibbles. The solid silver screw on lid has heavy repousse silver work of flowers& leaves. Absolutely stunning. I can feel a slight indentation to the lid where the tip of my finger rests when unscrewing the lid. This is very hard to see due to the ornate decoration to the lid. I mention for total accuracy. The scent bottle Measures approx- 6.8cms or 2.6 inches ... morein height. Weighs- 23.4 grams. A beautiful miniature scent bottle which has clearly been treasured& looked after as its wonderful condition shows. This tiny scent bottle is a truly beautiful cobalt blue color in very good condition! It has nicks on the top and a very few tiny nicks to the cut glass edges. Please look at all photo's closely. Overall. It's in really great shape. I believe this scent bottle must be at least 100 years old and probably older. I would not be at all surprised if it were made in the late 1800's but it is NOT marked. The glass is hand cut and the lines are imperfect. The sterling top is in excellent condition with no dents, dings or splits. The cork inside is intact and whole. I can still smell a hint of whatever perfume used to be kept in it. It measures a VERY small 15/16" wide by 1-7/8" tall and is 1/2" deep. I am downsizing my personal collections and will be listing many vanity items. This incredibly beautiful perfume bottle is approximately three and three quarters high and one and three quarters in diameter, with stunning iridescent like colors of blue and Silver around the bottom half and incredible green glass throughout. BEAUTIFUL BLUE PRESSED GLASS VINTAGE PERFUME COLOGNE SCENT BOTTLE with FAN STOPPER W/ ATTACHED GLASS DAUBER Very pretty old bottle. Only identifying mark is a barely visable clear sticker on the bottom that I think reads Made in Japan. The bottle has been used because there is a slight bit of residue on the bottom in one of the corners. The bit of damage I find is a small chip on the stopper. You can see it in picture#2. The bottle stands 3-1/2" tall with the stopper and 2" without it. The bottle is 2-1/4" at its widest point. This is a very pretty bottle with the glass dauber still attached to the stopper. In a lot of cases the glass dauber has been broke off. Gorgeous light blue color with a starburst pressed design. I accept Pay Pal Only. I do not ship outside of the continental United States. Large Victorian English Blue Glass & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle - 1896
A beautiful and very stylish late nineteenth century scent bottle with a globe base and elegant lock neck. All beautifully cut. The glass is a stunning and highly sought-after blue colour graduating to clear at the base of the bottle. The screw-top lid is made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1896, making this a true Victorian example. The makers mark is also present CM for the silversmith, Charles May. The top of the lid has a vacant circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize it. The interior of the lid is cork-filled, to prevent evaporation of the precious contents. Excellent condition, measuring 8" tall x 3 3/4" max. Ohio. An extremely similar one signed Libbey appears on page 137 in the rarities section of Pearson's book A Study Of American Cut Glass Collections. It is also shown on page 50 of his Volume#2 book. My piece has cobalt blue color glass cased over clear glass on the bottle and a black overlay stopper. The piece in the books is said to just have a black glass overlay. The bird that I believe is a peacock; looks to be identical and the 2 swirled balls ... morematch also. The only real difference that I see beside the color is that my stopper is longer near the top and mine does not appear to be signed. Similar cut to clear pieces appear in the Fauster's Libbey Glass book and they give me the impression that this piece was probably made in the 1920's or 1930's. It measures 8-1/2" high and the base is 2-3/8" in diameter. The weight is 8.7 ounces. The blank is blown with a polished pontil on the bottom. The unpolished or frosted peacock and plant cutting has good depth and nice detail work. The peacock is a common ingredient in many Art Nouveau style items. The overall condition is excellent. The stopper fits very well and sits at an appropriate level. The stopper and dauber look to be perfect except for a pinpoint sized nick that is probably an exposed bubble with a swirl of minute bubbles next to it where the pontil was polished on top. The bottle is in great condition and I would call it near perfect. The interior looks good, but to be picky I'll mention some scratches where the dauber has rubbed. These can only be seen if you hold it up to bright light and look closely for them. This piece could appeal
