It features a hinged 833 silver top and neck. The neck is engraved with a star and swirl design. The piece is hallmarked near the hinge with Dutch sword hallmark for 833 silver. Antique 1790s Cobalt Blue Glass ENGRAVED Lay Down SCENT BOTTLE with SILVER MOUNT
A late 18th or early 19th century deep cobalt blue glass lay down scent bottle with a plain silver(tested) mount and chained silver stopper. The stopper is made as a hollow cone. Each side of the octagon body is engraved with a stylized flower. Unknown origin. The bottom is chipped. Otherwise the condition is very good.
