From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. Vtg Antique Beautiful Silver Overlay Perfume Bottle 1906 Art Nouveau w/ stopper
Estate sale find. In good vintage condition.Measures about 4 1/2" tall. I was told this was Sterling Silver. I can not find any markings. There is a 98 etched on the bottom of the stopper. I see a tiny flea bite on the stopper base when held in light. I did not feel it. There is 1906 and flowers in the design. It looks like maybe a monogram? Silver is slightly tarnished could stand to be cleaned. I will leave this to the new owner. I purchased the matching perfume also let me know if interested I can list that one also. The bottle is made out of cobalt blue glass with a silver plated top and bottom. The bottle is in Very Good condition. There are no chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs anywhere in the glass of the bottle. The silver top and base are in very good condition as well. There are no cracks or repairs in the silver plated base. This is a set of antique. 999, sterling silver overlay, art nouveau, perfume bottles. To our knowledge. They are Alvin Sterling Silver with the low numbers of 3104, fine. We're assuming they are rare. The Alvin Manufacturing Company was founded in 1886 by William H. Jamo uneau in Irvington. New Jersey. The company moved to Sag Harbor. Long Island in 1895 and later changed its name to the Alvin Silver Co. in 1919. The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was known for making fine sterling silver. The Gorham company of Providence. Rhode Island acquired the Alvin Company’s dies and patterns in 1928. The largest measures 4" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter with original stopper. The second to largest one that's very wide and flat measures approximately 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" diameter with original stopper. The stopper is the one ... morethat's chipped. The top says"GB" in script. There are two nude ladies holding incense burners on the sides of this bottle and stylized flowers on the other sides. Very striking Art Nouveau design all around. This is 3 1/2 inches tall by about 2 1/2 inches wide. I cannot get the stopper to come out and have left that"as-is. There are fleabites to two corners of the stopper. Also. Antique Art Nouveau Perfume Bottle w/ copper floral design on glass
This pretty antique“Art Nouveau” perfume bottle has a lovely floral decoration that was embossed in copper and then fitted to the glass bottle. The copper was originally silver plated. Which can be detected by looking at the color of the metalwork through the bottom of the bottle. This bottle is short, only 2 ½inches tall, and squarish in shape, about 3 ¼ inches wide, but the way the copper work was applied, to create a four-petaled flower shape, adds an organic feel to it. The bottle stopper has a more geometric, than floral, design, with a bold“X” that splits the square top into four triangles. Reproductions of a bottle like this one have been made, but this perfume bottle is an antique. It is in very good antique condition with only a tiny chip off of the edge of the part of the stopper that fits into the bottle's neck. This jar of DARLING WHITE SNOW TOILET CREAM was made in Japan by the Emiya company some time in the 1930's or 40's or so. Here is an attractive antique Art Nouveau cut glass perfume or dresser bottle. The lid is a screw-on in sterling and royal blue guilloche enamel. British hallmarks on the lid of the Anchor for Birmingham. The Lion Passant to the left for Sterling, the initial Y the other is worn. Also initials of HO and one other is worn. The bottle measures 3 1/2" high including the lid, 1 3/4" across base, and 1 1/2" across the lid. The stopper is intact. As Always ~ No Reserve! This is a beautiful antique clear glass perfume bottle featuring sterling silver overlay in a nice Art Nouveau design. The bottle has a cartouche on the front that is engraved with the monogram ELR. This sweet little bottle measures about 2-1/4" in diameter and stands 1-3/4" tall. It is stamped"Sterling" on the collar. The overlay is tarnished in a couple of spots. But is all intact and the glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. A lovely old bottle! The design is a delicate leaf and filigree pattern. Antique Art Nouveau Silver Laced Perfume Bottle w/Stopper
You are bidding on an early 1900's Art Nouveau perfume bottle with silver lace and original stopper. Looks identical to a Gorham or Matthew Company perfume bottle however I couldn't find any identifying marks except for the#308 stamped in the overlay. The#246 is etched on the bottom of both the bottle and the stopper identifying them as original pairs. There is no monogram etched in the plate so you can have it etched if you choose. There is a small chip on one side of the bottom of the stopper. Please see the pictures for verification. The measurements on the bottle are: 2-3/8" tall, 2-1/8" wide. The measurements of the stopper are: 1-7/8" tall, 7/8" wide. Together the bottle and the stopper are 3-9/16" tall. SUPERB ART NOUVEAU ALVIN 999 SILVER OVERLAY GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE IRIS DESIGN Presented is a beautiful silver and glass stoppered bottle by Alvin. This piece dates to the Art Nouveau period. And is done very much in that style. The bottle is covered entirely with a thick layer of silver, with none of the interior glass visible from the outside, unlike most silver overlay bottles. The silver is fantastically engraved with iris flower designs, done in a flowing, sinuous style. This iris motif is continued on the silver of the stopper as well. The leaves and stems of the irises form an oval cartouche on the side of the bottle, which has never been monogrammed. Use this bottle to hold whatever fine perfume or eau de toilet you like, or simply as a lovely display piece. This ... morepiece is in great condition. The overlay has no splits or problems of any sort. The glass is not visible from the outside. But looking inside, you can see there are no cracks or breaks. The stopper fits snugly. The bottle measures 6" tall(with cap) and is in excellent condition with no"flea bites" at the rim. Or indications of use, it is clean. The cap with frosted glass stopper weighs 74.1 grams. The silver top fits securely, but not too snug, the stopper has some chips, the rim of the cap is wavy, it has some minor dings and scratches, mostly surface scratches commensurate with infrequent cleaning. You are bidding on a beautiful early 1900's Antique Art Nouveau Dark Cranberry Perfume Bottle with intricate silver lace decoration surrounding the entire bottle and a silver heart stopper. There is a silver cartouche with a fancy capital letter"D" engraved in the center of it. The word"STERLING" is stamped on the opposite side of the cartouche on one of the lower silver laces. Hard to see with the naked eye but it is visible. The bottle is in excellent condition except for some internal hairlines on one side of the inter neck of the bottle which we believe happened from the heat of the silver when it was being applied, there are no other defects. We do not believe the silver heart stopper is an original stopper to the bottle because most the bottles and stoppers we've seen on Ebay look like each other, at least ... morein this style, but it is a very nice stopper and it inserts into the bottle very well.
