Stunning Antique English Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle / Flask
A wonderfully tactile scent flask. With it's deeply cut crystal in a series of star cuts within a diamond shaped lozenge. The glass is a beautiful Emerald green fading to clear at the bottom of the flask. The screw-top lid is decorated with repousse work crowned with a circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize. The interior is cork filled to avoid evaporation of the precious contents. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, Victorian in era. The makers initials CM are present for the silversmith, Charles May. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 1" at widest. You are bidding on a circa 1800's Antique Cut Crystal Perfume/Scent Chatelaine Bottle with Sterling Silver Top. Beautiful cut crystal bottle has bead ball edging design on sterling silver hinged top. It has a lovely rare curved horn shape. It is marked sterling in tiny letters on the bottom half of the lid. It may have had something glued to the lid but I am not sure. Six Antique Crystal Cut Glass Perfume Scent Bottle Sterling Silver Top Hinged Up for your consideration we have 6 beautiful glass or cut crystal perfume or scent bottles. 5 with hinged tops and one with a screw on top that has an attached glass dipping stick, visible in photo 7. The photos below will be doing most of the explaining for these pieces as they are photos of the exact pieces you will receive. All in all, none of the crystal bodies have any major damage, just a very few fleabites on the bottle with a ball top. I have included photos of all mouths of the bottles to show the condition of the stoppers, if any. I will list the condition of the stoppers by the bottles photo numbers. Perfume scent bottle has four crosshatched pinwheel floral circles with a thumbprint center. The floral pinwheels are surrounded by cut eight and four point stars with the bottom having a cut starburst. The perfume bottle and stopper have no cracks. Glass has some surface use wear marks. There are small pinpoint dings to the edges of some of the cut crystal ridges. One of the central circles of the pinwheel flowers has a less than 1/8" chip on the circle's edge. Nothing boring about this simply gorgeous Art Deco cut crystal and sterling silver perfume bottle. I won't dazzle you with what I don't know about these vintage pieces. But I will mention that as I searched ebay to find out more about my estate find.I think it is one of the most beautiful. I hope you agree. The silver engraving is unmatched. It must have been a very treasured item by its owners because it is in fantastic condition. I can find no defects at all. The Sterling silver is flawless. lovely set of three vintage crystal and cut glass perfume bottles ca 1900 to 1950 first is a cut glass perfume with original stopper in mint shape for age. 4 1/4 inches, second is a French perfume bottle( j'aime de Jacques heim Paris) in great shape for age 4 1/2 inches and last is an antique English crystal perfume bottle with sterling silver rim, hallmarked London maker, this bottle is ok, some dents on silver rim and applicator has been broken off but overall looks great 3 1/2 inches. this is a fine set of perfume bottle, great for any collection, hope they go to a good home or collection, items sold as is, thanks and good luck!

This beautiful antique cut crystal and sterling silver.925 perfume bottle was made in Sheffield. England, in 1904, by brothers John and William Deakin. The gorgeous repousse lid is detailed with scrolls and flowers and a center shield. Which is un-monogrammed. The hallmark, showing JD over WD, Sheffield, 925, and 1904, is on the collar of the lid. It is in excellent antique condition. With very minor wear, considering its age. Details: The exterior cut glass has no damage, chips or cracks that I see. Very minor shelf wear on the bottom. The silver collar inside the bottle has a small dent, visible in the photos, and only seen when the sterling top is off. The inside edge of the bottle has a thumbnail size hairline crack, which is stable(see photos) The multi-faceted stopper has one fleabite chip on a facet, and a couple of fleabites on the ... moretop and bottom edges, commensurate with use. The repousse part of the sterling lid is almost flawless. With no dents or damage seen. There are a few pin-prick size dents on the collar of the lid. Only noticeable upon close inspection. The bottle measures 4 1/2" tall and about 2 3/8" wide. It is marked on the silver neck"Sterling" next to a stamp that I can't make out. There are several chips on the bottom of the stopper. A couple on the bottom of the bottle, and a small area on one side that has some damage. In the enlarged photos you can see some leftover silver polish which wasn't visible to my naked eye. In my opinion. It was made by Tiffany& Co. The silver hallmarks are almost identical& the quality is the same. The sterling lid is engraved with victorian script. Heavy. Thick cut crystal with chiseled ribs. Measures 4-3/4" long& 1-1/4" diameter. GOOD CONDITION No chips or cracks. 3 microscopic nibbles on the chiseled edges- the pointed end is perfect. Lid& collar are perfect- no dings or dents. I have not polished the silver. Interior of bottle is clean& crystal clear. The markings read. English perfume bottle with sterling silver top and hand cut crystal glass base. 4" tall and 2" max tapering up diameter. Chased silver top has flowers. Leaves and vine design. Small evidence of wear and use and not recently polished, Stopper is missing, otherwise is in very good condition. English Assay Hall marks are: C.M. in rectangle: Maker name not found) Anchor for Birmingham, Date letter: p' in lozenge shape for date(1864) and Lion passant- rampant for English sterling silver mark. Silver weight not determinable. The crystal glass base is hand cut all over with small octagonal'hobnails' and star forms. Under the base is a hand cut star burst. NB: Small chip on edge of base. NB: Old perfume aroma can still be detected.

Marked on the neck with hallmarks…an Anchor. A Lion and“Y” as well as a shield containing“CSG& Co. Measures a full 5 5/8 inch tall and 3 inches in diameter near the base. Condition is great as there are NO chips. Cracks, internal staining, broken or repaired parts present. Pump in good working condition. It is heavy cut crystal with a nice sterling stopper. Fine quality and dates to c1900. Would look very nice on a mirrored vanity tray with other perfume bottles. Rare find. Condition: One very minor chip to the underside of the stopper. Normal amounts of wear from use. No other damage. 5 1/2" H x 2 1/2" W.

Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Crystal Perfume Bottle - Victorian Era 1850-1899
Lovely cut glass crystal cylinder and floral embossed sterling silver hinge topped perfume bottle is engraved with the date 49-99. I have maintained the majority of the original patina on the sterling silver hinged top which is in full working order with a tight closure. There is minor interior residue. Overall in very good condition. I have not found a makers mark. Measures 3 3/8" high by 11/16" wide Message me if you have any further questions. It is cut crystal with a Sterling lid. Larger size is 6" tall. 2-1/2" across the center. In remarkable condition for a glass item 120+ years old! No chips, no cracks, no fleabites. Only the lid that still retains the cork insert shows any age, it is a tad askew and has a very small bump in the center of the top- nothing more than should be expected. Opens and shuts just fine.
