This is an exquisite example of a Sterling silver overlay bottle complete with it's original lid& glass stopper! Not only is it"colored" glass which is more desirable than clear. But it is a thicker overlay sought after by collectors, unlike later cheaper pieces of silver overlay. The bottle is a dark green glass with a thick Sterling silver overlay of beautiful. Swirling Art Nouveau curves. The bottle is hallmarked on the overlay"STERLING" on the bottom edge. The original Sterling silver cap/lid is engraved on the top with ornate script initials and the inside appears to be gold plated/flashed. The cap is threaded inside and screws on& off of the threaded top of the glass bottle. The cap is also hallmarked"STERLING" on the bottom side. Under this cap is the original glass stopper. The tab handle to the stopper was applied to the round base. There is a line where the tab was attached(this is not a crack) These bottles are very rare due to their fragility. Most pieces found have cracks hidden by the silver overlay. This piece does not. The bottle measures approx. 2 5/8" tall from the base to the top of the Sterling silver lid. The bottle measures approx. 1 1/2" diameter. This item is an estate piece and in excellent condition for it's age. Here is a fantastic green glass perfume with silver overlay; it is antique. But has never yet been monogrammed; it is very pretty and free of any damage. It is one of three great little antique glass treasures listed. It has original stopper, which is also in fine condition. Total height is about 4" tall. Base is about 1' and widest belly about 2 1/2" Fabulous patina on silver, over top of the perfect shade of green; this bottle looks amazing in cabinet or on dresser for Valentines day. VICTORIAN TAPPERING CUT GLASS COBALT BLUE SILVER TOPPED PERFUME BOTTLE VICTORIAN TAPPERING CUT GLASS COBALT BLUE SILVER TOPPED PERFUME BOTTLE This Fine Victorian Tapering Cobalt blue Cut Glass Perfume Bottle has a fine Repause Silver Hinged Top and its Original Stopper although wedged in and partly Broken. This Stopper can of course be replaced. The Tapering Bottle Measures 5 ¼ inches in length and the Fine Silver Top which is shaped like a Crown with no dents. It seems there could be a very small band of Silver Missing at the bottom of the collar 0.2 of a cm. This is where the original Hall Marks would have been and would have been dated around 1895. Overall Condition is Very good with no Damage. Dents to the top and no chips to the glass. c1890 French ART NOUVEAU Silver CHATELAINE Perfume / Scent Bottle -Floral Design
From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. This bottle measures approximately 2 and 3/4 inches in height. I found the silver marks after shooting the pics. It is marked on a bottom loop. 999/1000. It also has an indeciperable makers mark. Note that both the bottom of the stopper and the bottom of the perfume bottle are etched with a number. The stopper has chips on the edge of the polished end. There are three fairly decent sized chips or cracks compared to the size of the stopper, though they are on the bottom/edge of the stopper. Stunning Antique English Cut Crystal & Sterling Silver Perfume Bottle / Flask
A wonderfully tactile scent flask. With it's deeply cut crystal in a series of star cuts within a diamond shaped lozenge. The glass is a beautiful Emerald green fading to clear at the bottom of the flask. The screw-top lid is decorated with repousse work crowned with a circular cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith if you wished to personalize. The interior is cork filled to avoid evaporation of the precious contents. The silver is of course hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, Victorian in era. The makers initials CM are present for the silversmith, Charles May. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3" x 1" at widest. A really quite amazing large crystal scent bottle with a solid or sterling silver collar clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1904. The Edwardian era.There is also a number at the side of the hallmark 16627, presumably a pattern/ design number of some kind. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a bright Green VOLUPTE perfume Bottle with Atomizer. There is a partially intact sticker on the bottom that says the bottle is 22k GOLD Plated. This is another project I never got around to so it needs some cleaning. Shining and repair. The bulb is hard and needs to be replaced. The glass syphon tube is missing and also needs replaced. All repairs are easy to do your self with items you can find on line ~ or maybe you like her just as she is. This cute little bottle is 3 1/8 inches tall to the top of the atomizer and the base is 2 inches wide. The gold painted rings are intact and just little TLC will really pay off on this bottle! Antique Signed Silver Overlay Perfume Bottle
We found this 4 1/4" perfume bottle the other day with a Loetz Vase we now have listed on our site. We don't like using the words mint or perfect. But in the case of the perfume and the Loetz vase the words fit. We can't figure out the markings on the base. $20.00 shipping.
