Beautiful& early Baccarat crystal perfume flacon for the house of Houbigant for the scent"Parfum d'Argeville" This was one of the earliest bottles Baccarat produced for Houbigant, the First being in 1899, the second in 1905 which was a smaller travel version( used by various Baccarat customers) of what in 1913 became the presentation bottle for Parfum d'Argeville, it was not one of their most successful lines& therefore they are hard to find. The bottle is 4" tall and 2 1/4 wide(1 1/2 deep) It is in very good vintage condition. No chips or scratches in the crystal. It has 2 small"air bubbles" that you can see, but I understood that they are from the hand blown glass, and they are expected and"normal" The stopper has on one side a"pressed" or scratch? Early blown molded and polished clear crystal cologne. Perfume, scent bottle in a 12 point starburst pattern similar to those produced by Baccarat, 8 cut neck with 8 point star stopper. Unmarked Good condition with a minor rough spot on one star point(Probably from ring wear) Roughness felt. More than visible. Stopper has interior stress crack inside glass fitted stopper and neck of bottle as shown in photos hard to see but there. Not unusual with older pieces subjected to temperature extremes of the pre cooled + regulated heating systems era. No other chips. Flakes or damage. Polished smooth base and pontil mark. Measures: 4 3/8 inches high x 2 1/8 inches diameter overall.

For your consideration is an antique Baccarat crystal perfume bottle. It's circa late 1800's and is a beautiful cranberry colored swirled shape. This is not from the amberina collection and I believe it pre dates the amberina collection. It measure just a touch over 7" in height. It's etched on the bottom" Pharmacie L. Muller Paris" This has been sitting on a shelf in my home for quite a while and I didn't realize it has more dust built up in the swirls than I thought and it really showed up in the photo's. That can easily be cleaned off with a damp towel. This may be from the bambous tors collection. This piece is not perfect and as you can see from the photo's it has some chips and flea bites around the bottom edge and on the inside rim. Some of the chips around the bottom edge can be seen when the ... morebottle is sitting on a table.The inside rim of the lid has some very minut flea bites but they are so tiny and hard to see I'm only mentioning it for full disclosure. Other than what has been mentioned. There are no other cracks or chips. I don't know much more about this piece other than it's circa late 1800's(before Baccarat actually started etching or using paper labels with"Baccarat" on their crystal pieces) and can also be seen on the International Perfume Bottle Collectors website. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a heavy cut crystal Perfume Bottle with Atomizer. I have added a new burgundy bulb and cord for you. The cut pattern is so intricate and the facets sparkle in the light. There are a couple very tiny nibbles to the edges. I tried and tried to photograph them but they were too small and you could not see anything in the photos. You will be hard pressed to find them but you might feel them. No other damage. Chips, cracks or repairs noted. There is light wear to the gold tone hardware as expected for age. It is very clean inside and out. Although there is no makers mark, the heaviness and quality of the bottle remind me of Baccarat. It is 5 7/8 inches tall and the base is approximately 2 x 2 inches square. Bottles are in the"Serpentine" pattern which incorporates bands of diamond and clear rows in a swirl design. This is the more difficult pattern to find as opposed to the clear swirl pattern. SUPER RARE! Antique c.1800s*LE PARFUM IDEAL* by"Houbigant" Miniature SEALED Crystal Parfum Bottle. Baccarat(Empty due to Evaporation) Information obtained from the Perfume Intelligence website is that"Le Parfum Ideal" parfum by Houbigant was made c.1896. They then state that it was launched prior to that year. Somewhat confusing with their words.Nevertheless this is a very old, sealed, unsigned"Baccarat"made bottle that once held Houbigant's"Le Parfum Ideal" parfum. Baccarat did not begin to acid etch(sign) their perfume bottles,before c.1920. The gold color twine is wrapped tightly around the stopper,and bottle,and still retains the original tiny round, gold colored tin/metal twine-seal,embossed with a fancy letter"H" for"Houbigant" Also attached to the twine is the original ... moregold-foil hang-tag,which reads, HOUBIGANT NEW YORK CAP. 1/2 OZ NET COMPOUNDED IN U.S. All of the parfum has evaporated,except for a tiny bit along the bottom corners/creases of the bottle. The parfum was created by P Parquet,and was the first synthetic fragrance made. The Baccarat bottle is gorgeous! Upright clear glass bottle.With beveled corners,curved shoulders,and short neck. The cuttings on the faceted glass button stopper, are sharp,and precise,obviously very telling of the Baccarat made bottle! Copper color label.In high relief,has a profile picture of a woman's head,neck,and shoulders. The picture depicts the woman's delightful facial expression,while smelling a flower,that she is holding to her nose. The picture is amazingly vivid,for it's very old age! The woman's head is slightly tilted back,her one eye closed,and a satisfied smile across her mouth. Array of flowers drape across her back shoulders,with"HOUBIGANT" embossed.
