Antique Blown Glass Figural Reindeer Narcisse Perfume Bottle Xmas Ornament + Box
Offered here for your bidding evaluation is this antique figural reindeer Narcisse perfume bottle in its original box! Standing 31/2" tall. The delicate glass deer has antlers, ears and a muzzle painted in gold, with black eyes. The original cork stopper still remains in place. An embossed Narcisse paper label can be seen on the back of the creature. Traces of the perfume can be seen inside. Hard to believe that this fragile little hand blown beauty is still fully intact and without any breaks! The old cardboard box that is original to the bottle must have done its job protecting it. The box is stained, bent, and has splits started, and the tissue paper has holes and has darkened with age. As to the deer, the glass is perfect but there is wear to the gold paint around the muzzle, and only one black painted eye. Quite frankly I don't know if these are perfume vials or parts for something in the Pairpoint line of glass production. They have openings on one end and the other looks like it is awaiting a fitting or base. The two that are the same are about 3.5 inches long while the other two are 4 inches long. Prince Matchabelli Crown Wind Song (1953) Giant Store Display Perfume Bottle
This auction is for a very large Prince Matchabelli perfume bottle. Our research has determined it was used as a store display for the brand and was probably filled with perfume from which samples were given. This model and coloring is called the Wind Song which they produced in 1953. The ground glass stopper is also all glass with gold coloring. The much smaller antique all glass Matchabellis usually sell from $100-$250. This one is very large! Approximately 8.5" tall x 8" long and 4" wide. 32 fluid oz capacity? The inside is clean and still has a slight hint of the perfume. The bottom is mold marked PRINCE MATCHABELLI and that is all. Some of the gold is rubbed off along with some of the green on one side. We found these in a warehouse we bought out over 40 years ago! And when we found them they were in the original cases with cloth tape. We have had them in storage since then. Some people that have seen them say they are very, very old, like I said when we found them, they were old. Vintage Shofu Japan Ceramic Lusterware Perfume Bottles This listing is for a beautiful vanity set of two perfume bottles and a tray in a lusterware finish. This is stamped Shofu made in Japan. The bottles are about 6 1/2" tall with the top on. The top has a flatter finish as well as the handles. I am not sure if this is just the finish being worn down from time or if it was made this way. They show nicely. The bottom of the tray has a dark spot. This doesn't affect anything and can't be seen from the front. A beautiful decorative set. Up for auction with no reserve is a beautiful art deco style perfume bottle. Looks to be pressed glass because there is a seam around the side. Frosted bottom. Has some defects to the glass. Most notably a chip around the neck of the base- see pics. There is also a small raised line on the surface of the glass that comes down from the neck of the base onto the side but it looks more like a defect in pressing than a crack. Some small defects in the stopper. Still a very appealing piece. Measures approximately just over 9 inches from base to top of stopper. Stopper is 2.25 inches across and 6 inches in length. A superb and very beautiful amethyst glass and silver gilt scent bottle from France. And dating from about 1860. The silver gilt mounts are finely engraved with foliage. And there is a fitted glass stopper. The body of the scent is elegantly shaped and the whole is beautifully designed and worked. The condition is excellent. Hinge is good. As is closure. The stopper fits perfectly. There are no dents in the silver gilt which is a lovely shade of pale gold. I can find no chips to the glass either. All together a wonderful scent to have in the hand.
