Up for your consideration is an vintage Czech perfume bottle pumpkin burnt orange and black stripes and grounded lid measuring 9 1/4" x 3 1/2" wide. It is marked on the bottom Made In Czecho-Slovakia with the number 216 in black ink. The top rim is uneven due to manufacturing and not a chip. Vintage Art Deco 1920s Signed DEVILBISS Glass Perfume Bottle Atomizer Steuben? Striking Art Deco dark lavender art glass perfume bottle with black dragonflies and gold metal mounts. Signed DeVilbiss. Circa 1920s. The glass bottle was possibly made by Steuben as DeVilbiss didn't make the glass for their perfume bottles, only the hardware, cords and bulbs for the atomizers. They would design a bottle and send the model to Steuben, Cambridge or the Fenton glass factories, where they were produced in the types of glass specified and sent back to DeVilbiss. This beauty stands 6 1/2" high x 2 1/4" wide. There is some wear/ loss to the gold finish on the metal. Light age discoloration to the cord and bulb and minor tiny scuffs to the glass. There is one light scuff of note above one of the dragonflies as shown. There are no chips or ... morecracks. This bottle is a deep lavender color. But the shade is appearing a little darker on my monitor in the first few photos. Will ship insured. Thanks for looking! RARE Antique Art Deco BLACK & SILVER Perfume Bottle Atomizer SIGNED DeVILBISS
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is an elegant black glass perfume bottle with rare silver tone hardware& atomizer. The hardware is all original ~ only the bulb and cord are new ~ but even the cord caps are original. This is definitely a DeVilbiss bottle and has the gold painted stamp on the bottom. Likely c. 1920-1930. Again, another bottle with that great Art Deco style. This bottle is in excellent condition ~ nothing major to report. Perhaps a tiny surface scratch I missed. No chips or cracks and no repairs that I can detect. In fact, the atomizer can be overly twisted past it's tight point and I feel just a tiny give in the collar if you twist it that far. This tiny detail is something that naturally occurs after years and years of use, you may not even notice it, but ... moreit's another reason I feel confident the hardware is original. I have not shined the silver as I was not certain if it is meant to have this"brushed" metal appearance but I always liked it that way so you'll have to do the shinning. The bottle is empty and clean inside and out. The glass syphon tube is intact with only a couple microscopic nibbles to the very end. When the bulb is squeezed you are able to feel the air come out so it appears to still be in working order. The gold"DeVilbiss" lettering on the bottom of the base is very clear& readable. It is 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the ball on the atomizer. The base is 2 1/4 inches wide. You just can't go wrong with such a supreme example of DeVilbiss at it's best. INCOMING SUMMER Interesting light blue colour perfume bottle SIGNED perfume bottle in the bottom“PESNICAK” This is art deco Czechoslovakian perfume bottle. Highly collectible. Gorgeous piece made in original historical Czechoslovakia mould. It is in an ART DECO style. Original mould 1900(pre- 1st World War) original RIEDEL MOULD. It is in excellent condition(no chips. Cracks, repairs, scratches) The bottle 1 st quality glass from Bohemia. Size: 18 cm tall(incl. stopper) 7.1 inch tall(incl. stopper) Interior is clean& perfect- no flaws Little piece of history of the the signed bottle: These perfume bottles are made from Jizerske Mountains glass. They were made in a small hidden village in Czechoslovakia. Later on taken over by DESNA glass. All of these bottles are handmade in moulds(forms) that originated from Riedel in 1908. Sadly so ... morerare now. And difficult to get this collection. Never say never. However there are few points to consider that to get these bottles is so difficult. The moulds(forms) have been broken over the years and most of them are not available. These perfume bottles were handmade. By pressing the heated glass into the moulds. Hint: original old piece you can judge by little air bubbles in the glass(old ancestors had no posibility to push the tiny bubbles out from the mould) So little tiny bubles is not fault, however it is another sign of the genuine Czechoslovakian glass. Although. This beautiful piece- it is an ideal for anybody, who is interested in old glass or who is mixing his own homemade perfumes. ANTIQUE SIGNED CZECH ART DECO MOLDED PINK GLASS JEWELED ENAMEL PERFUME BOTTLE
This is an old antique original Art Deco era breath taking in person beautiful pink crystal signed Czechoslovakia in frosted letters on bottom from a fabulous estate. See closeup. The bottle with stopper is 5 1/2" by 2 3/4" by 1 1/2" The stopper is complete and I see no chips or nicks on the glass to report. The bottle has pink molded glass ornaments in a floral rose pattern and faux pearls. Also has gold filigree ormalou with white enameling. There is some white enamel loss that is non offensive. See closeup. The gold filigree is in vey good condition with nice gold and only thing I see to note is a tomato seed size wear to gold on the back of the bottles neck not worth noting. See closeup. A helpful eBay tipster says this bottle is depicted as design J-1 of 5 different designs on page twenty seven of the 1926 DeVilbiss catalog, which it reads"Presenting for the first time, authentic adaptations of famous Reptilian designs, each of which has an interesting Museum history. I'm also advised that bottles of this design do not reappear in the 1927 and later catalogs. This delicate clear glass bottle has a lemon yellow interior reservoir and an applied base of clear over lemon colored glass; it is hand decorated with enamel in an abstract reptilian design in deep chocolate brown and vibrant orange and gilt detailing leading to a starburst pattern on the base. ... moreThe bottom of the base is marked with the name DeVilbiss in script. It was the birth of a phenomenon which has remained until present day. The Jizera Mountains glass production. Highly estemmed by art lovers and collectors and sought by consumers. INGRID collection and the names of two visionaries- Heinrich Hoffmann and Henry G. Schlevogt- art the synonyms ... moreof this DESNA bottle. The INGRID collection was constantly enriched. It comrpised approximately six hundred objects in 1935- dressing table sets. Atomizers, decorative sculptures and perfume bottles. Dr. Allen DeVilbiss invented and patented the first atomizer in the late 1880's for the sole purpose of helping his patients to breath easier. The atomizer transformed liquid to spray form. To manufacture the device. Dr. DeVilbiss formed an individual proprietorship known as The DeVilbiss Manufacturing Company in Toledo. OH. Dr. Allen's son. Thomas, was active in product development and became a full partner in the company in 1905. Thomas had wanted to add perfume atomizers to his company's product line for years. But finally gained his father's approval. This would prove to be a very lucrative business venture for the next 30 years or so. The Bottle Manufactured by Steuben. This is a very cool art glass perfume or scent bottle. Made in Czechoslovakia Circa 1920's-1930's during the Art Deco period. It is signed on the bottom with an authentic Made in Czecho Slovakia mark on the bottom. In an oval for with Made in. In the center of Czecho Slovakia. It has a great design to it. It is a mold blown piece. It has a hobnail type raised design all over the body. With small points. With yellow hand painted enameling on the tips of each one. Reminds me of a flower. The stopper is a mushroom shaped top with a stem down into the bottom which is broken off. And the body is a bulbous round body with wide flarin rim. Great condition other than the stopper damage listed above. It measures approx. 3-1/2" by 3-1/2"
