An antique 1909 Birmingham hallmarked Asprey& Co. sterling silver mounted glass cream pitcher. The petite size pitcher measures 3 5/8" height. It is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks but does show a couple of small scratches on the edge near the base. The silver is in perfect condition and the lid opens and closes properly. The base shows a starburst pattern. Nice item from a top maker. Starts low with no reserve. On Feb-09-13 at 12:49:44 PST. Antique late 1800's Meriden-Brittania Co. Aesthetically decorated heavily silverplated cream pitcher and sugar bowl. Wonderful decoration includes figural women heads on the tops of the handles and Satyr like faces on all feet. Additionally. The set is engraved in a holly leaf motif along with a figural Holly berry and leaf finial on the creamer and futher leaves and berries around the figural heads. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/2" height(to the rim) x 7" wide(tip of handle to tip of handle) and the creamer is 7 1/2" height(to top of finial) x 6 1/2" wide(tip of handle to tip of spout) The set is in very good condition with no dings or dents, no silverplate loss and only modest wear. This beautiful 3 piece set is up for auction. It was my Grandmothers born in 1901. I believe this is from the twenty's. The sugar bowl and creamer are in great condition. The cake plate does have some tarnish that I did not try to clean fearing it mat hurt it's collect-ability. I'm down scaling to an apartment and must let some of my treasures go. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. This is a vintage. Mid-century Noritake covered sugar bowl with lid and creamer in excellent condition. The pattern is called Greenbay, number 5353, and is white porcelain with dark and light green leaves trimmed in gold. The handles all have raised porcelain ribs lined with gold. Both the sugar bowl and creamer are footed and make a beautiful set.

Antique Hobnailed Salt Cellar
Normal 0 An antique hobnailed square. Clear glass individual saltcellar. The outside is 2 inches, the opening where the salt would be is round,1 inch in diameter, and the depth is ¾ inch. The hobnails are small around the opening and the next row is bigger. But not as big as the ones on the side. The seven on the bottom outside are tiny. Clear balls. The next 11 are a little larger and then there are 3 rows on the outside that are true hobnails. There are nineteen hobnails in each of the three rows in the middle of the outside. The piece is lovely because of the light hitting the glass and the hobnails and its size makes it even more special. All merchandise is stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment!

Antique 19th Century Miniature Bisque Porcelain Creamer Cream Pitcher - c.1842
This is a diminutive cream pitcher or creamer done in white bisque porcelain with a collar depicting wheat stalks. Berries and leaves, all done in relief. The bottom is decorated with a ribbed pattern and the handle has a gentle twist. The bottom has a British Registration porcelain pad indicating the pattern was registered between 1842-1867. Approximate measurements are 2.75" tall by 2.25" wide. It's possible this was part of a Victorian child's tea set. There is one very tiny flea bite on the spout and some manufacturing black specks and roughness on the spout. Despite being up to 150 years old. It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and no damage to the elaborate relief design. A beautiful little pitcher. The pattern has beautiful pink floral swags on a pure white background. The creamer looks great with no chips. Cracks, or crazing. The piece is in excellent condition for its age with minimal rubbing of the gold banding and minimal fading of the pattern. Vintage Sugar Bowl with Lid and Matching Creamer. DESCRIPTION: Matching Set. Porcelain or porcelain like material. Both pieces have markings on bottom but don't state the maker. Creamer: says NW4/ 855C and Damask Rose. Sugar Bowl w/ Lid: says NW4/ 8555 and Damask Rose. Both are white on bottom and totally white inside. Black on top 1/2 with rose and leaf pattern border that runs between the black and white and ties them together. Then there are alot of gold highlights. Gold leaves mixed in with the roses and regular green leaves. Gold around the top rims and bottom base. and also a gold design border along bottom. Handles have detailed gold highlights on both sides and tops. This highlighting really adds to the feel of the pair. The design. Colors, and shape are very elegant. LUSTERWARE CREAMER & SUGAR SET, ENGLISH, PLATINUM & GOLD, SHELL DESIGN, c.1880
For your consideration is a rarely seen creamer and sugar set done in a combination of Platinum and Gold Lusterware. The outside and handles are a bright shiny platinum silver and the interior is an antique gold. The handles on both pieces resemble a piece of coral. This set has a light. Fine porcelain feel to it, very similar to Belleek china. To achieve the platinum silver and gold look it was necessary to chemically dissolve the platinum and gold and then apply them. Usually with a brush, to the pieces prior to the final firing. It is rare to find the platinum finish in combination with the gold finish due to the high cost of both materials. The creamer measures 3-1/4” inches in diameter from the spout to the handle and stands 3-1/2” tall. The sugar measures 3-3/4” in diameter and is 3” tall to the top of the handle. There are no identification ... moremarks on the bottom of either piece. There were many companies making Lusterware during the time period of the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s and most of them did not mark their wares. Because of the delicate feel of the porcelain and the quality of glazing they appear to be English in origin and would be consistent with that time period. The condition is excellent. There are no chips. Cracks, repairs or staining. There are signs of age related wear to both pieces; minimal on the sugar and a little more on the creamer.
