19th Century English soft paste lidded creamer
Offered here without reserve is this early 19th century English soft paste creamer with lid. Overall it stands 5 1/2" high. With a 3 1/8" diameter base. The body of the creamer is in fine shape whereas the lid has an underside ship that also shows a bit as a flea bite chip from the top. My favorite part is the design on the finial. It looks to be the same building that is behind the shepherds. Wonderful soft paste sugar bowl with original lid. Sugar bowl is in the sprig pattern made in 1820's through 1840's. It stands approximately 4" high. It is 4 1/4" across top. Has hand painted red and blue flowers with sprigs of green leaves. Has one chip on edge of bowl. As seen in last photos. Does not detract. There are tiny brown spots and pin prick size glaze flakes along inside rim of sugar bowl.and lid. Tiny flake on base foot. Have to turn over to see. Few lines of crazing on inside rim. Antique Soft Paste Luster Footed Painted Sugar Bowl, American?
The auction house from which I acquired this described it as an“Early American Sugar Bowl. The painting on it is more naive than most British pink luster one sees. So maybe the description is true. Either way, it’s a lovely thing. Stands about 7 inches tall, 7 3/4 wide and 5 1/2 deep. Unmarked. CONDITION: Bowl has a fair amount of discoloration. As can be seen in the photos. A lesser amount of crazing. No cracks or repairs. There is a small chip on one of the handles that can be seen in Photos 6, 7, 8, and 9. That is the only chip. Still a very lovely piece of ceramics. Early ca 1810 ENGLISH? Soft Paste Porcelain CREAM PITCHER-Gilt Over Blue Dec.
For sale is an early 19th C English? soft-paste porcelain cream pitcher. The piece is 5 ½ inches long and about 4 1/4 inches tall. The exterior has a cobalt blue band around the middle. The rest of the decoration consists of bands of gilding as shown. The porcelain body is heavy and off-white. There is a pronounced mold line down the center. There are no marks. I do not know the maker. But I am confident that it is quite early. Condition on the piece is quite good. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is just minor wear to the gilt decoration. Antique Staffordshire Sunderland Pink Luster Sugar Bowl~C.1840 Soft Paste Early
Here for sale we have an Antique Pink Sunderland Luster Staffordshire Sugar Bowl. This lovely piece has its original lid and is in great Antique condition. There are only a couple of tiny flea bite chips on the inner edge of the sugar bowl. Then there is a discoloration on the bottom and an age crack. But over all the sugar bowl appears to be in great condition for a piece from the 1840's that may have been used almost daily. The bowl measures aprox 7 5/8 across at the handles. The bowl stands 6 1/2" tall to the finial on top of the lid. The sugar bowl measures 5 1/2" across at the center from back to front. There is some age crazing on the bottom. Some discoloration, and a very, very old age crack. Please see pictures for a visual description. There is no mark that we can tell. The pink luster is all about the outside of the ... moresugar bowl and on the lid. The mold is quite exquisite with detail to every inch of the blown out& scalloped decoration. Large(measuring about 7"wide by 4.5"tall) covered sugar bowl. Sprig ware soft paste. No marks on the bottom. White background with greens and purples. One fleabite on inside rim which is covered by lid. Lid finial has some light brown. Perhaps was painted gold which faded off. Excellent condition for being so old.
