Circa ~ I have not been able to find information on this particular Ridgway mark however I have been able to bring in an approximate date of production. Noted is the name Ridgways verses Ridgway. This name change took place from 1879 and was in use until 1920. The location, England” was added to the mark in 1891. In 1920 another change was the addition of Ltd and/or Bedford Works which is not on these pieces. Therefore the Ridgways Sunshine Ware was manufactured sometime during 1891– 1920 and was a Macy’s export probably produced exclusively for Macy’s. Macy’s History ~ This is taken from Wikipedia; Macy's was founded by. Who between 1843 and 1855 opened four retail stores. Including the original Macy's store in downtown. Established in 1851 to serve the mill industry employees of the area. They all failed. But he learned from his mistakes. Up for auction is this STUNNING. ART DECO, 2 piece set of CREAMER and SUGAR Bowl made in BAVARIA, GERMANY by ORMONT which is stamped on the bottom of both pieces in green ink. This beautiful pair has an iridescent pearly rainbow of colors as the glaze overlaying the lovely hand painted flowers, trimmed in GOLD GILT around the top of the openings as well as the handles of both with just a hint of the gold gilt trailing away from the flowers! Up for auction is a sugar bowl and creamer jug from O& E G Royal. Oscar and Edgar Gutherz- Royal China of Bavaria. White with black flowers- a very art deco look. Backstamp dates this set to late 1880s to very early 1900s. The sugar bowl is 3 3/4" tall to the top of the lid and 5" across from handle to handle. Creamer jug is 2 7/8" tall and 4" from handle to spout. No cracks. A small chip on the handle of the sugar bowl- some slight paint loss.paint is 98% intact. Tall, angled and narrow, the pieces are festooned with stylized leaves and geometric designs in green and blue with gold trim. The sugar bowl is about 6½" tall including the lid finial, 7½" long from handle to handle and only 2" wide. The cream pitcher is 4¾" tall, 7" long from tip of spout to edge of handle, and a little under 2" wide. In very good vintage condition with one small paint flake on the side of the sugar bowl. For consideration is this colorful. Hand painted, sugar dish and creamer made by Chikaramachi. The tops and handles are a light brown/gold luster ware color, the sides are decorated with a hand painted creek bank scene. This set would be a colorful addition to your breakfast nook. Both bear the Chikaramachi crown and wreath mark and is also marked'Made in Japan' The Chikaramachi crown and wreath mark was used by the Noritake factory on Chikaramachi Street in Nagoya. Japan. Made in Japan" was used as part of the mark about 1908. The Chikaramachi crown mark was registered in the 20's and was used for several years. The company name became Noritake Co. Beautiful art deco styled Fraunfelter China porcelain creamer and sugar set in near mint condition. These were produced for Royal Rochester who hand painted them in their factory to market with their fine electric appliances. This pair is decorated in a beautiful iridescent lilac and ivory color with platinum trim which was called Blue Stripe. The decoration is very strong with no signs of wear except for the top of the sugar bowl where the lid sits. There are no nicks. Chips or cracks to either of the pieces. The sugar bowl is 4" to the top of the lid, both pieces are 3 3/4" to the tops of the handles.

Very hard to find this 1920s pattern in such great condition. The sugar bowl is 5" wide including the two nicely-angled handles. 2-7/8" diameter at the rim, 2½" in diameter at the base and about 4½" tall including the lid. 1930's Figural Art Deco Ditmar Urback Toucan Creamer
Up for sale is an antique Ditmar-Urbach figural Art Deco cream dispenser(or creamer) in the shape of a Toucan. This creamer was made somewhere betweein 1930 and 1937. And the Toucan theme formed the basis of many variations of ceramic pottery from pitcher to creamer to many other functional ceramics ranging from monotone colors to multi-color pieces. This creamer stands 5 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches wide at its widest point. The handle forms a narrow oblique loop from the back of the Toucan's head to the base and is quite sturdy. The creamer is a single monotone blue verging on pastel blue, similar to that used by Van Briggle in Colorado Springs during it's hay day. The Toucan Creamer has a few flaws that occurred during the firing of the piece; a few chips around the base, eye, and tip of beak; and areas where the finish glaze has ... moreworn thin. The glazing also appears to have crazed in places giving the piece a lot of character. Information on the Company, Ditmar-Urback- The company was founded by the Urback brothers in 1882. It operated out of Czechia for a number of years and was taken over in 1912 by the Wilhemsberg-Earthenware company located in Wihelmsberg, Austria which was owned by Richard Lichtenstern. The factory was eventually combined to create one entity and in 1913 the company was bought by Tripis in Triptis. In 1919 Triptis AG was dissolved and Richard Lichtenstern bought the company back. In 1938 it was confiscated by the Nazis and became Ostmark-Ceramics AG. In 1945 the Factory was nationalized. This is a very rare and unique creamer with lid and sugar in a fabulous art deco style. The background glaze is a light pink sponge over a white body. The hand painted floral is of a geometric style in black. Grays and offset with a deep rosy pink& bright yellow. Backstamp ~ Ridgways. Sunshine Ware. England. And an import stamp for Macy’ in the form of a ship in full sail. I believe this stamp is a symbol for Macy’s original store in New York that is considered their“Flagship” store. Circa ~ I have not been able to find information on this particular Ridgway mark however I have been able to bring in an approximate date of production. Noted is the name Ridgways verses Ridgway. This name change took place from 1879 and was in use until 1920. The location, England” Was added to the mark in 1891. I am liquidating my creamers and pitchers collection.running out of room! Up for auction is a Pearl China Co. Ivory Lustreware hand decorated creamer with 22k gold trim. Art Deco/ALADDIN styling. Great pearly iridescence to the finish. It measures 6 1/4" wide. 3 3/4" tall, with a 2" collar base. Marked in gold on the base of the creamer. A couple of slight color rubs of the trim, 2 tiny chips on the base of the interior(caused by dried on sugar cubes? and normal wear of the base itself. Estimated to be from the 1930's-1940's. They have been Hand Painted with Blue Forget Me Not Flowers. They have Pristine Gold Gilding on the handles and the rims. They are signed: Favorite Bavaria in Green on the botttom. This came from a collection of other Blue pieces that were painted by M. Boyer-these are not signed but are probably the same artist.
