Antique 19th Century Miniature Bisque Porcelain Creamer Cream Pitcher - c.1842
This is a diminutive cream pitcher or creamer done in white bisque porcelain with a collar depicting wheat stalks. Berries and leaves, all done in relief. The bottom is decorated with a ribbed pattern and the handle has a gentle twist. The bottom has a British Registration porcelain pad indicating the pattern was registered between 1842-1867. Approximate measurements are 2.75" tall by 2.25" wide. It's possible this was part of a Victorian child's tea set. There is one very tiny flea bite on the spout and some manufacturing black specks and roughness on the spout. Despite being up to 150 years old. It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and no damage to the elaborate relief design. A beautiful little pitcher. It measures 4 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide with the handle. It has no chips or cracks but has a spider vein/hairline on the bottom. It does not go thru; I use it all the time for cream. This auction is for an antique little pitcher. Probably a creamer in brown transferware. It is English, possibly with the pattern name of Indiana. It is a little less than 4 inches tall and in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It has an oriental or asian design. The bottom has the maker's mark which is partly rubbed off and I can't be sure of who made it. Below the maker's mark it says, England, Indiana" I suppose this piece could possibly have been part of a children's set with its small size. I believe ths piece is from the mid 1800's. It measures 4-1/2" tall to the top of the handle x 4' from handle to spout x 2" in diameter at the bottom. It is in good condition just showing a tiny stress pop in the glaze on the thumb stop on the top of the handle. A repaired crack at the base of the handle, and some crazing in the glaze. RARE Antique Black Mulberry Creamer Pitcher T Walker Tavoy Vincennes Texas 1850
Just removed from the family estate of south Texas Pioneers Sidbury Family. There is some information on the estate at the end of the listing. A very nice 5.875 inch tall to top of handle by 3.75 inches across base antique creamer from the 1850s. Pattern is the Flow balck Mulberry so prevelant in that era. Several makers had designs that were almost alike. This is very similiar to the John Alcock"Vincennes" pattern but is different. I would say this is more in the line of T. Walker"Tavoy" As stated the condition in very good. There is one small nick on the edge as shown in the last picture. Has a couple of factory errors glazed over(large pin hole. Sidbury(1830-1904) The builder of this house, was born in north Carolina and came with her parents to Sterling Robertson's colony before the Texas Revolution(1836) She married John Wesley Scott in 1848; they moved to Nueces county, where he died in 1867. In 1875, she was married again to builder Edward D. Sidbury. A civic leader and bank Director, Mrs. Sidbury became manager of her husband's lumber company after his death in 1881. This structure was part of the expansion resulting from the ropes boom of the early 1890's. Colonel E. H. Ropes of New Jersey planned to make Corpus Christi a deep water port. He began dredging a channel across Mustang Island but ran out of money and abandoned the project. One of two rent houses originally constructed by Mrs. Sidbury about 1893 in the bluff addition on upper north Broadway. There is a small chip on underside of the base rim and there is a darkened line on the base that is only visible on the bottom, it does not go through. The soft stencil pattern is of three pieces of fruit—peaches. I think—on one side, and one on the other side) amid leaves. Their stems and a bit of branch are hand painted in gold. It has an ornate handle and embossed pattern around the rim. It measures about 3.5” tall at the spout. There is a barely visible hairline crack on the inside of the rim that extends about ½”I only found it by careful examination with a jeweler’s loupe. The incised freehand writing"Depose" directly under the#5058 is a French term for"Registered" To the right of"Depose" the incised free hand writing reads: Ges Gegr. These are abbreviations for"Gesetzlich Geschutz" indicating that it is German and meaning: legally protected against copying. Patented, and copyrighted" It's porcelain composition bears the quality of other Prussian fine porcelain meaning that is very thin and delicate, and not that of heavy reproductions. This piece is in excellent condition only having a slight fracture on it's Colonial tri-connered hat. There are no chips nor is there ... morecrazing. Up for auction is this wonderful antique Parian jug/ creamer. It shows an embossed registered mark on the underside but no manufacturers name or mark. The registered mark is not very clear to read but I believe the year date letter is at the top and it looks like an'K' or'X' which dates it to either 1842 or 1857? The jug comes in a very Grecian style design with raised leaves and a tall loop handle. It comes in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. It measures 5-7/8" tall x 3-1/2" in dia. This auction is for a vintage porcelain cow. It is used as small pouring device for milk or creamer or can be used as a decor piece. The bottom says 10 warranted(a number can not make it out) carat gold. So I am assuming it is gold plated. Some of the gold appears to have been rubbed off in a couple of spots due to normal wear. Vintage Antique 22 Karat Gold Painted Cream Pitcher & Sugar Creamer Octagonal
Up for auction is a very old but very sparkly cream pitcher and sugar bowl. They are painted in 22 K gold(warranted. Per the inscription on the base) and are in very good used condition-some light wear on the edges, but this does not photograph well. There are also a few light scratches and a place on the creamer where the paint is rubbed off(about 1/16 inch area) but again, these are quite small and difficult to show in the pictures. The gold paint is inside and out, making for a very lovely set. They measure about 3 inches across the top and are 2-1/2 inches in diameter at the base, and both are 2-1/2 inches tall. They are eight-sided-very interesting shape!
