Here is a beautiful antique porcelain creamer decorated with purple violets and green leaves. Made by Zeh Scherzer& Co. C.1880-1882. Germany/ Bavaria/ Rehau The mark on the bottom is stamped in green and reads: Z. S. Co. BAVARIA This green mark was used between 1880-1882. The creamer is about 5" long from spout to handle, 4" wide and 3-1/4" high. It holds 10 oz of liquid. This item is in very fine condition with NO chips or cracks. The gold trim is worn around the rim. The flowers are decals and there are 2 spots on the one side which look to be specks of decal in the glaze. Antique circa 1900 Zeh Scherzer Z S& Co BAVARIA Cream& Sugar Lusterware Bird Design Marks on bottom of both pieces date them to between 1880 and 1918. Green Z.S.Co with wavy line and Bavaria. Some loss to the gold trim. Some manufacturing defects as expected with the period. One such manufacturing defect on the creamer is larger. But is entirely under the glaze. Both pieces are watertight. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Amazing pieces for being a century old. We try to take many pictures to show all of our item’s features and flaws.
