This is a lovely Hand Painted Nippon creamer. 3" to top of lid and 4 1/2" across including handles. It has the rising sun mark on the bottom. Beautiful flowered design as you can see, richer colors than appears her. No chips, cracks or repairs, just on tiny flea mark on th top rim toward the back. Handpaint Antique Nippon Cream & Sugar Bowl
For sale is a lovely Nippon marked with a crown. Set of creamer and sugar bowl. They are decorated with flowers and a cottage scene. A little different in each scene. The creamer measures 5 3/4 long x 3 1/8 wide x 2 3/4 tall. On both pieces there is some gold loss on the handles and knob so I believe this set was used often. They are hand painted. And you can feel the pictures, as well as the raised gold paint dots that run around the tops. The sugar bowl measures 7 handle to handle x 4 wide x 3 1/2 with knob. No cracks. W ith no chips or other significant damage anywhere on it. Some of the flowers are missing the little blue dab of paint in their centers. There are also some small spots here and there on the bowl. Which look like paint that the artist put there. This little bowl is quite unique- I have not seen another one like it. Nippon Creamer & Sugar Bowl Cobalt Blue & Gold Accents Poppies Violets NICE
Up for bid is this lovely cream and sugar set. I would guess these were never used because of their condition. Probably sit inside a display cabinet for most of their lives. The design is a familiar one in Nippon with the multicolored poppy flowers along with shades of green leaves. Directly above before getting to the cobalt are areas of solid gold design. Below is a row of lavender and white violets. Below the violets are a series of several gold hand painted dots. Below this area are partial poppy flowers and then the cobalt. The cobalt on all three pieces is the dark blue. With hand painted scroll upon it. The rims have a band of gold on them. The handles have a partial cobalt covering and the handles have a gold ornate design all of them. The finial also has the cobalt with gold, and the finial has a circular curved design to it. This ... moreset is unmarked. A full sized set that measures in at almost 5 inches at the widest including the handle for the creamer by a bit more than 3 1/2 inches at the tallest. The sugar at 6 1/4 inches at the widest by 4 1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial. Upon examination, I cannot find any chips, cracks or repairs.for that matter the gold is still in very nice condition. Offered today at a value far less than its worth.

Nippon RARE Buffalo Fine China Creamer, Covered Sugar Bowl & Salt Shaker, 1918
You are bidding on an(almost) Antique Buffalo China Creamer& Sugar Bowl and Salt Shaker dated 1918. Buffalo China company was importing blank porcelain from Japan at that time. And hand painting the pieces for the American market. M. V. McCloskey signed these pieces in 1921 as the artist. A research of the McCloskey name reveals a long, and old history in that area. During the early 1900’s, china painting was a favorite past time of young ladies, so M.V. could have been a woman. More research is required to find out to whom those initials belong. These pieces are rare and pre-date the china premiums given by Larkin Soap Company much later. The floral pattern looks much like the patterns hand painted in Bavaria at that time. But World War I had put an end to German porcelain at that time. I have not been able to find other pieces of this ... morepattern. But an online appraiser believes this was part of a dessert set offered by Buffalo China. Only the salt shaker has a flaw- a tiny hairline crack on side.
