Pair Creamer & Sugar Vienna Austria Pink Roses Gold Gilt Encrusted Leonard NY
This is a lovely sugar and creamer set for tea or coffee service. They were made in Vienna. Austria and imported to the US by P H Leonard of New York, circa 1908. We are not sure if the sugar ever had a lid. The heavy gold on the flat rim shows no loss or scratching of color normally associated with handling of a lid. These pieces have a tall design, with pretty deep formed waves that extend up from the feet approx. 1" high. The remainder of the height has a four-clover shape. The handles all have fancy designs with raised button accents at the tops and smaller extensions on the inside. The decoration is pale pink beach roses on pastel blue ground, front and back, with pretty painted gold swirls for accets. Very heavy hand-painted gold accent the rims, feet and handles. Pre-1915 Imperial Crown China Austria Creamer and Sugar Bowl
The auction is for a creamer and sugar bowl set imported by Bawo and Dotter. New York for sale to the US market. The pieces have a delicate rose floral pattern and have gold accented handles. Both pieces are in excellent condition. The Imperial Crown China Austria logo was the pottery mark of the decorator and importer. It was the mark of Bawo and Dotter who decorated blanks at their studio in Fischern. Bohemia- now known as Rybáře, Carlsbad in the Czech Republic. Their corporate office was located in New York- they also had a decorating plant in Limoges, France. They were founded 1883 and ceased operations in 1914. Vintage Retro Austria Lusterware Creamer Pitcher
You are purchasing a cute retro creamer or small pitcher. It was made in Austria. It looks to be hand painted. Brushstrokes are clearly visible in the blue and red rectangles. As you can see in the pictures. The orange bands look like lusterware. The rest is more muted and only faintly glossy thanks to the glaze. It's an interesting combination and makes for a very cool piece that could fit in with a lusterware collection or just bring a bit of shine to any table setting. It measures about 4-1/4" high by 3-5/8" across. Not counting the handle or spout. The mark on the bottom looks like a“W” within a container of some sort. Based on the information on this page. It looks like this piece was made by H Wehinger& Co in the early 20 th Century. There is absolutely no damage to this piece. As far as we can tell. No cracks, chips, ... morecrazing or even fleabites on the rim. There are a couple of minor manufacturing flaws. As you might expect. These are all glazed over, so they definitely aren't damage. The orange is missing in a couple of small patches. The black is smudged in a couple of small spots. There's an orange dot near the bottom of the pitcher. Antique MZ Austria Creamer & Sugar Bowl Pink Roses Habsburgh China
Here is a creamer and sugar bowl from a local estate. Made of porcelain or bone china. These pieces are by Moritz Zdekauker who made pieces from 1884 to 1909. Each is stamped in green on the bottom with"MZ" a double headed eagle, then"Austria" Also on the larger sugar bowl, in gold paint, is"Habsburgh China" There is also an embossed number that I can't read. Each piece is a long oval that is flattened into an irregular octagon. The sugar bowl is 4 1/2" tall from the bottom to the top of the loop handle on the lid. It has two side handles; the bottom is almost 5" by 3 3/4" The creamer is 2 1/2" tall; bottom is 3 3/4" by 3" I do not know the name of the pattern that decorates these pieces. The border is tiny open purple hearts with a red liner top and bottom. There are arcs of ... moregold bows and stars; the front and back has a gold arbor with pink roses in the center. The handles and top rims have a medium green liner. Both pieces are pristine; no crazing. Cracks, chips, or repairs. Inside of each a little dusty; I have done no cleaning. Beautiful gold trimmed antique footed creamer and open sugar bowl were made by Vienna Austria porcelain and hand decorated by Pickard China Company. The Vienna mark dates the piece to between 1890-1908. But the red circular Pickard mark is from about 1912. Pickard was known for its beautifully hand-painted porcelain and china, and this set is no exception. Realistic leaves and grapes decorate the front of each piece, with gentle embossing that flows from the scalloped top edge. The back of each piece is very simply decorated, with dark berries set against the dark maroon base color. The grape pattern continues inside, ... moreas seen in picture 2. Gilded edges, another Pickard characteristic, rim each piece, as well as the handle on the creamer and each foot. Both pieces have the Vienna Austria green backstamp on the bottom, and the sugar also holds the red circular W.A. Pickard Hand Painted mark. This is a beautiful set of 4 Pcs of M&Z Austria. Habsburg China in wonderful, vintage, pre-owned condition. This is the green set with hand painted, pink and white roses with gold trim. The 4 pieces include a collectable plate, sugar bowl with lid, and creamer. I have inspected this set and there are no chips. Cracks or crazing. But since this is old, and it is not from my family, I do not know its history or how well it has been kept. I am also not an expert on this type of chinaware and wouldn't know what it should look or feel like in excellent condition. So when I touch it it feels like it had set out for a long time. I washed it gently to get the dust off of it. But to me, personally, it feels like it need a good soak in something that won't ruin the paint, and I did not want to take that chance. This is an unusual. Hard to find pattern, in fairly good shape, creamer and sugar bowl. It is not without a few little chips on the bottom, does not take away from the beauty of these. Also on the creamer, there is a spider hairline you can see on the inside and all you can see on the out side is one tiny hairline going down one of the indents in the creamer, barely noticeable, does not take away from this beautiful set. I want to mention all that I see and I took pic off what damage I see so use the pic. For my description and if you need to see another pic. Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Creamer& Sugar Set. Click picture to enlarge This is an antique Implerial PSL Austria creamer and sugar set. They have been hand painted and the sugar bowl is signed(H.L.17) This was most likely made somewhere between 1914 and 1918. The pieces have a hand painted delicate pink rose design around the sides. There is a gold line that winds around the pattern in an Art Deco fashion. The handles have rippled edges; like a flowing ribbon. They are heavily finished in gold. Which extends to the edges of each piece. The top half is white and the bottom has a pale bluish wash to it. They are both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, paint or gold finish loss. The sugar bowl is 5" across handle to handle and 2 1/2" tall and the creamer is 4 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" tall. There is also an impression under the glaze: 1190/4 I checked a pattern 1190 and it is not the same. Creamer and Sugar dish are in very good shape considering the age. There is some fading of color. Especially the pink around the top. Gilding seems to be in good shape. There is a small rough spot or chip around the rim of the sugar bowl. See pictures. Gold gilding is in very good shape. Fine Intricate Porcelain Antique M Z Austria Floral Sugar & Creamer
This delicate antique Austrian sugar and creamer set is extremely detailed and just gorgeous. The base markings on both pieces are stamped Austria and marked by Moritz Zdekauer. There are also the number 933 over 3 impressed on both. On display they look perfect and there are a few tiny flaws. The creamer has had part of the handle glued back on and there is a tiny dark spot inside only which looks to be under the glaze. On the sugar there is a dark sliver on one of the points at the top rim. On the outside it looks fine. Nothing missing, so I am not sure what it is. Being sold as found. Antique M Z Austria Fine Bone China Creamer White with blue flowers
For auction is this lovely Austrian creamer by Moritz Zdekauer. The creamer has a gold handle and gold around the top edge. It is a soft white color with a border of lovely flowers. The shape of the piece is lovely. The creamer is 2.5 inches in height and at the widest part(handle to spout) it is 4 inches. For a vintage piece, it is in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the creamer is stamped MZ Austria. It also has a word that may be"Deposeg" although some of the letters may not be correct. It also has number 1190 over 4 that has been imprinted in the glaze. For a collector of creamers or for someone who just wants a cheery spring-like piece to grace their table. This would be a very nice addition.
