ANTIQUE LIMOGES D & Co. HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN ROSES+ CREAMER & SUGAR BOWL 1894+
Up for auction is an Antique R. Delinieres(and P. Guery) and Company(D& Co. of the La Taupiniere Porcelain Factory on Rue Albert Thomas. Limoges France(1860 to 1900) Hand Painted Open Sugar Bowl and Hand Painted Creamer(Cream Pitcher) Set with a Floral Pattern Consisting of Alternating Pink Roses& Purple Violets Sharing the same Stem and Leaf Pattern over a Gloss White Glaze Application Attributed to being Decorated in Limoges, France in"Excellent Plus" to"Near-Mint Condition" Used, Circa 1894 to 1900. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Therefore we have an abundance of antique hand painted porcelain by Americans on blanks marked from another country. This beautiful Reinhold Schlegelmilch antique creamer and sugar bowl set features lush roses and green leaves. The background is a blend of pale green to white with touches of brown. The creamer and sugar bowl have gold lines on the rims and handles. On the bottom they are stamped with a star over a wreath trademark with"R.S" inside. The creamer is 2 inches high and the sugar bowl is 2 inches high without cover. 3 inches high with cover on. The creamer, sugar bowl, and cover are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. MADE IN GERMANY- ANTIQUE ROSES LIDDED SUGAR BOWL MADE IN GERMANY. Gorgeous ROSES lidded sugar bowl. Pattern on both sides of bowl. I have done some searching on the makers mark but had no luck. No chips, no cracks or repairs. The handle on the lid is rather different than the ones I have seen. Gift item? This is a Reinhold Schlegelmilch painted porcelain sugar bowl. It has the R S Germany mark used by this manufacturer between 1910 and 1920. It has delicate pink roses painted on the sides and lots of gold around the rim and the handles. It shows no wear. I have always kept it in a china cabinet on display but it is time to down-size. There is NO crazing. Cracks, chips, fleabites or damage to this piece.

R S Prussia Cream Pitcher & Sugar Bowl Set Fruit & Roses Antique Porcelain
Offered is an R. S. Prussia cream pitcher and covered sugar bowl made circa 1910. The set has a flared shape with a pedestal base. Ruffled around the rim with a white medallion on the front. Arched handles and a fancy finial. Decorated with pink roses and clusters of fruit. Pears and grapes. The green background has white shadow flowers. The creamer is 5 1/4" wide(spout tip to handle edge) and 3 1/2" high. The sugar bowl is 6" wide and 4 1/2" high to top of finial. The lid to the sugar bowl may be a replacement as it does not fit snuggly but wobbles when tapped. The inner ring is smaller than the bowl opening and the shape is slightly warped. Both pieces have the R. S. Prussia wreath and star mark. The cream and sugar set is in excellent antique condition without chips or cracks. As stated. Antique MZ Austria Creamer & Sugar Bowl Pink Roses Habsburgh China
Here is a creamer and sugar bowl from a local estate. Made of porcelain or bone china. These pieces are by Moritz Zdekauker who made pieces from 1884 to 1909. Each is stamped in green on the bottom with"MZ" a double headed eagle, then"Austria" Also on the larger sugar bowl, in gold paint, is"Habsburgh China" There is also an embossed number that I can't read. Each piece is a long oval that is flattened into an irregular octagon. The sugar bowl is 4 1/2" tall from the bottom to the top of the loop handle on the lid. It has two side handles; the bottom is almost 5" by 3 3/4" The creamer is 2 1/2" tall; bottom is 3 3/4" by 3" I do not know the name of the pattern that decorates these pieces. The border is tiny open purple hearts with a red liner top and bottom. There are arcs of ... moregold bows and stars; the front and back has a gold arbor with pink roses in the center. I believe ca. 1895 to 1935) It is finely decorated with a bouquet of"old roses" in pink, orange, and white, with an embossed rim and foot, highlighted with a green luster(lustre) finish. Both pieces have arched handles with open tops, and the sugar bowl has a lovely lid with an arched finial handle. These two pieces are in very good condition. There is very little wear to the decoration and design; the rose decal is very clear. And the luster is very solid. This lovely porcelain creamer and sugar bowl with cover are beautifully decorated with pink roses and rosebuds and gold trim. All three pieces are in excellent condition with no damages. The creamer is 4" wide from the back of the handle to the tip of the spout and 2 3/4" tall to the top of the spout. The sugar bowl is 5" wide from the back of one handle to the back of the other and is 3" tall to the top of the cover. This is a beautiful set of 4 Pcs of M&Z Austria. Habsburg China in wonderful, vintage, pre-owned condition. This is the green set with hand painted, pink and white roses with gold trim. The 4 pieces include a collectable plate, sugar bowl with lid, and creamer. I have inspected this set and there are no chips. Cracks or crazing. But since this is old, and it is not from my family, I do not know its history or how well it has been kept. I am also not an expert on this type of chinaware and wouldn't know what it should look or feel like in excellent condition. So when I touch it it feels like it had set out for a long time. I washed it gently to get the dust off of it. But to me, personally, it feels like it need a good soak in something that won't ruin the paint, and I did not want to take that chance. This beautiful hand painted rose sugar bowl is made by RS Germany. Which is stamped in green on the bottom. Nice condition; no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some black residue on the lid that will come off. I have cleaned it lightly. It measures 3 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide at the handles. I am also listing a matching celery bowl. Early 1900's Thomas Sevres Bavaria sugar bowl & lid Peach Roses RARE
Thank you for looking at this exquisite hand painted sugar bowl. This is from the estate sale where the woman owned an antique shop and I just bought dolls and everything else that looked beautiful and old! ONE side of this sugar bowl is PERFECT. There is minimal gold loss in the side handles only. The horror is the chip on the top that runs into a crack that turns into a hole that measures about 1-16" inch. It is hard to see the hole. Due to the white of the inside of the bowl. This is repairable with a speck of porcelain paint and then I'd take a watercolor marker to fill the color in. Unfortunately, I don't even have the time to clean my items that I list. I will pack with extreme care! Please look at all photos and ask questions before bidding.

The diameter of the sugar bowl opening is 2 1/8" Other than some gold loss, the only flaw I can find is a pinhead-sized speck of absent color to the right of the yellow roses on the back-side of the bowl(the side that is not autographed) Please see the photos for clarification and to truly appreciate the excellent condition of this sugar bowl and lid set. Besides the amateur painters you also had professional painters. Professional porcelain decorating studios and some American ... moreporeclain potteries had their own decorating departments. One crucial piece of knowledege you need to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and Bavaria was its own kingdom from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive to buy than our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Pre-1895 RARE Leuchtenburg Thuringia Sugar Bowl & Creamer Roses
A gorgeous Pre-1895 sugar bowl and creamer- German. According to Porcelain Marks of the World. By Emanuel Poche, 1974, entry 1115, the undermark(see photos) which reads, Leuchtenburg" over the symbol of a castle, followed by"Thuringia" see photos) changed to"Leuchtenburg" over the same castle symbol, followed by"Germany, and was attributed to C.A. Lehmann& Sohn but only after 1895. These pre- 1895 marked pieces are very hard to find. A sweet set with pink and yellow roses along with impressionistic pink ornamentation. These also have very delicate embossed white on white details around the rims and bottom. And the top of the sugar bowl. Beautiful handles and lid handle. The creamer stands approximately 3 1/4" to the rim. Is approximately 2 1/2" across the top opening and has a base diameter of approximately ... more2 1/4" It is almost in mint condition- it has no cracks and only one tiny chip on the underside of the top lip- you can't see it looking down on the piece, you have to turn the creamer over to actually find it. The sugar bowl measures approximately 2 1/2" to the rim and 3 3/4" to the top of the lid handle. There is an approximately 2" diameter opening at the top and a 3" diameter base. See the photos for the hairline cracks that you can see inside the bottom of the bowl and on the underside- there are no cracks otherwise on the body. There are no chips on the body- only potter's inclusions. The lid has no cracks. But does have one tiny chip inside along the inside rim(see photo) which you can't see with the lid on and barely can see with the lid sitting on the table. For well over 118 years old. This is a cute sugar bowl for display from the early 19th century. The size is 9 inches high from top of lid to base. The bowl is 4 1/2 inches high. The design is a bird sitting near a bunch of old fashioned roses. The design around the top of the bowl is a tulip and feather design. The lid has a similar design but smaller. VINTAGE COVERED SUGAR BOWL AND CREAMER PINK ROSES MADE IN GERMANY Here is a GREAT Estate sale finds. This is a lovely vintage Made in Germany porcelain china Creamer& Covered Sugar. Each piece is decorated with beautiful pale pink roses. And a center decoration of a bouquet of pink, rose, purple, blue and gold flowers with a backing of greenery. Creamer measures 3 ½" tall x 3 ¼" diameters x 4 ¼" long from front spout to back of 2 ½" high handle. Covered Sugar Dish measures 4" tall with lid on. And 3" tall without lid. It is 5 ¼" wide from edge of one handle to the other and 3¾" diameters. Each has a shiny Luster Ware finish. And is marked German 7 and Germany 10 respectively. Gorgeous pale yellow with large pink shabby cottage roses all about. White on the inside. In beautiful condition except for one chip that I have pictured for you. It is on the side at the rim. The porcelain has embossed elements adding to the beautiful intricate design. Two ornate handles. This came from my grandmother who acquired it around 1910 at the time of her marriage. This antique Tesserman& Vogt porcelain creamer and sugar bowl are absolutely beautiful. The creamer is 3 1/2" tall at the spout. It is in great condition with no damages other than one small chip on the side of the spout that someone has covered in gold. The sugar bowl is 2 7/8" tall and 3" wide across the top. I first want to explain that in the United States from the Mid 1870s until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. Besides the amateur painters you also had professional painters. Professional porcelain decorating studios and ... moresome American poreclain potteries had their own decorating departments. One crucial piece of knowledege you need to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and Bavaria was its own kingdom from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive to buy than our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. ANTIQUE Z S& CO BAVARIA Sugar Bowl White Porcelain Pink Roses Pattern Gold Trim A charming white porcelain covered sugar bowl with pink roses and gold trim. Made in the Bavarian area of Germany with the"Z. S. Co. mark that was first used in 1880. The shape of this sugar bowl is Victorian and was probably made in the early 1900's. Measures 4-1/2" in diameter at the base which is the widest part& 4-1/2" high to the top of the finial. 5" wide handle to handle. In EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips.
