The scallop was often carved into American Chippendale furniture from the 18th Century. ... morePerfect size for milk or cream. Among my grandmother’s treasures was a collection of Relief Molded and Parian Pitchers. This pitcher is the perfect size for milk or cream. Indeed my grandmother often used it after dinner for coffee. The overlapping scallop shell motif is very unusual in a pitcher. Even more so for a Parian pitcher. The shells are further highlighted by the use of blue slip between the rows. It fits right in with my grandmother's love of New England. This type of stylized scallop shell was often carved into the famous antique Chippendale furniture. Made in New England. Typical for Parian pitchers. This one is very delicate and thin walled. It is probably English. Although the interior is glazed—therefore usable—which was a distinguishing feature of American Bennington Parian ware. It probably dates from the 1850s. Size: about 5 ¾ inches tall and about 4 inches wide at the widest and 5 inches from handle to spout. Condition is great except for a what appears to me as a couple of manufacturing flaws: a few tiny dark spots. Some surface hairlines near the spout that have darkened with age and what looks like a chip on the bottom ridge, except its edges are smooth. To me. That suggests that it happened before it was fired. The hairlines do not extend to the inside of the pitcher. Although one can be seen from the inside because it is darkened and because the wall is delicate and thin. They have obviously been there for quite a while and I would assume they happened during or shortly after the pitcher's firing. While it was cooling. A very unusual blue and white Parian pitcher that is also very useful. See my other auctions for more antique pitchers and New England serving pieces with scallop shells. There are flourishes and scrolls that surround the centerpiece picture of two ladies on both the creamer and sugar. There is wear on the gold of the handles and some wear on the trim. Very nice sugar bowl and creamer in desirable blue and white pattern with gold trim. Both pieces are trimmed in gold and stamped with the CHAPMAN Atlas mark on bottom: Made in England" With the numbers 1237 and R 165673. Creamer measures 3" tall x 3" at the widest point; sugar bowl measures 1 3/4" high and 4" diameter. Creamer is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. 19th c. Antique STAFFORDSHIRE BLUE & WHITE SUGAR BOWL w/ Handles - "AMOY"- 1835
Beautiful 19th century(c. 1880) sugar bowl with handles in the pattern"AMOY. English Staffordshire blue and white design. Eight sided, good condition without the lid. The hallmark on the bottom is"W.R. which is W. Ridgway- 1830-1840. The lid is available. it does not have a finial(see photos) and has a little old chip on one of the corners. The bowl. Being in good condition, does not have any chips, does not have any cracks, and does not have any repairs. It has a tiny old crow's feet on the underside of the edge, some light staining mostly on the interior and a few rub marks(see photo) Nothing serious. typical wear from age and use. it's about 185 years old. A handsome old treasure for display or to keep something creative in it. like your cutlery. You can't go wrong with early Staffordshire. It's my favorite!

Antique Blue, White & Gold Round Creamer or Pitcher
This is a darling. Delicate little creamer. It measures approximately 2 1/2 inches tall and approximately 2 3/4 inches wide at top. It does have some chips- one tiny one in front that you can see in the picture. And a larger one(1/4 inch) in back. There is a very small manufacturer's mark on the bottom- but I can't tell what it is. It is a maroon color. And reads maybe"N I" or"3. Maybe you can recognize the mark from the picture(2) This sat in my mother's china cabinet for many years. But I do not know where she got it. It would make a charming addition to your collection. Schumann Old Meissen sugar bowl/Blue onion/blue stamp/Antique/Barvaria/white
This beautiful.Antique sugar bowl was made by Schumann in Barvaria Germany, between 1918-1929, yet the blue under glaze stamp dates to the first half of the century as it has the early flat crown lion shield mark in lieu of the domed crowns seen in the later 1920's. It is in excellent condition for its age. No crazing, chips or cracks. It has normal wear on the bottom. the colors are still bright and vibrant. it is very ornate with blue flowers throughout the pattern, and of course the blue onion bulbs. The lid has a bulb shape handle with deep blue lines out lining it. The top of the bowl is a scalloped design. I looked for weeks trying to find this sugar bowl, or the creamer and had no luck, so it must be rare. The measurements are 3 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches deep by 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Antique Vintage Sugar Box Blue & White Handles Fern Sugar Bowl Sugar Pot
This blue and white sugar box came from an auction in Vermont. The bottom is embossed with the maker's mark but I cannot make it out. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am unsure of it's age. It measures 5 3/4" high to the top of the knob on the lid, 6 3/4" across from handle to handle, and 4 5/8" wide. It has some discoloration marks. There are no cracks, some chipping on the rim and edge, next to and under where the lid rests. There is a chip on the corner of the lid and a small chip on the underside of the lid. There are a couple of rub marks, one on the handle, see the 7th picture. There are some rough spots.

It has crazing on the bottom of the jar and on the inside. There are small chips in the paint and a long scratch running down the inside of the container. It has a few flea bite type chips all over the body and a couple larger chips around the rim and another chip towards the bottom. It measures approximately 5" across and 6" tall. Sorry! Antique Parian Ware White and Blue Creamer with Two Ladies on Front and Back
Up for auction is a small Bennington Parian Ware white and blue creamer with two ladies in relief on both sides set against a blue background. The piece stands 4 1/4" high and measures 3 1/2" from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle. There is small factory bubble burst on the rim. This shouldn't hurt the piece at all. Antique iridescent creamer and sugar bowl, pale blue and white textured designs
Offered for your consideration is this very unusual porcelain lidded sugar bowl and cream pitcher featuring a pale iridescent blue backround with raised textured white designs. Although unmarked I have seen this pattern listed as Altenburg Saxony Austria Germany which I am not sure is a company or a region or both. The sides of boht pieces have the iridescent pale blue background rand raised white textured figures which appear to be children at play. The four scenes on the four sides are all different. The rims have gold floral designs and there the handles and lid finial are white iridescent lusterware. As I said. Very unusual but also very attractive and compelling. The sugar bowl is 6" wide including the handles. The bowl is 4½" in diameter and it stands about 4¼" tall including the lid. The cream pitcher is 5" ... morewide from tip of spout to handle, 3½" in diameter and is 2¾" in tall. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and no crazing and the raised white textured designs or intact. Because of the design it is hard to tell if there is wear or fading but I am inclined to believe this is near mint and probably displayed only. Antique Blue and White Porcelain Footed Creamer. Pictures of Japanese houses. Trees, people walking over the bridge, there are blue and white designs along the top rim of creamer. Approx 3-3/4" in height to top of handle, approx 3-1/4" in height to spout, approx 4" from spout to end of handle, approx 2-1/4" across top, approx 2-1/2" depth, bottom is approx 2" from foot to foot, approx 3-1/4" wide at belly of creamer. There are signs of age/use/wear. Some color/enamel fade/loss in areas. There is a chip inside the creamer and a small hairline fracture coming off of the chip, only visible inside but it is under the rim and cannot be seen in pictures. There is some discoloration in the porcelain. There is a fracture line on the top of the handle right in the middle. It does not look repaired there is no glue ... moreresidue. There is crazing in the porcelain. Under the pitcher spout is a small air bubble hole. Some wear on the bottom feet. All shown in pictures. A beautiful blue and white porcelain footed creamer. Antique Blue and White Transferware Sugar Bowl with Lid J. Ridgway mid 1840s
This is a lovely blue and white transferware sugar bowl in excellent condition. There is a mark on the bottom. And I believe it says J. Ridgway. There are numbers as well, but I'm not sure if they're a registration number, or the year(1839) In any event, this piece was most likely made in the mid 1840s. There is a small bit of age-related staining on the bottom. There is some age-related crazing. The top of the lid has one little spot. There is some roughness on the edges of the lid and the bottom of the base. On one corner above one handle. There appears to be a patch that missed the glaze, or perhaps it's an excellent repair(see photo) There is a bit of roughness on the edges of the handles. This piece stands approx. 5 3/4 inches high. With lid, and is approx 7 1/4 inches wide, handle to handle.

For auction is this lovely Austrian creamer by Moritz Zdekauer. The creamer has a gold handle and gold around the top edge. It is a soft white color with a border of lovely flowers. The shape of the piece is lovely. The creamer is 2.5 inches in height and at the widest part(handle to spout) it is 4 inches. For a vintage piece, it is in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the creamer is stamped MZ Austria. It also has a word that may be"Deposeg" although some of the letters may not be correct. It also has number 1190 over 4 that has been imprinted in the glaze. For a collector of creamers or for someone who just wants a cheery spring-like piece to grace their table. Up for auction is an antique 5" spongeware porcelain blue and white creamer. Unsigned, recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. There is deep crazing, particularly to the spout, although it may be hairline cracks but has the shape of crazing and not as dark as hairline cracks. A very nice unusual handle, a bit skewed, quite nicely done. The repair is good but just off color. A bit of roughness around the bottom but fine, no chips or cracks. Best of luck in bidding.
