Made by Homer Laughlin in 1959, this set is nicely decorated with platinum and would be a prize for any collector! This piece measures 2 5/8" in diameter, 4 1/8" handle to handle, and 2 3/4" tall. New Martinsville Glass Company was started in 1901 in New Martinsville. West Virginia. In 1944 the company was sold to Viking Glass who probably started the prelude pattern. Advertising in 1948 magazines lists the pattern as'New' The etching pattern was possibly done on blanks from several different sets that the company made at the time to come up with full settings and the serving dishes that went with them. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

Antique Japanese KUTANI Hand-Painted Porcelain Creamer & Sugar Set Japan
This antique Japanese creamer and sugar set is made of porcelain. Hand-painted in the KUTANI* style that looks a lot like“Imari” with much of the decoration done in“rouge de fer” iron red colored glaze) and gold. From my original research, I found that although Imari is traditionally considered a Japanese style, that was created in the town of Arita, and then exported to Europe from the port of Imari, Saga, there is Chinese Imari, too. Both Japanese and Chinese Imari usually have a prominent blue underglaze, and that is missing on these pieces, so, not being an Asian pottery expert, I cannot give an accurate description of the style, or age, of these pieces. I did, however, find a piece, on eBay, with a very similar style, that was called“Antique Chinese Oriental Imari. item# 311009198667) UPDATE: I recently discovered like porcelain marks ... morethat suggest that these pieces are“KUTANI” From the 19th century, but again, I am not an expert. Both the creamer and the sugar bowl have hand-painted bird and flower designs. With ornate gold detailing that includes a lot of spirals. Besides the gold and iron red colors, there are pinks, browns, black and yellow colors that appear to be overglazes. Inspecting the pieces with a magnifying glass, I found that the lidded sugar bowl has hairline cracks—one on the lid that runs across the diameter, and two on the neck of the bowl. The hairline on the lid goes through the porcelain, but, to my eye. It does not show signs of having been repaired; and those on the neck of the bowl are minor. In comparison, one being about 1 ½ inches long and in a“v” shape, and the other ½ inch long, but hardly noticeable. Happily, I found no damage on the creamer, except for some surface wear from use. The creamer measures about 3 ¾ inches tall by 4 ½ inches wide, and the lidded sugar bowl measures 5 5/8 inches tall by about 6 inches wide. Antique Semi Porcelain Transferware Sugar Bowl and Plate
This is a very sweet match of a sugar bowl and 7 inch plate. The brown transferware design is called Medway. Produced by Alfred Meakin, a huge pottery in England. Both the plate and the bowl have some very delicate embossing, which gives it rich personality. The bowl and plate are in very good condition. The plate has some discoloration on the back of it around the rim. With a tiny chip on the back of the rim that can't be seen from the front. The front is in near-new condition, with just a few, faint utensil scratches. The sugar bowl is in very good condition also. The body of the bowl has some small chiggers on the inside bottom. And some discoloration on the underside surface. The lid of the bowl is perfect on the outside, and a small chip on the inside rim, I'm selling these as a pair because they should stay together because ... morethey are the same. Rare pattern. It is marked on the underside of the base with the name MEISSEN within an oval above a star. This should not be confused with the Royal Meissen factory that used the crossed swords mark. Teichert was one of several local companies operating in the Meissen area that were granted permission by the German government to produce this pattern which was widely popular at the time and still is to this day. It measures roughly 3 5/8" tall x 3 3/4" in diameter. It has an applied rosebud on the cover that serves as a knob. The sugar bowl is in the Queen's Rose pattern which features a large pink and yellow flower surrounded by green and yellow leaves in enamel paints. The sugar bowl also has deep burgandy accents on an embossed shell form. The sugar bowl measures approximately 7" long. And it stands about 5 1/2" tall with the lid in place. The sugar bowl is not marked as you might expect, accept for a sticker that states that it was part of the Zook collection. Item Condition: The overall condition of the sugar bowl is very good. It is quite clean with no chips or cracks. With the exception of some minor roughness to the inner rim where the ... morelids rests, and two faint hairlines to the body. It has also had professional restoration to a small section of the rim of the lid. The painted areas look good with virtually no loss. The glaze is glossy with no crazing and there is some staining in inside the bowl. Antique Stoneware Sugar Container This is an antique salt glaze stoneware sugar container. It is blue and white with sugar painted on the front. It does appear to have any identifying markings. It has crazing on the bottom of the jar and on the inside. There are small chips in the paint and a long scratch running down the inside of the container. It has a few flea bite type chips all over the body and a couple larger chips around the rim and another chip towards the bottom. It measures approximately 5" across and 6" tall. Sorry! Very hard to find this 1920s pattern in such great condition. Pitcher measures 4 3/4" tall and sugar bowl measures 5 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide including handles. The pieces have no breaks or repairs. The sugar bowl has a chip on the outer rim near the handle and has several brown specks. Lines, etc. The pitcher has tanned and has 3 chips on the rim and a chip on the foot. There are are tan spots on the rim where the porcelain wore off? This is an antique Bavarian sugar bowl and creamer with a white background. The upper half of both have a yellow/gold paint with a floral bouquet of assorted wild flowers. The top of both have a black trim with a black line separating the white bottom half and the yellow/gold top. The creamer also has a black trim on the handle and around top to the pourer. The sugar bowl lid is also hand painted with yellow/gold with black trim and white around the rest of the lid to the handle. There is 1 flaw: sugar bowl handle. Front left side, appears to have been cracked and then repaired. The crack can be seen but not felt. The rest if the sugar bowl and creamer do not have any other flaws. please see picture of handle* Very pretty set for its age.

This delicate sugar bowl is about 5" tall from bottom to top of the decorated lid. It is about 5" wide. But 7" wide if you include both handles. Like new even though it is old, as it was stored for most of it's life. This piece is in a color that is very hard to find. This particular color and pattern went out of production in 1946. It is both shiny luminous and delicate. Made by Johann Haviland in Bavaria Germany.

For sale is this sugar and creamer set from Bavaria by the Z. S. Co. Pale greens with flowers in the center(which appear to be daisies) are hand painted I believe. They appear to be too irregular to be decals. The exterior finish is a matte finish but the handles and interior are glossy. On the bottom there is a stamp for the Z. S. Co. Bavaria. Stunning Antique china set by M Z Austria. Circa 1884-1909. This set has and interesting history, the owner mentioned that this set was used in to entertain the elite of Hollywood during the golden era. Plate with gold rimmed loop handle- measures 6-1/4" Salt& Pepper set, missing corks from bottom, Creamer and sugar bowls, and hexagon shaped toothpick holder. Signed T. Schultz. Who knows? This is a matching SCHUMANN DRESDEN creamer and sugar. Each piece is in perfect condition. The creamer stands 4 and 1/2 inches tall. The sugar bowl with the lid in place stands 4 inches tall. There is a little wear of the gold edge on the side lip of the pitcher. It is not noticable unless you stare right onto this part. See photos.

Antique iridescent creamer and sugar bowl, pale blue and white textured designs
Offered for your consideration is this very unusual porcelain lidded sugar bowl and cream pitcher featuring a pale iridescent blue backround with raised textured white designs. Although unmarked I have seen this pattern listed as Altenburg Saxony Austria Germany which I am not sure is a company or a region or both. The sides of boht pieces have the iridescent pale blue background rand raised white textured figures which appear to be children at play. The four scenes on the four sides are all different. The rims have gold floral designs and there the handles and lid finial are white iridescent lusterware. As I said. Very unusual but also very attractive and compelling. The sugar bowl is 6" wide including the handles. The bowl is 4½" in diameter and it stands about 4¼" tall including the lid. The cream pitcher is 5" ... morewide from tip of spout to handle, 3½" in diameter and is 2¾" in tall. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks and no crazing and the raised white textured designs or intact. Because of the design it is hard to tell if there is wear or fading but I am inclined to believe this is near mint and probably displayed only. Beautiful Vintage Silesia Antique Sugar Bowl & Creamer - Near Mint Condition
You are bidding on a Silesia sugar bowl and creamer that are in near mint condition. The bowl and creamer show no signs of chipping. Cracking or repair. The hand painting is in immaculate shape as is the rest of the bowl. The sugar bowl is 4" x 3" oval x 2 1/4" tall. The creamer is 5" x 2 3/4" oval counting the handle. It is also 2 1/4" tall. The mark on the rear indicates this bowl was manufactured between 1929 and 1938 at the business of Kuno Steinmann. I have described this bowl to best of my ability and do not warrant the bowl from unknown defects. Please e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. This listing is for a Scarce Old Antique Pink/Rose and Gold Lusterware Hand Painted Sugar and Creamer Set. I am not sure of the age of this piece but it is very old and also not aware of the maker. It has a beautiful patina with amethyst/rose/gold colors and a wreath of leaves and terrific country scenery. The sugar bowl measures 7.25" wide from handle to handle and is 4.5" tall including handle and is unfortunately missing the lid. The creamer measures 6" wide x 4.5" tall including handle. The sugar bowl has only one minute chip on the inside rim and only minute crazing and for the lack of a better term"age spots" on the sides that do not interfere with the scenery and very minor paint loss. The creamer has no chips. Cracks and it looks as though the bottom of the handle had a slight crack that someone repaired ... morebut does not affect the strength or integrity.the interior of the creamer has lots of"age spots" and some minor crazing. This beautiful set of sugar& creamer bowls were my grandmothers as a child in the early 1900s. Looks as if she collected them because they don't look as if she ever used them. No chips. Cracks or breaks and the paint is near perfect. Hand painted in Japan of beautiful purple Patience flowers with gold trim along rims and gold specks on handles and sugar topper. They each measure approx. as follows. Sugar 3-1/2" w/lid x 3" diameter x 2" diameter opening and 1-3/4" deep. Creamer 3" tall x 2-1/4" diameter bottom x 2" diameter opening and 3" deep.

Antique Ridgways Creamer Sugar Sunshine Ware Art Deco Pattern English Stoneware
This is a very rare and unique creamer with lid and sugar in a fabulous art deco style. The background glaze is a light pink sponge over a white body. The hand painted floral is of a geometric style in black. Grays and offset with a deep rosy pink& bright yellow. Backstamp ~ Ridgways. Sunshine Ware. England. And an import stamp for Macy’ in the form of a ship in full sail. I believe this stamp is a symbol for Macy’s original store in New York that is considered their“Flagship” store. Circa ~ I have not been able to find information on this particular Ridgway mark however I have been able to bring in an approximate date of production. Noted is the name Ridgways verses Ridgway. This name change took place from 1879 and was in use until 1920. The location, England” Was added to the mark in 1891. In 1920 another change was the addition of ... moreLtd and/or Bedford Works which is not on these pieces. Therefore the Ridgways Sunshine Ware was manufactured sometime during 1891– 1920 and was a Macy’s export probably produced exclusively for Macy’s. Macy’s History ~ This is taken from Wikipedia; Macy's was founded by. Who between 1843 and 1855 opened four retail stores. Including the original Macy's store in downtown. Established in 1851 to serve the mill industry employees of the area. They all failed. But he learned from his mistakes. Macy moved to New York City in 1858 and established a new store named"R.H Macy Dry Goods" on between and. Which was far north of where other dry goods stores were at the time. On the company's first day of business on October 28. 1858 sales totaled US$11.08. Equal to $297.09 today. From the very beginning, Macy's logo has included a star in one form or another, which comes from a tattoo that Macy got as a teenager when he worked on a Nantucket whaling ship. The Emily Morgan. Cute antique 1800s ceramic sugar bowl with lid
We are listing this cute antique ceramic sugar bowl(with lid) from the early to mid 1800s. It is hand-painted in a casual country style. And it is unmarked. It displays well- kind of a folk art look- but it does have chips around the edge of the lid, a hairline coming down one side, and a two inch piece of the rim that has been glued back.
