Here is a rare wood handle seven tine cast iron ice fishing spear. The spear is 80 inches long. Weighs about 3 pounds and has a hole in the handle for a safety strap. The man who had this used it on Black Lake Michigan. People go to Black Lake for Stuggeon so, the spear might have been used for that. This is the largest spear I have seen around here and the tips are still very sharp. I wanted to hang it over the fire place but, I couldn't talk my wife into that. A very nice display piece or still can be used spearing.

For bid is this used Vintage Antique 7 Tine Fishing Spear Trident use for spear fishin and ice fishin. I do not know much about the spear. I have a few i will be listing, i found them in our old horse barn. This spear has 7 tines and it looks like the points might need to be sharpened. On the top of the spear there is a threaded part where you would screw your handle on, it looks to be about 1/2" across as you see in picture 3. The spear is about 7 3/4" wide, from the longest tine point to the top where the handle would screw on is about 17 5/8" long, and Im not sure of the age or make. Zulu Masai spear Anglo-Zulu war spear c 1880 GENUINE antique NOT souvenir item
Zulu spear from the ANglo-Zulu wars of about 1880-3.5 feet high with shaped metal spear on original wood shaft-all original with original patina of age. There are tally marks towards the throwing end. Sort of crisscross darker marks-what these represent we dont know. The spear has been in one family for the over 100 years and was brought back from Africa.As good a condition I expect as you will find one-the metal spear end is pitted but has not been blunted and should be handled with care. Will postprobably in a card tube-if the country you wish me to post it to has anyregulations re this sort of item please make sure that it is legal to send( should be its an antique) but that will be your responsibility!

Antique 3' Knight-Fireplace Tools-Holding Removable Spear-Secreting Toongs
Delightfully detailed and finely finished cast iron knight with fireplace tongs tucked out of sight behind him and he is holding a removable spear. Spike, axe. He has an extremely heavy cast iron body and platform from head to toe. The tools. As you can see from the photos, are in very good condition. We personally never used them for any of our fireplaces but kept him at the ready on the hearth as a sentinel guarding all within his purview. New Mexico ANTIQUE Dug Up Iron Indian Spear Lance point 1850
I have a good friend who is a serious metal detecting enthusiast. He covers a lot of the remote areas of northern New Mexico looking for iron relics. This hand forged iron Indian spear point is overall 13 1/2” long and almost 1/4” thick at the shaft. It was found in an old Indian camp on the Canadian River near Springer. New Mexico about 5 years ago. Good camp sites, one used a 150 years ago are still good spots today. That’s how you locate these places. Then you hope you get lucky. I'd guess it dates to the mid 1800s, no markings. Indians acquired these points as trade items. Typically. River crossings are always problematic and a spot horsemen are always loosing stuff, still do today. I expect some poor Indian had a horse blow up on the bank as he was coming out, maybe it was steep or too slippery and the fellow dropped the lance or ... morethe iron point may or been loose and just dropped off the shaft. A very cool, hard to find Indian relic. I will be listing several more groups of relics found by the same fellow. Payment is due within 3 days or I may re-list the piece! British military Cavalry lance 1868 pattern- original authentic lance as used throughout the 19th century by the Victorians throughout the British Empire. Used notably during the Zulu wars and in insurrections in India. Special lancer cavalry units were highly trained in using the lance which was used up to and including the first world war. The red and white pennant is a reproduction. The rest of the lance is original. Please see photos for details. The end is not perfectly straight and it may have been repaired. 15" ANTIQUE FORGED IRON PILUM TYPE SPEAR HEAD DATE UNKNOWN England This is a 15 inch Pilum type iron spearhead found in England. I do not know what century it is from- it is forged of iron. And is fairly evenly pitted, yet well preserved. It has a long socket with a slight taper and a long fairly straight seam that runs from the base almost to the head. The socket still has the original wood shaft broken off inside. A core sample was removed and identified as being white oak. The 6" head is a simple flat forged leaf blade, pitted but intact. The piece is"as found" and has not been restored in any way besides being treated years ago with special iron wax to protect it from further oxidation. Weighs 188 gms. This auction is for fine older spearhead spear tip probably from Somalia. Very finely made. Typical for Somali weapons. This spearhead features a broad leaf-shaped blade with a nearly flat cross-section(not offset like many African blades) The socket/ferrule is well-made with an open seam and some evidence of the shaft with glue remaining. Some decoration in the form of a small collar with a chiseled decoration. Still quite sharp. Minor issues: very tip is damaged from an impact and there is a forging flaw on the socket. He was given them by his Dad when he first took up fishing as a boy, and they weren't new then, which makes them 80 years old at the very least- my Grandad apparently told my Dad they were Victorian, we have no way of telling if that was really true though.
