Vintage or antique Humphrey Radiantfire No. 60 gas fireplace insert. Guessing its from the 1920s. It appears to be brass as the metal has a gold/yellow tint but not sure and dont want to scrub down(see photos) Likely a combination of different metals. The insert is 24" W x 23.5" T x 9.75" D at the widest points. It weighs approx. 57.5 lbs. Larger and heavier than many you will find. See photos for style and condition. Antique Cast Iron Fireplace Back/Fireback- Fishing Scene Signed Stern Measures 22 1/2 inches wide and 20 inches high. Weight almost 45 pounds. Fireplace backs were designed to protect the rear wall of the fireplace. Once significant in early American homes because they would absorb heat and the heat then rebounded back into the room. Also once the fire had gone out. The fireplace back would retain it's heat making the room warm longer. I got this fireplace back out of an historic preservation house in Maryland. That would make it at least 100 years old. I believe it is actually older than that and from France. From the research I have done and from what I have been told. I believe this to be 18th century, however the only thing I can say for sure is that it is at least 100 years old.

This is a stunning antique hand wrought iron Gothic fireplace fender. It is very large and made from solid iron. Completely made by hand and extremely heavy. It has a wonderful patina from age. It is from early 1900's and is beautifully footed with large circular feet. the fencing is swirled iron with ball top finials. the corner bars are the largest and tallest parts which have ribbed balls and large finials. there are two center pieces which have two thick iron circular pieces. May have had three at one point but not sure. it measures 43 1/4 inches long by 12 3/4 inches back to front 9 1/4 inches tall. there is a crack in one of the top bars. Here is a pre-owned Split Oak slat-wood weave Vintage firewood basket found at an old estate. Probably dates from the 1970's. It does have some wear and is old. Tapped nails that hold slat-woven basket are rusted and gold frame piece is scuffed and minor dents. One side has Eagle emblem. This slat-woven fireplace hearth basket measures approx 18 inches tall and about 16 inches deep. More than 17 inches long, and a bit more than 14 inches wide. This is a piece that I used for a Mantle Top to my rock fireplace. It was a top piece from an Antique Buffet. I have replaced the rock stuff and purchased a different mantle. Therefore, this piece is available for someone else to love. It has a really small China cabinet on top(mirror on back) With mirrors on each side and bottom. Carved oak tops, We put a solid piece of Oak for the mantle shelf. I paid more for it 20 years ago and then altered it. I just don't have the room for it any more. What could you use it for? 1919 Solid Brass Cannonball Andirions Queen Anne Style!
I have a very nice pair of brass cannonball 1919 andirons for your consideration. These are marked 1919 on the cast iron. They are both marked with numbers on each. The right one says 1340 the left one 3404. There is a makers mark in a circle. But I cannot make it out. They might be Virginia Metal Crafters. They have Queen Anne style legs. 17 1/2" H X 8" W 3" H x 12" long cast iron fire dogs. There are a few dings and scratches. To be expected in something of this age, but not that bad. There is a small separation on one seam where one of the andirons connects to the wrought iron, but it doesn't even seem noticeable, and is very insignificant, as it doesn't affect the usage or appearance. It isn't loose on the connection at all. So all this being said. And we know they are old numbered& marked with a makers ... moremark who would like to be the lucky recipient of these great andirons? They have cast iron posts base that keeps it upright in fireplace, magnet sticks to these posts, the dogs are not magnetic, they may be another alloy, maybe spelter, I am not an expert, but they are very cool. They look like Greenblatt Studio Arcade Manufacturing dogs from Boston MA, cira 1928. No chips or cracks. I have had these for a while, I painted them black myself(silly me I guess) I used rustoleum flat black paint to match my decor at the time. I don't believe they have a makers mark, but again, I did paint them. I purchased them from an antique dealer in New Hampshire about 20 years ago, not far from Boston. They are 17 inches tall. The pair have a nautical theme and feature a large, Spanish galleon or clipper ship as their focal point. This exceptional and exquisite pair are a combination of iron and enameld bronze/brass. The top section of the andirions are iron and feature the large ship which is encircled with decorative iron which gives them a medallion effect. A large, detailed leaf is the top finial. The center columns are a barley twist design in an enameled type finish bronze or brass as a magnet will not adhere to this section. Vintage Hammered Brass 4 Fold Fireplace Screen - 52" W X 30" H
This fireplace screen came to me in 1979. I was told- at that point in time- that it was an antique. I do not have specific information about the origin of the screen. It was most likely made in New England.long before 1979. The screen is hammered brass frame with heavy black screening. We used the screen as a fireplace screen from 1981 to 1991. Since then it's been in storage. The screening is intact. As is the frame. There is one obvious ding in the top of the frame and one in the front of the frame. I'm not sure if that was from wear.or too vigorous hammering. There are 4 segments(13" wide X 30" high-each) that are linked together by pins that pivot in any direction. The screen can be straight.
