This is a very rare pair of large antique victorian copper and brass fireplace andirons. made in mid to late 1800's they are made from extremely thick copper and brass and are extremely heavy. in a victorian style with exquisite detailing throughout. the base if footed with large routed ornate feet and the center has a heavily embossed female face and a fleur-de-lis underneath. it is very thick with bubble and floral trim. the base meets the large copper globe with a ribbed brass section. the globe shaped body is made from very thick copper and also is very ornate with demonic faces connected with hung fruit. This Antique Pressed Steel Fireplace Cover or Wall Panel is in Very Good Condition. It has a great natural looking aged patina. I think it is a cover for some part of a fireplace or perhaps a ceiling tile type wall decoration. It is 20 3/4 inches wide by 14 3/4 inches tall. It is made of pressed steel with a copper looking plating. The design is pressed into the steel about 1/2 inch on the deepest parts. I'm pretty sure the portrait is of Thomas Jefferson. This panel has a lowered edge at the top as though it slides under another panel. There are two original mounting holes to either side of the portrait. Antique Fireplace Front Magnificent Copper Flash - Harpist and Child
Here is a wonderful cast iron"summer front" from the late 1800's. It is 20.5" wide by 18.75" tall and weighs about 18.5 pounds. These were used to close off the fireplace opening when not in use. The cast image is of a nicely proportioned female harpist with her gown blown asunder to reveal some leg- titillating at the time- and a young student. The finish is a gorgeous copper flash. Very much a lost art of the age. Both knobs are intact. It has a sturdy wire on the back secured by washers to the two knob screws, which allows hanging on the wall for display. The last image is the recommended hanger for use with standard drywall.

Antique Cast Iron & Copper, GE Luminous Radiator, works heater fireplace vintage
Great old GE Luminous Radiator. This is of cast iron. Brass and copper construction. Works great except that I chipped off the tip of one of the bulbs after I took the picture of all three bulbs lit. So now only two of the bulbs work(third photo) Has a three position switch so that you can use one, two, or all three bulbs. Even one bulb puts out quite a bit of heat. All original including cord and bulbs. Cord looks rough because of the cloth exterior but is not brittle and is actually in pretty good usable shape. There is some light rust underneath and light tarnish to the copper behind the bulbs(see pictures) Stands 18" tall and 15 1/2" wide. Shipping weight is about 25 pounds. Thanks!

ANTIQUE 1895 VICTORIAN FRENCH GILT IRON COPPER GAS FIREPLACE CORNUCOPIA CHERUBS
We are pleased to offer this spectacular antique fireplace with insert. This is a very ornamental unit with every visible surface adorned with incredible details. The unit is an early gas burning fireplace and is almost completely intact. The front profile(face) is extraordinary with French elements in the details. The unit is arched(rounded) The surround has a geometric design infused with acanthus leaves and scrolls of vines and lotus blooms. There are two. Flower filled cornucopias, flanking a center shell medallion, on the top center of the surround. Each side of the surround features a large cornucopia. These are filled with flowers and each features a seated cherub. The curved fireplace hood has a very interesting and detailed, incised fan pattern which, from a distance, looks somewhat like scales. This pattern is also present in the ... morebackground behind the cherubs. The hood is prominent and gives the fireplace a beautiful side profile. Under the hood is a decorative, horizontal piece with a French styled ribbon and swag detail. It is finished with an acanthus border. The interior face of the unit is copper sheeting. This is a stunning fireplace and it is almost completely intact. The only missing piece is the on/off valve which is located on the bottom of the unit. The fireplace is in amazing condition for its age. The back does have a rusted covering but the face is quite nice and virtually rust free. There is beautiful. Aged patina to the iron, but there are also areas that retain the more brilliant, gilded finish. The back still has the damper flap which opens and closes freely. The damper is stamped with the manufacturer's name and it is dated. The fireplace was manufactured by Dawson Brothers of Chicago. The fireplace is dated 1895. The Dawson brothers emigrated to the US in the mid 1800s from England. They produced fine quality pieces. They operated in Chicago until the 1920s. A gorgeous art nouveau/ arts and crafts crossover hand hammered repousse fireplace fender@1900 or slightly before. I found it 12 years ago and have had it in front of my fireplace ever since. It has some scratches and dings consistent with age and use. It appears that at one point there had been some tape on the right side which did mar the patina(pictured) It measures: 56" long 10" deep 47" in the inside 5 1/2 inches deep on the inside it is about 4 inches tall and generally 4 1/2 inches thick. It is quite solid possibly formed over a wood frame. It has no wiggle bend or other looseness to it. Underneath it's appears to be a sheets of iron. 19th Century Complete Bissell & Co. Copper and Cast Iron Fireplace Insert
We are offering for your consideration this complete victorian fireplace insert. The maker is Bissell& Co. Inside bricking reads Columbian. This fireplace insert is absolutely stunning. The outside cover and frame seem to be solid copper. We have not cleaned the piece at all and we are leaving it up to the buyer to decide if they want it polished. Please see the photo's Very evident it is copper. The inside and frame is solid cast iron. With that said the insert is unbelievably heavy and buyer will be responsible for all shipping charges. Beautiful art deco fireplace andirons and fender. Fender measures about 38" x 10" x 7" Andirons are 15" tall. We believe this set to be from the 1930's but may be newer? Metal has scratches and wear consistent with age. Chrome fender pipes are pitted, andirons as well with scratches especially on the bases. Copper or brass is tarnished. Rust to metal legs. Copper parts will polish up nicely. Chrome parts may be polished but imperfections will remain, may need to be rechromed, see pics. This is a really nice set needs a little work.

Antique Victorian Copper-plated Ornate Cast Iron Fireplace Insert COMPLETE
This fireplace is a hard to find complete. Gorgeous, Victorian-era functional Antique- it'd be great for just appearance, installing the surround to seal a no-longer used fireplace, but even better to bring it up to date and put it back in use. Measured at the facing. It's 30 1/2 inches tall and 24 1/2 inches wide; it loses about an inch in height and width behind the facing, of course, in order to fit into the fireplace alcove, and is a foot deep. Echo Grate model#420, with patent assembly date of July 4th, 1898; it's been used as recently as this winter and works well. Looks really nice, especially with the cover on: it's heavy cast iron, copper plated(didn't realize til I started cleaning it- lost some patina, but it comes back in time) and has very ornate art& metal work: note the farm scene on the cover, it's ... morereally well done. As for mechanicals. It has a shaker-style ash basket- there's a handle in the front(see pics) that rotates parts of the grate back& forth, shaking ashes free of the fireplace for easy cleaning below- and two pull knobs that control the dampers for draft, plus sliding window-style air feed in the front of the grill facing. Unfortunately. The piece that runs along the bottom in front of the ash dump snapped in one spot(see pic) it's been repaired and isn't very noticeable, but would look better if properly brazed. Also needs two of the lower sliders repaired, and still has the original firebrick; altogether, just needs enough repair to make it much more affordable that it could be.
