Marble Fireplace Mantle 34" opening greek style
This is a marble mantle for a fireplace. The top of the mantle is 61" wide and 14" deep. The top is 1 1/2" thick marble. Overall height is 45 1/2" from ground to the top. Opening in the front is 34" x 34" essentially. If you look at the mantle from the back the opening is 41" wide x 44" tall The sides are about 12" wide and 12" deep. White Marble Fireplace Mantle, Surround, Metal Insert and Screen
You can see from the picture that this mantle is not installed. My contractor called me from a sale. Told me about the mantle, sent a picture, said it would fit and asked me whether I wanted to buy it for my living room. I agreed and was prepared to do the work to restore it. It turns out that it didn't fit once I got it home. AHHHHH! I would really like to re-coup my investment so please buy it if you can use it or want to fix it up and re-sell it. The mantle is a soft white with gray veins. The surround has less color. The screen is a brass color. I don't know whether it is solid brass but judging from it's age my guess is that it is. The screen itself has some rust on it. It will be a beautiful addition to any fireplace when it is restored and you will have gotten a bargain. The mantle itself is 64"x12"x1.5" ... moreThe metal insert is 5"thick, 32" tall. The interior height is 27" width 19" The surround is 60" wide and 44" tall. The side pieces are 3" wide.
