HUTCH brand POT BELLY STOVE sold by Lehmans in Kidron OH The stove is solid cast iron and domestically manufactured by Hutch Mfg Co in Loudon. TN. It can be used to burn either wood or coal. This stove is in new unused condition. I purchased it from Lehman Hardware in Kidron. OH in the early 1970's. Shortly after I purchased it we moved to a home with a fireplace and we had no further use for it. It has been stored there in dry conditions in our basement until now. We are downsizing and moving to smaller quarters in the next few months and it is time for a new home for the stove. The dolly casters under the feet& shown in Picture#1 are NOT included in the auction) The stove is approximately 52" tall to the tip of decorative chrome top- 42" to the top of the stove pipe flue- 18" diameter at the top- 18" diameter ... moreat the base- 19" diameter leg to leg- 52" in circumfrence around the firepot. I am not sure of an exact weight but would estimate@ 175-200# The chrome is in mint condition with not even a hint of rust or pitting. The stove iteself is also mint and free of any sign of rust. All parts are there including all covers. Grates and dual purpose lifing handle which serves to lift the lid on top and as a handle for the grate shaker. The stove has draft controls adjustable turn knob on the front door and another adjustable turn knob on the bottom ash compartment. You can also tilt the lid on top tp one side to The stove and its parts are free of defects of any kind. Model Ringgold 226 parlor stove round oak style baseburner orginial nickel
Excellent condition. Orginial nickel. No cracks or breaks in castings. Is in such good shape that bolts to trim unscrewed, hing pins pulled out, hing pin covers uncrewed from pins. Don't think was ever used to burn coal. Coal shute was removed and stove was used to burn wood rarely. All I did was clean, polish nickel trim, Wire brush and hi-temp paint. And replace isonglass due to stains on old isonglass from wood burning. This is the best condition baseburner I have ever come across. Overall size is 62" tall, 28" wde, 28" deep. It is missing the coal shute. Finial is a warrior in wolf cape with battle ax. It is a Leftwich finial restoraton and I value at $500. I would be willing at pick up to exchange with a less costly finial from my collection and refund the difference to buyer. 1895 Round Oak Parlor Stove No 16 restored Doe Wah Jack finial is repoduction
1895 No 16 Round Oak Stove. Newer restoration. Doe Wah Jack finial is a older repoduction in nice shape. These repoductions cost around $300. I also added pictures of a 1892 finial that I would switch with the doe wah jack finial for additional $300. This stove has the cast iron top ring, they changed to the steel top ring after this model. It has had two repairs to the hinge system as seen in pictures the hinge ear on door faime has been brazed and the upper ear on large door has also been repaired both repaired are well done and doors work good. It has a very ornate decorative brass finial with copper and cherubs heads/faces on the wings( original to the stove when found) It has a very ornately carved swing top with a cook plate underneath. It also comes with a n unusual folk art type of plate lifter(it was found in the stoves ashes) with a cast iron horse wired to it(two of the legs are broken) The top ring on this stove is original to it and is unusual because it is cast iron and was probably the last year cast iron rings were made.The fire box is in very good condition and the original grates are also present in good condition. This was a restored stove in 1979 when my vacation home was purchased. It was used on ski weekends and such until removed in 1988. It has been in my garage ever since. The stove is basically in good shape except for rust holes on the back side of the urn and some chipped bubbles in the plating of the top ring and the belly plate(these can be seen in the pictures) Since this is a very heavy piece it will have to be picked up in Tahoe City. The Beckwith Company of Dowagiac. Michigan was the manufacturer of the Round Oak brand of stoves and furnaces. The advertising logo of the company featured an Native American named Doe-Wah-Jack. A lot of advertising materials were created by the company including brochures, calendars, grocery lists, etc. to promote their products. You are bidding on an original. Beautifully colored and embossed print from a early Twentieth Century calendar. I purchased this item a couple years ago; at that time I paid $89.00 for it. It is titled"Chief Doe-Wah-Jack" It shows Doe-Wah-Jack on horseback fighting off an attacking cougar with his tomahawk. The expressions on man and horse are priceless. T he back side is blank. It has great bright colors. Clean crisp edges and is in good condition, apart from the fact that at some point someone has trimmed ... morethe borders off from the calendar and there are a few wear spots as seen in the photo. Including a small hole over part of Doe-Wah-jack's name. Complete calendars can sell for $300 to $500. Being that this is a single page and trimmed. It is a perfect candidate for a matte and frame. This stove top ornament originated from a stove first cast around 1867 in Dowagiac MI. The heaters were used by the Michigan Central Railroad for it's depots between Detroit and Chicago. The origin of the name Round Oak is unknown. The first theory is that the stoves were round and could hold a section of whole round oak tree in the firepot.

The Round Oak Stove Company m ini clothing-iron is rendered in detail and features a rich. Dark patina throughout. This is brand new. Its handle shows a cross-hatched detail while each side features a cast-in manufacturer's mark. One side reads"Round Oak" while the other reads"Stoves and Ranges" The iron has a mottled. Highly-textural finish typical of the era and commensurate with its age. It is predominately black and in pristine vintage condition. Perfect for the discerning collector. Old Advertising Mug Chief Doe-Wah-Jack Round Oak Stove - Beckwith Estate
Old advertising mug for the Round Oak Stove Manufacturing Co. 1871 to 1946) in Dowagiac Michigan. Dowagiac is pronounced Doe-Wah-Jack. Chief Doe-Wah-Jack is the name of the fictional indian used as an advertising symbol for the stoves. Logo is shown on the front with" DOE WAH-JACK" and" ROUND OAK" on the front. Bottom is marked with" THE ESTATE OF P. D. BECKWITH'S. DOWAGIAC MICHIGAN. U.S.A. Dr. Philo D. Beckwith started and owned the stove company. Cup measures about 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches diameter of the base. Cup has no chips and i see one very tight hairline crack on the backside. It is crazed. It has also turned brown with use. Some glaze lose near the bottom as shown in the pictures. Winning bidder will also receive a letter for the City of Dowagiac with some history of the stove company's ... morelogo. ANTIQUE 1890'S BECKWITH ROUND OAK WOOD STOVE WORLDS FAIR FINIAL CROWN TOP--LOOK!
You are bidding on an ORIGINAL 1890's Beckwith Round Oak wood stove finial! This Worlds Fair finial measures approx. 10 1/2" tall. And has the crown? at the very top. Base measures approx. 4 3/4" diameter. The finial has the four outer bands that read"Beckwith's Round Oak" and has the center ball/sphere. There is a long screw that goes all the way through the finial that is bent and needs to be straightened. There are some small dents in the base, and one dent in the center ball. Unsure what this is made of. Copper? Brass? This was found in a local estate and is being sold just as we have found it! We have not attempted to clean, polish, or fix this in any way.
