This is a Vintage Perfection model 1715A portable kerosene heater with original Pyrex glass. This is a great collectible! great for parts if you are restoring another similar one. There is some rust areas(see pictures) but the metal is still in good structural condition. This would be a great little restoration project. It has a great handle and the heater is approximately 25inches tall by approximately 17 inches wide at the base. Up for sale is an all-original Perfection Smokeless Kerosene portable Heater dated 1925.yes. It's 88 years old and works awesome! The inner tank of galvanized steel is clean and without holes. The wick(photo#9) is in perfect condition and the dial which adjusts it moves freely. The glass shade, made by Pyrex, is without cracks or chips and features the original wavy glass. The heater measures 32" in height including handle; base diameter is 14" glass diameter is 9" and 8" in height. It is USA made, US Patn#s 185, 994, 1840698. The stove metal has been sanded and painted with Rustoleum High Heat Enamel to protect and preserve. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! The chrome/stainless steel trim has surface corrosion and can be restored to its beauty when it was new 100 years ago. The patent date is May 23. 1913. The kerosene oil tank has the fuel gauge that shows how much fuel remains in the tank. I have not tested that to see if it is functioning. There is a wick although I don’t know if it is still usable. This wick is for use in Perfection heater models: 325 330 350 360 370 430 460 and 470. The back of the label has directions for replacing wicks. The wick is 5 inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. The metal holder is 3 ¾ inches tall. The box is 5 3/8 inches tall by 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The wick is in very good condition. And shows no evidence of rot. The holder is intact. With no dents. For your consideration we are offering this outstanding antique Perfection Model 750 kerosene/ oil heater. Overall this piece measures in at 25"H 13"D. Condition is as follows/ shown: Heater is completely original and without restoration minus the 2 top screws were replaced due to being locker down. The paint is fantastic with only a few small rubs to mention. The glass shade is void of damage, the nickel plat is shiney/ bright. There are no dents, heavy scratches, holes, corrosion, heavy rust to mention. The piece still has a wick as shown. I don't believe this was used very much nor has it been exposed to moisture. Basically put a beautiful antique heater in tremendous condition ready to use or to just admire as a decorative addition to any vintage decor. Antique (1902 -1912) Perfection #130C Smokeless Oil or Kerosene Heater
Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil- Kerosene Heater Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil Heater. I rubbed off enough of the"patina" to determine this heater has 1900 and 1902 patent dates. There is also a"7 12" stamped in the top of the wick cap(see 2nd to last photo) That may indicate a production date. I think the later models came out in 1913. It still has a good Perfection wick. This kerosene heater measures approximately 24 1/2" tall, 12 1/2" side to side, and 12 1/2" front to back. This old heater appears complete except for the sight glass and would make a great restoration project if you want it to look like new. Or you could leave it as is, as shown in photos, for a rustic addition to your decor.
