This is a Vintage Perfection model 1715A portable kerosene heater with original Pyrex glass. This is a great collectible! great for parts if you are restoring another similar one. There is some rust areas(see pictures) but the metal is still in good structural condition. This would be a great little restoration project. It has a great handle and the heater is approximately 25inches tall by approximately 17 inches wide at the base. This auction is for a vintage 1930's Perfection Smokeless Oil Heater in excellent condition. As the pictures show. It works perfectly and has seen very little use. The chrome is bright and looks new. The attaching hardware is virtually rust free, the oil reservoir is bright and clean, fuel gauge functional, and there appears to be plenty of wick in it. The wick wheel raises and lowers the wick very smoothly. The vintage glass globe is chip and crack free. I see several tiny rust spots on the base, around the seams, and there is a dime sized chip in the porcelain where the handle contacts the chimney. This heater is in exceptional, original condition. This Perfection heater is a real beauty and looks nearly new. It looks to have been only used once. I know Spring is near. But you should buy this one for next year as prices and bidding competition for heaters will go up as Winter comes. The globe has no cracks or chips and shows no signs of heat marks. VINTAGE PERFECTION PORCELAIN & GLASS HEATER - 750X - TAN & WHITE
PERFECTION PORCELAIN AND GLASS 750 X HEATER- TAN AND WHITE This heater is in fairly good condition- it is as it came from an estate sale- I wiped the glass globe down to check it for chips or cracks- it has none- looks very good but needs a good cleaning in/out. Porcelain in pretty good shape for it's age- has a few chips which I tried to show all in the photos- there is little to no rust around the bottom flange as so many of these have. The chrome ring has a little surface rust in spots and along the back by the 750 X mark- I have shown this also in the photos. The fuel pot has not been cleaned- it has rusty colored drippings on it's top- appears to have dripped on it from above not from the pot itself as the pot is solid and has little or no rust inside- bottom of it is basically rust free- I believe the top of the pot will clean ... moreup very nicely with some polishing. Etc. Flame spreader in fairly good condition- wick moves up/down freely and has over 1/2 of it left and in good condition. Bottom plate pretty good with only a slight bit of rust- see photos. All in all this heater is in pretty good shape- needs cleaning and elbow grease and it can be an attractive functional addition to any home or workshop- or leave it as it is. Vtg Antique Perfection Oil Heater Pyrex Glass Insert Only Original
This is for an original antique glass insert for a Perfection Oil Heater. I removed this from a heater that too rusty to save. The glass does not have any chips. Just the usual rough edges from the manufacturing process. There are no cracks. There is one mold mark, also from the manufacturing. The glass is bright and shiny with the need for only minor cleaning. The height is 8 3/16. The opening is 7 7/8 outside diameter.
