Antique Union Company kerosene heater for heating irons. This cool old metal stove which was used to heat up the cast iron ironers used in during the turn of the century. This stove is about 9.5 inches tall. 6.5 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It has a tank for holding the kerosene and uses a 3.75 inch wide wicK(still intact inside the stove) Knob on side of the stove regulates the length of the wick. When lit, the flame's heat rises and heats the iron resting on top of the platform. Fairly nice decal logo from the“Union” company adorns the front of the kerosene tank. There is an access hole on the back left corner of the tank which is plugged with a piece of cork(not sure but do not think the cork is original.probably used some sort of metal cap or plug. It had one real purpose in life and that was to heat the clothes ironers used for pressing the family laundry. They were made with 1,2, and 3 burners. This is obviously a one burner. When electricity was introduced into homes, the electric iron replaced need for the heaters. Just about every housewife had one. Patent dates seem to range from about 1865 to 1901. The large wicks were meant to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area to heat the irons quickly. Overall the unit is in fair to good condition, shown a fair amount of corrosion to the surface, blackening from heat, and dings and dents. Appears to be usable, but has not been tested. Sold in as described condition, with no implied or expressed warranties of any kind.

Hi. Up for auction is an old glass heater? I am not sure what this is. I will describe it the best is can, if it's not some kind of heater you can let me know. thanks. it is made of brown glass. There is a metal lid the center rod like thing compresses. it has a metal handle and band. in raised lettering it says, PATENTED JUNE 24, 1919 JUNE 15, 1920, on the bottom is an OWENS GLASS CO symbol. IT is 8" high and 7-1/2" across the bottom. I have not opened it or tried to clean it. I think the some of the stuff on the outside is old dried up paint.

Here is a vintage Duo Therm Oil Burning Stove. Marked on tag" Motor Wheel Corp. Lansing Mi Model 575-9" Has pat# 2313554 and others which could be useful in dating it. Great for use as a vintage decoration. Very ornate grill surround. Directly from the estate of the original owner. Was working when replaced but I did not ask how long ago that was. Whether or not it could be used or restored for use is your decision. This is a mid sized heater. It is about 34 inches tall. 17 inches wide and 21 inches deep. All 4 feet and the rear leg are present and good. Fuel tank is good and reasonably clean. There is a shallow indentation on one side(photo#6) The top has some indentations(photo#7) It has a glass fire viewing door and this door needs the latch repaired. Outer fire door is fine. Here we have a vintage 1940's Bunsen"Sports Heater" Made in Denver, Colorado. The unit has some lovely patina to it- clearly showing its age, but is still extremely solid. Pieces like this are a great addition to any collection, or a great way to start one: it's a sign, an early post-war use of metal, it's a bit Art Deco, and it is Americana. A great piece. These specialized heaters were advertised in Hunting and Fishing magazines. This combination heater& cooker was made to use kerosene. There is also a"7 12" stamped in the top of the wick cap(see 2nd to last photo) That may indicate a production date. I think the later models came out in 1913. It still has a good Perfection wick. This kerosene heater measures approximately 24 1/2" tall, 12 1/2" side to side, and 12 1/2" front to back. This old heater appears complete except for the sight glass and would make a great restoration project if you want it to look like new. Or you could leave it as is, as shown in photos, for a rustic addition to your decor.

Offered for consideration is a 1920's-1930's Perfection Oil Heater Model 530 in good vintage condition as shown. Its top section has its original patina aged finish with some surface rust present. Its base has some age old"alligatored" black painting from previous owner. Solid tank and in good age commensurate condition otherwise. Vitage 1920 Antique Barler Ideal Kerosene Heater (Blue enamel color) VERY RARE!!
You are bidding on a True Vintage Antique. This item up for bid is a 1920 Kerosene Ideal Heater made by The"Barler Manufacturing Company" out of Chicago Illinois U.S. of A. The color of this model is a very rare find as I've only seen this exact color once and I've seen a WHOLE lot of them. This particular one was bought from an Amish family in Pennsylvania Amish country. The actual size is about 25" tall and 13" wide and it is absolutely beautiful. This Barler heater is in a great condition for being 93 years old and coming up on it's 100th birtday(a bit of rust but not full on rust color at all) It is fully operational(still please have inspected if going to use Ideal heater for every day use) and fully unrestored(being original state and looking great is rare) The nickel plating chrome still shines nicely(see ... morereflections in pictures) as does the powder baby blue(or North Carolina blue) enamelware paint. If you look at the provided pictures you will also see the gold of the kerosene tank looks awesome condition with hardley any rust and the craftmanship in the design of the tank knobs and features are timeless early 1900's style. The cast iron top grill design is beautiful and has kept it's color(not rust in picture it is really a black goldish tone) and also has a beautiful 1900's style. The unbelievably best thing about the condition is. the glass of the mica window.is UNBROKEN. Is in ONE PIECE, IN TACT and has NO CRACKS! The only flaws of condition is a 2 1/2" wide 1/4" deep slight dent in the front of heater just between the mica window and cast iron top(this is easily pulled out and fixable as it is really not deep at all) The other condition flaws are the 3 spots of missing paint(2 spots are 1" and 1 is 1/2" but really takes nothing away from the vintage look(I've clearly shown in pictures) Other than that see pictures for any light rust and judge yourself.
