It shows some wear that will add an old rustic look. These were hung by the fireplace. Stove or hearth and used to remove the ashes created by burning wood or coal. Made from heavy duty iron and it was made by the UNION FORK& HOE CO. Nice well made iron shovel. It is 18" long and 5 1/4" wide. No cracks or repairs. The blade edge has wear from use. Probably zinc, in a traditional ribbed design with a wide spout and swiveling bail handle with a small tipping handle welded to the back tapered side. Part of the original paper label is still on the bucket. The manufacturer was Martiniti and the line appears to have been called Martin Ware. The Scuttle is 17 inches to the spout. 12 inches high and 12 inches across at the bale handle. The shovel is 14.25 inches long and 4.25 inches across the scoop end. The condition is fair. Given obvious hard use. The raised edge on the base of the hod is split in several places, the base of the interior of the scuttle is rusted. This is an antique ash and kindling bucket/pail made of galvanized steel. I purchased this many years ago at a barn sale in Kentucky. The bucket measures 16 1/2 inches across at the widest and 10 inches high. With the handle raised it measures 16 inches high as well. This is in phenomenal condition! No rust- no holes and very large. I am also including the coal shovel as well- almost 20 inches from top of handle to end of shovel in length. The shovel part measures approximately 8 inches. Great piece for practical use or décor!

Shaft has a nice age patina, surface shovel part is worn from use as one would expect. A good item if you need a hearth shovel for a regular size fireplace. Shaft has a very gentle curve or bend in it toward the open shovel mouth. This is pretty subtle and isn't visible when tool is viewed dead-on.

You are bidding on a Vintage antique REEVES coal bucket ash tray. Bucket is black. Has no dents and is in great shape. I have not seen one converted into ash tray yet so this is really pretty unique and cool. This entire piece is very sturdy and well built and comes with original shovel(An artist has painted a very nice christmas snowman onto shovel, looks really nice as christmas decor for holidays but it can be taken off I'm sure if you like better as just black) Bucket dates back to anywhere between 1900's and 1930's i believe and ash tray is very vintage as well. There is really ice cassic gold post that gives great look for indoor or outdoor purpose. this piece does have small spots of rust or missing paint but not very bad at all(see pictures using zoom) if any thing the inside of ash tray has most rust(see picture) This ... moreis also very convenient to carry thanks to the handle on the ash tray and is not too heavy to move. For sale is one used UNION FORK& HOE CO. all steel retro fireplace ash or coal scoop shovel tool. It seems to be in very nice condition considering it's age. With little wear on the'scoop' edge. This item measures approximately 18.5" long X 4.75" wide on the'scoop' edge. It has scrapes and scratches, some minor bends, and a little rust, but no deep pitting rust. I believe this item was shaped partly from flat steel plate, but parts of the handle have the rough surface as though it were forged? The upper part of the handle is hollow, with a hole in the back and a hole in the end You could run a cord or strap through there to hang it if you wanted to. It has not been painted nor sanded by me, there are no welds nor cracks nor repairs.
