Vintage/Antique Wicker Carriage/Buggie~With Vintage Rare Baby Wobbles Doll
For auction is a vintage~anitque? doll buggy/carriage& what I believe to be a rare Baby Wobbles doll. The carriage/buggy is in pretty good condition. It appears to made of wicker. Wood, and a type of metal. It is brown with black frame, and black wheels, with beautiful spiraled supports. The seat itself is still in tact, I just want to mention it is weathering.it is a thin type of wood or wicker and is raising(weathering) It is not broken or cracked, however there is a small gap on one side~which you can see in the one pic(zoom in) and it will be the left side of your view. It looks as though that was the way it was made~to me. The thin black tires are worn down in spots, revealing the wire/metal that makes the wheel. The back of the buggy/carriage folds down(shown in picture) the front foot resting raises as well. In pausing to check ... moreover the buggy, to ensure the description is to the best of my ability~I have just discovered that the buggy folds up entirely.as if you are folding a stroller. Since I cannot add another picture without deleting one~if you are interested in this item, I will gladly send the picture of it folded to your email. The handle to push the buggy is weathered. It due to it's age naturally has the fading or rubbed down spots of the wood, markings, a couple slight cracks(not open) The wicker on the sides of this item, has only a couple little pieces of wicker missing(in two spots& they are not big) It's a beautiful piece, however keep in mind that it's still fragile. Antique Victorian wicker doll baby buggy or pram. The buggy is in very good condition. The wicker is intact along with the pie shaped celluloid windows on each side of the buggy. It measures 29 inches long, 13 1/2 inches wide and 30 inches tall. The inside of the buggy measures 9 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long. The brake mechanism is in working order. It has a steel frame, steel springs, a wooden handle, and steel foot brake. Also a reclining back. The rubber on the wheels has oxidized and is very hard. The rubber on one of wheel has broken off. Up for sale is our family's Antique Wicker Baby Carriage/Buggy from The National company in Perrysburg. Ohio. This was purchased for my Grandfather, an only child and then 20 years later used for his daughters, then my mother used it for me. It has since been stored indoors for over 60 years. I have used it as a beautiful decoration with artificial flowers during the year and filled with fake wrapped presents at Christmas time. I remember my mother giving a baby shower for a friend and having me push the buggy in filled with wrapped presents. All the parts work on this buggy, and there is a little hidden compartment in the bottom that is covered with a fold back cloth top for keeping valuables, diapers, etc. The wooden wheels are beautiful. This is in its original condition. It measures approximately: 45-1/2 in. high with the bonnet in ... morean upright position, the entire length is approximately 47-1/2 in. long with the bonnet down, and 46 in. with the bonnet up. The wicker body only withe the bonnet down is approximately 33-1/2 in. long. The Bonnet is 21-1/2 in wide. The wood wheels are 14-1/4 in. across. This is pick up only, though I do travel a little so possibly an arrangement can be made for delivery or to meet part way. I am selling this only because I have downsized and neither of my two children likes or wants this-they are not into antiques. This would look so gorgeous on a large porch with flowers in it, or as it was meant to be used for a baby. Please be aware that I do not accept returns. There is no reserve price on this. This is a Victorian Baby Carriage that is about 5 inches high from parasol to ground. And about 3 1/4 inches long, and about 1 1/2 inches wide. The really neat thing about this is 2 things: 1. The metal wheels turn easily and work! 2. It is labeled with a little metal heart on the side- Louis Nicole" Trademark. The carriage itself is made of very detailed and colored resin. It has a lacey top to the covers, and a green plush back. The carriage looks like a wicker, and has fancy details. The parasol is real lace, and has fancy tassles on the back. I love this. And this is perfect for that special collector!

For sale is an Antique/Vintage Hedstrom Baby Carriage/Stroller. This item is an estate find and needs fixing. The stroller's top is not attached and in rough shape with part of it torn. There is rust on all of the metal, one tire has a chunk taken out of, the foot rest part is metal and bent and rusty. The stroller can be folded as shown in the pictures, not sure of the exact age. The carriage body with its fanciful curvy lines is constructed of woven wicker with a turned wood handle. Everything else is metal. The metal wheels with hard rubber rims work quite smoothly. Pictured in the ... more5th photo above is a mechanism behind the seat that controls the raising and lowering of the foot rest and seat back. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. Some of the features include: a foot pedal brake, the carriage itself swivels on the frame, the bassinet rotates approximately 160 degrees, the base platform within the carriage has an attached hinged headrest support for range of movement. I believe all of these features are distinguishable from the photos included for this listing. I have examined this doll carriage thoroughly and have not been able to distinguish any markings, stampings or other discernable aspects relating to the manufacturer. The width is 21" The height to the top of the carriage canopy is 45 1/2" The height when measured to the top of the baby basket is 32" The baby basket is 36" long& 16 1/2" wide. Antique Heywood Brothers Wakefield Co Victorian Wicker Baby Carriage
For auction is a beautiful Victorian baby carriage complete with a shade umbrella manufactured byHeywood Brothers Wakefield Company of Gardner Mass. The model is known as"The Heywood" The carriage is in origanal found condition so it will need some minor restoration before it is ready for display. Fortunately. All the wicker is good and there is no visible damage to it. The umbrella is missing one spine and the whole thing needs to be recovered. The padding needs to be replaced and the floor of the carriage needs some repair. Finally, the rubber tires have some missing pieces. Other than these things, the piece is in excellent condition. There is a red and white paper label on the bottom that reads"Heywood Brothers Wakefield Company Gardner Mass" The name of the company was changed to Heywood Wakefield in 1921 so this ... morecarriage obviously predates 1921. The umbrella is collapsible and it fits into a holder on the carriage handle. It can be moved into different positions to keep the sun out of baby's eyes. The parking brake still works and the suspension/springs are fine. There is almost ne paint loss to the green under-carriage. There are no missing spokes in the wheels. This would be a great, reasonably priced candidate for restoration. The Heywood Wakefield brand was considered the Cadillac of carriages and this one is a great example. There is no way I can package this for shipment so it is a pick-up only at my home in eastern Pennsylvania. We are located one mile from the Delaware Water Gap exit of Route 80. About two hours west of NYC. I would agree to drop it off at our local UPS store for shipping but all arrangements and payments will need to be made by the purchaser.

It is comprised of little 3 1/2" squares made of woven wool yarn that is variegated with a shiny thread giving a sparkle to the overall finish. The squares are woven and then crocheted or sewn together with the wool yarn. There is a 1/2" scalloped edge all handcrocheted to the border. Then. On one corner there is a large bouquet of pastel flowers done in yarn in shades of pink, blue and mint green held with a blue bow made of chainstitching. The flower embroidery is kind of a crewel work and is done on the top only- it does not go thru to the backside of the blanket. It is made so that when the baby is laid in the blanket. This is a definite wool and might even be Lindsey-Woolsey material- It has that kind of'itchy' feel to it. CONCERNS: the last 3 pictures show some moth damage close to the edge on one square. A square that has some pulls to the thread and a small stain right on the edge(nothing bad) It is kind of a darker ivory color which I think maybe age-related darkening but don't know for sure. It measures 33" X 40" and measures 51" corner to diagonal corner. Nice addition to a collection of handwork. I remember reading that Victorian ladies used to make small looms which they wove squares like these on and then used them in such as this and I think that is what this is. Untitled Document Antique Wicker carriage rocker with lace canopy. For Life sized Dolls This beautiful condition wicker carriage. Is in excellent antique condition. This is large enough to put a real life sized doll baby into and add your own bedding linens. Just carriage measures approx. 25" x 18" X 14" without the canopy. It comes with what you see here in the photos. The original pillow and bedding materials shown and the vintage lace canopy with ribbons and bows shown. I don't believe the canopy wire frame is original. It is not well attached and is really just for show. You are buying the antique wicker rocker carriage and the rest is just added in. The wicker carriage is very well constructed with a solid hard wood bottom as shown too. The few I have seen have all been in poorer condition with a lot of broken wicker ... moreand cracked or missing wood bottoms. This one is choice! The Wicker is quite delicate. So no international shipping on this one, sorry. This is a rare find and rarer still to find one like this in such fantastic shape! I usually ship free.
