Up for bid is an old antique Hotpoint electric space heater. Item is in decent used condition for being so old. It has a copper top with a cast iron base. It has wear on the copper that will need to be cleaned and polished. Also has some tape on each side of the bakelite on and off switch.But it works good and puts out a good amount of heat. There is also a small piece of porcelain where you screw in the coil that has a chip in it. This does not affect how it works. I am also throwing in an extra used coil that also works and comes with the original box. Please see pictures for what you will be receiving. This is a must for any collector. This auction is for an antique Markel Electric Heataire Neo-Glo space heater. It was manufactured by Markel Electric Products in Buffalo. New York. This item was owned by wife's grandparents and then given to my wife's parents in the late 1950s. So it is most likely originally dates from the 1940s or so. For at least the past fifty years, it has been stored on a shelf in a closet. We plugged it in this afternoon and it worked, both as a heater and as a fan. We only ran it for fifteen minutes and then unplugged it and lightly cleaned it of its dust. This is a very heavy cast iron art deco type piece. It almost looks like an antique cash register. The front grill is removable. It is a dark brown color. The cord appears original and is in good condition. Antique Electric Heater Lindemann & Hoverson Industrial Steampunk
Early industrial space heater. Electric by Lindemann& Hoverson. Large 12" solid copper reflector, Art Deco/ Moderne style cast iron base. Has none of the safety features required on modern space heaters, definitely looks like it would put out quite a serious amount of heat! Use cautiously(at your own risk) with some ordinary common sense, please, if you are planning to restore it& fire it up. I don't know it this heater works or not. Looks like it probably does, but it is untested. Sold as-is. It will need re-wiring, part of the cord was badly heat-damaged, and was removed(about 6-8" or so) There is a usable length of cord left. Rest of the cord looks like it is probably in ok condition, but buyer should verify that the cord is safe to use. Both cord and the original round plug, attached to the cord, are included but ... morenot shown in photos. Also, the cord will be packed loose, not wired up to the heating element. Inner wires are insulated using a lot of strands of what appears to be cotton or maybe rayon cord. Old style plug is a simple 2-prong, without a wider/polarized blade. The whole heater. Reflector, base and all, was painted plain institutional grey when I acquired this item. Much of the awful paint has already been removed, especially from the reflector(where it shouldn't have been, anyway) but there's still a bit of work needed to clean this up, if you are planning to restore the original appearance. Heating element unscrews like a light bulb. Uses mica. A natural mineral, as insulation(this is fairly common on older electrical items and particularly for heat-producing items) The wire heats up like a toaster element. Looks intact, but have not tested it in any way. Restoration possible. Also great to use as a source of interesting and unusual parts, industrial/ Steampunk project or? Antique Electric Wall Bathroom Heater
Offered for sale is a antique electric wall heater. If I were to guess. I would say it was circa 1940-50. It is chromed and still works. The coils are a little twisted but that doesn't impact its ability to heat up a room. I would not use this item for its original purpose(heating a bathroom) but is being sold as a collectible someone could put in a bathroom(unconnected) as a period piece. Vintage Fisher Peanut and almond roaster heater antique electric dispenser
Cool restoration project. Old Fisher Peanut and Almond heater I think. It has a heat light bulb in the bottom. It also has a light and cover on top that still in great condition. The cord needs to be replaced. Some metal is bent. A little rust inside but this is from California and does not have much. It needs glass. I think one piece of glass is good but that is it. The metal that is pulled up that you can see in the picture goes back into place. I just had it pulled up and did not put it back for the pictures.

This heater is very old but still works. It has some rust and plenty of wear from use. Some of the wire spokes on the front are slightly bent. One of them is disconnected from the rim. The top of the rim is held on with a piece of wire. The cord insulation is a little frayed where it connects to the lamp but it still works. There are some dents. Up for auction is this older Sears Kenmore USA made heater from the 40's or early 50's. This heater is very clean but it has some minor wear marks. As seen in the pictures. This old heater is very shiney and it works like brand new. It is all original, even the power plug is original. The size is approximately 15" tall, 12" wide and 7" front to back. Hello! I have for your consideration a 1930's(my best guess) Bunting"electric fire" in the shape of a yacht/sailboat. This is a very unique and whimsical piece. Made in England. The cord is absent but the two heating elements are included. But broken. This would be a great restoration project or just leave it as it is. I did some research and the only thing I could really find, is one in something called the"National Trust Collection" in the UK. Fabulous Find ~ Antique Electric Copper Heater! These were made in the 1920s by Landers. Frary& Clark in New Britain, Connecticut. It measures approx. 16.75" high, the round copper reflector is 14" in diameter, and the base diameter is 10 5/8" The copper reflector has the"Universal" center plate and there is a handle on the top of the back side for carrying. The reflector swivels about 270 degrees front to back and also turns side to side. The base plate is very ornate and beautiful(see photos) It comes with the original cord which is in very good condition. The makers identification plate is on the back underneath the handle and reads. This is an old Hotpoint Space Heater from 1918. The heater does have some light surface rust. But no dents or dings. The"Hotpoint" hallmark on the back of the heater has been scratched up and I don't know how well it will show after sanding. The cage I believe is broken at the top(see pic) but it springs in and out of place so I don't know if it was made that way or if it is a"break" It measures at 12" round and 16" high. It has a socket plug and a CH switch. The switch does not turn on and off. I have not tried to restore, clean or use this heater, but it will make a great restoration piece. We have other artwork. Imprinted in the front in script is"Welsbach" and it features a stylized decorative art nouveau cast iron base. A wonderful looking copper face, and a decorative knob and handle which enables you to adjust the angle of the heater even when hot. It was recently rewired with new cloth covered electrical wire and it is in superb and safe operating cndition. Luminous Radiator Antique Electric Bulb Heater GE Old Vintage Cast Iron
Up for sale is this interesting early electric heater made by GE. This early heater originally used long frosted bulbs to heat. These type of heaters were referred to as'Luminous radiators' and date back to the early 1900s. This heater originally had three bulbs which are no longer present. This model was made to be built into a wall or fireplace and is quite large and ornate. The old pushbutton switch is still present but detached. The heater has a cast iron front with copper backing. It measures 25 inches high by 30 wide and about 5 inches deep. Part of the cast iron front that went above the bulbs has some small pieces missing where it attaches to the rest of the heater; it could be repaired with some epoxy. Antique General Electric Model A-23 Electric Heater
Up for consideration is this vintage General Electric Model A-23 electric heater. It was manufactured. And introduced sometime around 1913 in Schenectady, N.Y. The nickel finish on this heater is in good condition for being over 100 years old. It stands just over 16 inches tall. 8 inches wide, and weighs 4.5 pounds. The source of the heat, which this heater provides is two(2) large carbon filament bulbs almost 11 inches long, and 2.5 inches in diameter. Each bulb draws 250 watts. The date on these bulbs is November 8, 1904. Behind the bulbs is a copper plated steel reflector to direct the heat towards the front of the unit. It gives off a warm orange glow, and a lot of heat for its' size. The cord is in good condition. And every time I've plugged it in, this heater works as it was designed to.
