This auction is for a great antique bathtub faucet assembly.This is being offered as it was found in the estate. This was salvaged from an old building here in PA. It is in nice condition for its age. And is a heavy metal fixture with old porcelain handles. It measures 21" from the fitting to the top of the handle and it is 11" on center from the hot and cold supplies. The center drain pipe is 2" in diameter and has the original insert with the original porcelain cap. A magnet does not stick to any of the metal, so I assume it is old nickel plated brass. Some of the brass is actually showing through. It even has the original brass escutcheons.This has some light blue metallic paint with some wear. Not sure if this was the original color or not. Has a few normal wrench marks on the nuts, and some normal spotting and light crazing ... moreon the handles, but it just adds to the piece.The handles turn freely and appear to seal well. The legs and base are ornately turned. The edge of the seat is also carved. It is adjustable in height and has a large steel screw and shaft in the center. It works perfectly. It measures 18 1/2" in height adjusted down and 23 1/2" in height turned all the way up. The seat measures 14 1/2" in diameter. This is one of the nicest organ stools that I have seen in a long time. I have a 60" antique claw foot tub. It has been refinished in China White. I then applied red to the rim of the tub. Hoping it would look like a bottle of Maker's Mark bourbon. Antique Vintage Clawfoot Tub 5 1/2' American Standard Early 1900's
Local pickup is preferred. If you would like to have this hand-delivered. I can deliver for $1/mile within 500 miles of 19007(PA) If you would like to have this shipped. It will need to be crated and shipped freight. My crating fee is $200(the freight charge is separate) or you can contact a freight company that will crate it for you; a reputable carrier that I prefer is'NAVIS Pack& Ship' This weighs approx. 350 lbs. Here is an American Standard(still just'Standard' at that time) 5 1/2' clawfoot tub from 1911. It is in excellent original condition. The enamel is in great shape, with the most wear on the floor of the tub especially near the drain; otherwise there are just a few light scratches here and there. There is barely any rust or enamel chips along the lip, this tub has aged very well. There is a spot of discoloration ... morenear the drain as well as about a 4" long spot where the enamel is pitted(most likely from an acidic spill or drain cleaner) Please check out the photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation. The faucet and overflow holes show little rust if any, see photos for condition. The feet are all in nice shape. But will need some paint as will the exterior if you so choose. The feet are slide-in versions(pressure fit and not nut/bolt connection) Dimensions are: length is 66" width is 30" overall height is 22" interior depth is approx. 16" Thanks for looking.
