This unit collapses down from the two sliding parallel metal rods. When it is being used. It is mounted to a wall with the 10 wooden laundry strips fully extended out. This unit is very unique and amazing design and craftsmanship with a great primitive appeal. It has great functionality with the 10 wooden hangers for drying clothes. Towels, underwear, etc. It measures 23 inches tall and only 4 inches wide when it is collapsed. When it is fully extended it is 46 inches wide from end to end. You can see there is some deterioration to the rubber on the wringer rollers and I be lieve there was originally more to the handle than what you see. For sale is an antique vintage clothes wringer which I believe to be a Handy Hot Wringer for Chicago IL. This item does work just fine but has quite a bit of rust on one side and paint loss all over. The handle grip is wood and the rest is steel. All of the screws both on the top and the attachment vises are included. The size is 19" wide with the handle by 10" tall with the handle and the middle section without the handle is 13" wide by 7" tall. Perfect for display or use. Antique Clothing Wringer Washing Rack Hand Washer Clothes Chic Washboard Shabby
This is a nice 23.5" x 12.5" antique wooden wasboard with glass ribs. There is something inscribed near the top. But I cannot make out what it says. The piece was painted orange long ago.The washboard has very noticeable wear from handling and use. Some of the wood is beginning to crack; there is a long, deep crack on one of the legs. While the piece is structurally sound, the deep crack should be repaired so that it doesn't break in the future. The piece also has discoloration, marks, etc. Whoever did the painting did a terrible job and also painted the sides of the glass ribs. They didn't paint the very top of the wood, though. The makers name is there but we can't make it out. One of the boards at one of the screws is broken. The rollers have some gouges. The handle/rollers turns free. Bottom line, as stated it is antique and in the general condition one should expect for such a piece. It is a very heavy item with a cast iron frame. Clamps, and gears. The rollers are stained and cracked and I am not sure what they are made of. But are not metal. They seem to be intact and work fine. The gears turn fine. I got this little gem from a dear friend of mine to list on here. He had it for years and kept it in great condition. It has some normal cracking on the rubber rollers as to be expected for an item of its age but otherwise it is in amazing shape. It weighs 16.5 lbs I tried to capture most of the markings on it in my photos and there were more that I expected although a few were difficult to make out. An antique folding bench wringer in green paint. It measures approximately 47.5" tall. 24" wide(including handle) and 12" deep(these measurements reflect the folded up position- unfolding it will make it much wider) The surface is quite worn and we do not see a meter's mark anywhere. There is some surface wear and loss to the green paint, but it is in good condition overall with no major problems. Please view the images as an extension of the description.
