It has been boxed in storage since the move to Miami. I was not able to find a house with a F/Place here as it would be a rare night to light it! I paid several hundred dollars for these! My need for these tools will never be activated even though I love them. They have such class and will glamour up any useable fireplace. Downsizing as you get older can be painful when you give up many of the beautiful things you once lived with. BUT it is great that many of you are still shopping for(and have a use for) the nicer things in life for a good Price. The deer heads and base are solid brass and were"antique" finished when I bought them. They can be polished of course but patina gives metal a heritage appearance so I never did. The weight with a sturdy cardboard box for shipping will be around 33 pounds. I cannot list a correct shipping price until I know where they would go and freight is the only sensible way to ship with this weight to consider. If you are seriously interested in buying them- please give me a day or two before bidding ends to check out the price. If you have a ski house in VT or somewhere out west- they can be shipped directly there of course. Older Brass and Iron HORSEHEAD 4 pc Fireplace Tool Set with Art Deco Horsehead Stand. The HORSEHEADS are ART DECO and have the horses showing their teeth and wind blown manes! Tools include poker. Prongs, white horse hair brush, and schovel. Each tool has a slot on the stand. All of the tools show they have been used. The tools are 29" long except the brush which is 28" The stand is 32 1/2" high. 10" wide, and 7" deep. The tools have some scratches and discolorization. They show fire soot. The railing on the stand has some minor dents. All tools and the stand show many polishings with brass cleaner. Ask questions or request photos if needed.

Set of Antique Solid Brass Fireplace Tools with Horse Head on the stand and the handles on each tool. It is gorgeous equestrian theme set with a lot of details on the Horse Head handles. It is made of solid brass. It is not reproduction. Very old and quite unique! It has 5 pieces: stand. Shovel, tongs, poker and broom/brush. The stand has rectangle footed base(9 1/2 x 5 1/2" This base has a stamped ornate detail. The top of the stand finished with brass Horse Head for decoration and as a handle to carry the set around. Under the Horse Head of the stand is the tool holder to hang four tools. The tools could be arranged in any position on the stand. The set is 31 inches high. No signs of damage or repair. The set was gently used but it is in excellent condition. The brass has old patina. Will need cleaning if so desired. Up for bid is the antique Nautical/ Maritime Theme FIREPLACE/ FIRE TOOLS STAND ONLY(no tools are included) from the late 19th/ early 20th century. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Very RARE piece being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned, unmodified condition. Made entirely of 100% solid brass(excluding non-original hardware, see below) Very heavy! It has some issues. Feet/legs are fragile, loose and unstable. They have had breaks& repairs and remain in desperate need of further repair. If not repair/reinforced, this stand will likely fold/collapse under its own weight. Again, you WILL have to restore/repair/brace the feet/legs or it will, in time break itself. Connection of feet to shaft is via'mish-mashed' non-matching, non-original hardware(see last 2 pics) One of the(5) original hooks is missing(far left ... moreone) and some of the others look like they've been repaired. Top piece attacheds to the pole via a threaded screw atop the shaft. Either the aforementioned screw piece and/or the female end(of the top piece) is slightly damaged/stripped, making attaching the two a little difficult and spins crooked. Ultimately, it attaches snug and securely but with a bit of lean. The top-middle and top-left flags are bent backwards approx. 10-15 degrees. Extremely fine detail to the Ship and Water. Brilliant curves. Highly ornate accents throughout. Fantastic, rich patina. Only text marking on the piece reads"DON FERNANDO" at front of ship(named"Spanish Galleon" I see no other visible marker's mark(s) Cosmetic condition is as clearly& accurately shown in the pictures. Please inspect all of them carefully. Measures approx. 40-1/2 tall. Overall. The top/boat only(from top up shaft, up) is 24-1/4" tall x 15-1/4" wide and the brass varies in thickness from approx. 3/16" to 3/8" Twisted shaft is approx. 1" diameter. Feet make a triangle on ground with lengths of approx. 16" from tip to tip. Total weight is 16 lbs 1.0 oz. Feel free to ask

Vintage Four Piece BRASS& CAST IRON Fireplace Tool Set* This set is in very good vintage condition. The only"imperfections" are those that are commensurate with ordinary use and do not detract from the beauty of the set. When I first saw this tool set. At a recent Estate Sale, I thought that it may possibly be made by the USA Company- Pilgrim. I recently sold(for $400) a set- very similar to this one- which was made by Pilgrim(in the 1950s or 1960s) and was attributable to George Nelson- a well-known designer of that period. This set. In my opinion, is of comparable quality, but it does not carry the manufacturer or designer name. In fact, I can find no identifying marks at all and am unable to find another like it on the web. This set, like the Pilgrim, is made of solid brass and cast iron, and both sets are comprised of the ... moresame four tools, in similar size, length and weight. But, the frame for this set is a good bit smaller than the Pilgrim frame- otherwise their weights would be very close. This set weighs a hefty 15 pounds and the other, close to 27 pounds. I own a cast iron fireplace set myself. My set has these same four pieces(in the same design configuration) and I can state. From personal experience, that these tongs are essential for the real fire-builder in your home. They work beautifully and are just what you need to relocate an entire log inside an active fire. This particular design will grab. And hold, logs with very large diameters(as well as smaller logs. Of course) unlike many tongs on the market today. The brass handles of this set are problem-free. With only the expected patina that comes with time and a few very light scratches. The brass on the frame, particularly on the bottom, has more visible scratches- than do the handles- as well as a small spot of wear to the protective varnish coating. Antique brass fireplace tools with dog rifle stand Rococo style
This is a wonderful set of fireplace tools with a Rococo style stand that has a dog perched on the front. The post has a rifle on one side and a hanging rabbit on the other. The stand is 22 inches high. 12 inches across and 10 inches deep. There are 3 tools that are likely not original to the set. There is a large set of tongs and a small set of tongs. There is a poker that has the head of a dog. The hook on the poker does not fit well on the stand. This set likely dates circa 1900. This set would look perfect in a hunting lodge or a home that leans more to the eclectic. There is a green buildup on the bottom of the stand but no damage.

Clean to the touch(meaning that the tool ends are not covered in charcoal) The decorative top pieces, the base, circle rail/columns and the(4) feet are all solid brass. The shaft is steel, either plated with brass or painted to match(I am unsure) The tops of both tools and the shovel's head are also solid brass. Both shafts are steel. The poker's tip is cast iron. The underside of the top piece of the stand is marked"357 JEWEL" No other visible markings. Cosmetic condition is as clearly shown in the pictures. The stand measures approx. 29-1/2" tall x 7-1/2" diameter at the base. The top surface of the base sits ... moreup 1" off the ground/floor. The shovel is 30-1/2" long. Overall. The poker, 25" Total weight is 7 lbs 1.5 oz. I may or may not partially disassemble the stand to reduce the shipping box size.
