The deer heads and base are solid brass and were"antique" finished when I bought them. They can be polished of course but patina gives metal a heritage appearance so I never did. The weight with a sturdy cardboard box for shipping will be around 33 pounds. I cannot list a correct shipping price until I know where they would go and freight is the only sensible way to ship with this weight to consider. Delightfully detailed and finely finished cast iron knight with fireplace tongs tucked out of sight behind him and he is holding a removable spear. Spike, axe. Antique Andirons HANDSOME AND DRAMATIC MANUFACTURED IN USA BY THE RENOWNED BRADLEY& HUBBARD COMPANY. Circa 1895 The mark consists of"B& H" and the number"9533" These fine vintage andirons come out of the Aesthetic Movement in American design. Each andiron represents the figure of the Phoenix. The mythological bird which rises from the ashes to become reborn. An alternative view is that they are Winged Dragons, protecting the hearth by spewing forth fierce flames. The fireplace tools have always been with the andirons but no mark is visible on them. It is possible to space the andirons at greater or lesser distances from each other depending upon the size of the fireplace in which they are placed.

Up for bid is the antique Nautical/ Maritime Theme FIREPLACE/ FIRE TOOLS STAND ONLY(no tools are included) from the late 19th/ early 20th century. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Very RARE piece being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned, unmodified condition. Made entirely of 100% solid brass(excluding non-original hardware, see below) Very heavy! It has some issues. Feet/legs are fragile, loose and unstable. They have had breaks& repairs and remain in desperate need of further repair. If not repair/reinforced, this stand will likely fold/collapse under its own weight. Again, you WILL have to restore/repair/brace the feet/legs or it will, in time break itself. Connection of feet to shaft is via'mish-mashed' non-matching, non-original hardware(see last 2 pics) One of the(5) original hooks is missing(far left ... moreone) and some of the others look like they've been repaired. Top piece attacheds to the pole via a threaded screw atop the shaft. Either the aforementioned screw piece and/or the female end(of the top piece) is slightly damaged/stripped, making attaching the two a little difficult and spins crooked. Ultimately, it attaches snug and securely but with a bit of lean. The top-middle and top-left flags are bent backwards approx. 10-15 degrees. Extremely fine detail to the Ship and Water. Brilliant curves. Highly ornate accents throughout. Fantastic, rich patina. Only text marking on the piece reads"DON FERNANDO" at front of ship(named"Spanish Galleon" I see no other visible marker's mark(s) Cosmetic condition is as clearly& accurately shown in the pictures. Please inspect all of them carefully. Measures approx. 40-1/2 tall. Overall. The top/boat only(from top up shaft, up) is 24-1/4" tall x 15-1/4" wide and the brass varies in thickness from approx. 3/16" to 3/8" Twisted shaft is approx. 1" diameter. ANTIQUE FIREPLACE TOOLS SET PEERAGE ENGLAND ORNATE SAILING SHIPS
Here is a beautiful ships themed antique fireplace tool set made in Peerage England probably in the early or middle 1900's. They have the makers marks on the back of the shovel tool. The set includes the tree to hang the tools on and a poker. Shovel and brush made from possibly horses hair. This set was probably not meant for a large fireplace since the set is smaller in size and probably was used for a stove or something of that nature. Each tool has a wonderful ornate picture of a beautiful ship with many sails and reminds me of pirates ships. The total height of the tree is 15 and 1/4" and the tools are all about the same size at 10" each. I took many pictures of each tool and the tree so you can view them all using the zoom feature. It is rare that a complete Arts and Crafts antique fireplace set remains intact and together as this one has! This fine example of the skill and talent of the artisans of that time can be showcased on your hearth today. Included in this substantial handcrafted set is the fireplace screen. Andirons, tool holder with four tools and log holder/carrier with handle. In each piece the heavy yet intricate scrollwork and the artistic twist of the metal is repeated. The squirrels in the andiron design will be enjoying the acorn they hold to their mouths. The blacksmith who forged these squirrels has them perched with their famous bushy tails in full display. Very imaginative! The fireplace screen has handles on either side for ease of moving it. It is well-balanced with the scrolled feet projecting 5-inches forward and the stabilizers projecting 5-inches ... moreback. The screen is a heavy mesh and good condition for its age. There is one tiny disruption in the mesh as shown in the photo. The original blacksmith burnt oil finish still fills in a few openings in the mesh as shown in the photo. The log holder/carrier has scrolled edges and is supported on scrolled feet and the handle is movable. The tool holder is well-balanced and holds the brush. Shovel, poker and tong. A welded repair has been made to the shovel to support the metal which had fatigued over many decades of use. Andirons: 18 pounds each. 24-inches high, 14-1/2 inches wide at the base, 8-inches wide at the widest part of the oval, oval frame is 1-inch thick, firedogs are 21-inches long and 1-inch square in thickness. Fireplace Screen: 16 pounds. 40-inches wide, 32-inches high, frame is 5/8-inch thick, the handles are 5-inches long. Log Holder: 17 pounds. 22-inches long, 16-inches wide, 14-inches high with the handle down, 21-inches high with the handle raised. Tools& Tool Holder: 16 pounds all together. Antique Fireplace Tools Yellin Samuel MAYBE
Samuel Yellin style fireplace fire place tools are wonderful. Three tools and the dog head holder are the same style. The broom. Shovel and tongs all have etched designs on the handle. The doghead holder has wonderful detail that my photos don't show well. The detail is on the head and down the mail rod/body of the dog head. The four feet are made to look like feet. The dog's tongue sticks out of his open mouth and does not lay on the bottom of his mouth. There is a poker that was purchased with this set, but does not have the etched design. It is a twisted iron design. The total weight of these tools is approximately 30 lbs. I don't know what metal these tools are. They might be brass but are definitely iron. Antique brass fireplace tools with dog rifle stand Rococo style
This is a wonderful set of fireplace tools with a Rococo style stand that has a dog perched on the front. The post has a rifle on one side and a hanging rabbit on the other. The stand is 22 inches high. 12 inches across and 10 inches deep. There are 3 tools that are likely not original to the set. There is a large set of tongs and a small set of tongs. There is a poker that has the head of a dog. The hook on the poker does not fit well on the stand. This set likely dates circa 1900. This set would look perfect in a hunting lodge or a home that leans more to the eclectic. There is a green buildup on the bottom of the stand but no damage.

Delightfully detailed. Finely finished c1920, cast iron Knight with fireplace tongs tucked out of sight behind him and he is holding a removable halberd, spear, spike, axe. Made by Nestor Foundry in Birmingham. England Size approximately: Knight 27” x 10" wide(70cm x 28.5cm) Knight with spear is 3' high(91cm high) 7" deep. 18cm deep) Approx. Weight: 20lbs(9 Kg) He has an extremely heavy cast iron body and platform from head to toe. The knight and tools. As you can see from the photos, are in very good condition. We personally never used them for any of our fireplaces but kept him at the ready on the hearth as a sentinel guarding all within his purview. May you enjoy this little nobleman and give him surroundings that he would be happy to observe. Nestor Martin was born at Saint-Hubert. The son of a manufacturer of copper devotional ... moreaids. In 1849, he set up his own copper foundry in Huy, and then moved it to Vrigne-au-Bois in the French Ardennes, where he married and had his first child, Arthur. The family returned to Huy in 1854 and he set up an iron and copper foundry which manufactured heating and cooking stoves. The business grew rapidly, and was soon exporting so much of its production that Martin set up daughter factories in England, Argentina, Canada and China, as well as in Saint-Hubert and Molenbeek-St-Jean(Brussels) and at Neuves-Forges and Revin in France. He introduced enamelled stoves in 1872, which quickly became a best-seller. He was a generous benefactor of Saint-Hubert. Up for bid is the antique FIREPLACE STAND with matching SHOVEL& POKER TOOLS(no brush. Tongs, ETC) as seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. AS-FOUND, uncleaned condition. Excellent patina. Clean to the touch(meaning that the tool ends are not covered in charcoal) The decorative top pieces, the base, circle rail/columns and the(4) feet are all solid brass. The shaft is steel, either plated with brass or painted to match(I am unsure) The tops of both tools and the shovel's head are also solid brass. Both shafts are steel. The poker's tip is cast iron. The underside of the top piece of the stand is marked"357 JEWEL" No other visible markings. Cosmetic condition is as clearly shown in the pictures. The stand measures approx. 29-1/2" tall x 7-1/2" diameter at the base. The top surface of the base sits ... moreup 1" off the ground/floor. The shovel is 30-1/2" long. Overall. 4 Antique Brass Fireplace Tools You will receive all you see in photos. The old metal dust pan measures about 7 1/4" x 5 7/8" and has a nice weight to it.I see no marking on this. The broom look to be made out of horse hair and it does shed.more of a decoration than useful piece.but. Very nice.it measures about 8 3/4" tall and the handle part is marked WHITBY FUIMUS SUMUS.very neat piece. The fork/poker thing measures about 19 1/4" and the handle is marked YORK MINISTER. The last piece measures about 10 1/2" tall and marked DURHAM a nice petite dust pan. All will come to you in very nice used antique condition. Thanks for looking.
