The deer heads and base are solid brass and were"antique" finished when I bought them. They can be polished of course but patina gives metal a heritage appearance so I never did. The weight with a sturdy cardboard box for shipping will be around 33 pounds. I cannot list a correct shipping price until I know where they would go and freight is the only sensible way to ship with this weight to consider. If you are seriously interested in buying them- please give me a day or two before bidding ends to check out the price. VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN CHROME LUCITE ALBRIZZI FIREPLACE TOOL SET EAMES ERA
No Reserve! This Auction is for a nice vintage Chrome and lucite mid century fireplace set. It has very minor wear to the chrome.No pitting or large scratches very very displayable. The only major wear to the lucite is on the poker piece there is a small flaw as seen in the close up. This is not a chip out of the edge but something like an impact crack. This does not take away from the display of the piece or make it weak in any way. The swirl lines in the picture of the handle close up is the hardwood floor lines this is not damage to the handle. Since the handles screw off i thought about having it ground down as you would glass but i will leave that up to the new owner. Also as seen in the close up photo of the brush the plastic bristles have been melted on one side of the brush but still displays nice from the other side and these are ... morereplaceable as well. And finally the reverse side of the set picture close up at the bottom shows the screw heads have some surface rust on them. Antique 18th C Wrought Iron Scissor Pipe Ember Tongs Hearth Coal Tool Fireplace
11 7/8" Long x 3 3/8" Wide A fine example of a pair of mid to late 18th century wrought iron utility tongs. New England in origin and dating circa 1740-1790. Tongs such as these used a variety of purposes at the hands of a hearth attendee or estate worker. The scissor action of the piece allowed for the procurement of a small burning ember. Taken from the open hearth fireplace and then used to transfer said coal to start another fire, or to ignite the bowl of a long stemmed tobacco pipe. The blacksmith who made the piece formed in great finger loops. The construction of the piece is overall a superb representation of period domestic utilitarian tools. An almost identical example to this set can be seen referenced in"Early American Antique Country Furnishings" by George Nuemann. See fig 748 on page 170. Vintage Ash Dust Pan Solid Wood& Cooper. Not sure about this but I think this is a Vintage Dust Pan! The top is a thin cooper lid with a little decoration on it. The handle is a wonderful shape and and works by pressing it down. The rest of the dust pan is made of wood as well as the handle and very sturdy. The inside bottom is grooved. 2 Solid BRASS Finials 3 3/8" & 3 5/8" tall VINTAGE fit lamp fireplace tool stand
These are two vintage brass finials"lamp finials. the larger of which came from and fits the top of a fireplace tool stand. We are not sure of the origin of the smaller one, but it is exactly like a lamp finial seen on the internet. The larger one is 3 5/8" long. 7/8" wide at its widest point, has a threaded hole 1/4" wide, and weighs 3.5 oz. The smaller one is 3 3/8" long. 9/16" wide at its widest point, has a threaded hole 1/4" wide, and weighs 2 oz. Both are used. Scratches have been smoothed. And they have been cleaned and polished. Please look at the pictures. These appear to be solid brass. One great price for both.

We are pleased to offer this VERY RARE AND OLD. C1900, Arts and Crafts, Mission, antique fireplace tool set. This MASSIVE piece(51" tall) is fashioned of bronze or very heavy brass. It is loaded with intricate details and interesting design throughout. The focal point of the set is the very large, exceptional Spanish galleon. The clipper ship is marked"Don Fernando" with a 2 lion coat of arms or crest above the name. The ship features 3 flags on the upper section and 4 large opened sails with two large sails still raised/folded. There is a large flag on the stern, and a large, mermaid figurehead on the bow. There are detailed"sea waves" below the ship. Beneath the sea waves is a long, horizontal piece upon which are the fireplace tool hanger attachments. There are 5 hangers/attachment hooks, one for each tool. Encircling ... moreeach hook is a nondistinct cherub face with long wings that turn upward and create a medallion effect around the cherub faces. The fireplace tools are all original and have the ship's design repeated at the top of each. The tools include the shovel. Poker, broom, tongs, and a footed, beautifully patterned trivet(in case you want to cook in your fireplace) The center column and 3 footed stand are fashioned in a barley twist pattern. The top of the column is finished in a"pretzel" type design. The bottom of the center column has an ornate accent piece from which extend the 3 twisted legs and simple feet. The brass/bronze has gilted accents on the"twist" design of the legs. This is an incredible piece. Extremely rare and in amazingly good condition for its antiquity. An early 1800's era Fireplace log Tongs from an estate. These would date back into the Colonial/ Federal era. Early 1800's. The handle is brass and matches some andirons form the Federal era. The tong sections hinge to open or close smoothly, the iron rods were hand forged or wrought iron and remain in very good condition. This is for an Antique Cast Iron Alaska Stove Fireplace set with Tools& Stand made by The Troy Nickel Works Co. around 1890 or before. This was made by Troy for the Alaska stove company. I bought this set at an auction years ago and have decided to sell it. You see the stand in other auctions but. It is very rare to have the original tools to go along with it. This is a four piece set. This includes the stand, the poker, the tongs for moving the wood and the ash shovel. All of which are in good condition for a complete set of this age and normal use and wear. The stand is truly a work of art. It measures 17 inches high. The tip of the stand starts with cat tails. As you travel down the stem of the stand you run into what I believe to be Blue Herons. There are then Lilly pads and the pattern turns into what becomes the tail of two Oriental ... morefish that are both sides of what come to rest on the base of the stand. The dish or base it self that holds the tools reads"ALASKA" It measures 11 inches wide. The arms themselves that hold the tools are two sea snakes. Again. This set is full of life. Even the shovel has art work on the handle. On the back of the piece there is an"A" The tongs have rust on them and I have tried to show this in pictures but they still work just fine. The condition of the entire set is good condition for its age and its use. The poker is heavy and sturdy. The base it self I believe to be about 5 or 6 lbs. The ash shovel is heavy and in good condition as well. I have tried to show different pictures to show all the tools and the stand. There is aging but again this is the life of this piece of art. The entire set needs to be cleaned. Sometimes when I hold one of the tools I wonder where it has been and who's hand it has laid. It's age is it's story. 4 Piece Antique Brass Fireplace Tool Set: Stand w/Winged Griffins & Lions' Feet
This is a very old cast brass Victorian fireplace tool set. It includes a poker. Which has a cast iron tip, a shaft that appears to be steel, and the ornate brass handle; a brush which has natural hair bristles; a brass shovel that was painted black; an elegantly shaped set of tongs with cast iron tips, steel shafts, cast brass handles; and the heavy ornate cast brass stand on which the tools sit. It is highly decorated with 2 winged griffins, along with flowers, etc. It has 4 lions' feet. The fireplace set is 31" tall to the top of the cast brass handle on the top of the stand. The base of the stand is 12" by 9 1/2" It is in excellent condition. But of course has lots of patina, which varies from one area to another. In the close-up photos of the base plate, you can see that some areas have a grayish-green coating over ... morethe brass. I cleaned this area lightly with brass polish, but did not want to take away the original patina, so I didn't try to remove this greenish coating. The brush looks as though it has lost some of its bristles over the years, but is still usable. In my 8th photo, you can see that one of the brackets near the top of the rack is higher than the one on the other side, but it doesn't appear to have been damaged or bent- may have just been made that way. The black paint is flaking off of the shovel a little. I will ship internationally. Tell me your location. And I will let you know the shipping cost. This is an exquisite. Original Eastlake style cast iron fireplace tools stand. It is in wonderful condition and the detail work on this is just lovely. I have seen another like this that had excessive wear and the details were not as pronounced as on this one. Stands 24" tall. It breaks down into 3 pieces for safe shipping. Re-assembles with its original screw at top and nut underneath. Beautiful patina. Has a#36 casting marks on the back side of the vertical piece and also underneath.
