It was found at an estate sale of a local antique dealer who may have added the newer upholstery. The carriage body with its fanciful curvy lines is constructed of woven wicker with a turned wood handle. Everything else is metal. The metal wheels with hard rubber rims work quite smoothly. Pictured in the ... more5th photo above is a mechanism behind the seat that controls the raising and lowering of the foot rest and seat back. There is also a parasol holder with a screw to hold it in place. Dimensions are about 40" long for the carriage with the foot rest extended and 36” with the foot rest folded back x 19" wide carriage and 24” wheel to wheel width x 36-3/4" tall(including handle) All four wheels have a diameter is 14” It weighs about 30 pounds. This buggy is in original condition with the exception of the newer upholstered side cushions. Those cushions need some attention as they are a bit loose fitting. The wicker is quite good with only a few broken reeds in the woven bottom seat along with some minor surface soiling. A slight warp to the foot rest can be seen in the photo above. Please check all photos carefully. And let me know if you want more. There is also surface oxidation and rust on the metal parts and paint loss on the handle. As is or restored, it would be a great decorative home accent or display piece for dolls or teddy bears. Any doll. Bear or child would look adorable in this genuine antique pull buggy. It is guaranteed very old with original old crackled mustard vanilla paint. Looks so sweet and these original ones are getting hard to find. The wicker is in very good shape with no breaks or repairs. The wheels are all original as is everything else. Has original rubbery or composite tire on the metal. Looks like it may have had a pull rod and it was cut to just have the chair sitting. Great for photography background with toys. With ornate wicker that is curved and braided beautifully. It has the original metal attachments for a parasol, sorry I do not have the parsol) spoked wood wheels with a curved metal strap around each wheel. Beautiful floral upholstery with matching pillow and foot rest. I don't think this is the original, but not for certain. The fabric. Trim, and cording are in very good to excellent condition. We did not find any tears or stains and only a few stray threads that can be easily snipped off. There is some slight fading in some areas of the fabric but it is not very noticeable and would not show if the carriage was used to display dolls or plush animals, for example. The previous owners actually used this family heirloom when their children were babies and it is functional. When not out for a head-turning stroll. The carriage served as a bassinet-on-wheels for a napping newborn. Afterwards it was used to display antique teddy bears in the family's home. Personally, we do not know if this item meets with current safety standards but it probably does not and we do not recommend using it except for display. But certainly very good. I can find no holes in the wicker, but there are some very small spots of worn or chipped paint(does not appear to be re-painted) and I can see a small section(1/2 inch) of missing braided trim on the footrest(check photo close-up) Top works well, wheels turn well, and it seems to be quite sturdy all around. Looks like the interior lining is missing(as seen in first pic) but these can be easily re-lined by an experienced doll collector/restorer. This circa 1900 antique doll buggy/stroller does not include the doll pictured. This piece has an iron frame work with wooden seat and footrest as well as turned wood spindles handle and arms. The back is made of oil clothe and has a tear in it. The buggy measures 10 x 17.5 x 24.5 high. This buggy could take gentle play but would be excellent for the collector or as a photo or stage prop. You will receive One Vintage Antique Wicker Baby Doll Stroller with Rickshaw like handles. The inside has a working latch that drops the bottom into a step for easy access in and out of the stroller. The top has two handles that allow the top to be lowered to allow the sun to shine in. The inside is padded. But does show vintage signs of age. There are no rips or tears in the black canvas, but there was an original repair done in one spot. This is a very cool vintage toy baby stroller made out of wood with an iron frame I believe. The handle is turned wood and the wooden bed is painted brown and has a gold floral accent on each side. It is in great condition for the age but does have plenty of wear particularly to the paint and wheels. The back board does have a split in it but isn't separated and not really a big deal since you won't be pushing a real baby in it! It does not have a cover any longer but does have the holes that would hold one and it would be an easy project to construct a sun cover for the toy. This piece would make a great display piece in a vintage decor or for a doll collector. It stands 26 inches tall. 27 inches long and 10 inches wide. Up for auction is an Antique Victorian Baby Carriage Buggy with Canopy. I believe the carriage is from the 1800's. It measures 54" long from the handle bar to the end of the front wheel. The width is 21" The height to the top of the carriage canopy is 45 1/2" The height when measured to the top of the baby basket is 32" The baby basket is 36" long& 16 1/2" wide. Two of the carriage wheels measure 22" the other two wheels measure 20" The hardware that holds the carriage canopy is made of bronze. The canopy is adjustable& removable. The lower portion of the wooden arms that connect to the handle bar have been reinforced. They both had cracks in the same area(please see photos) The carriage has minimal signs of wear& is in very good condition for it's age. The inside of the buggy is made of a black canvas as is the hood. The buggy stands approx. 11" high and it is 10" from the end of the handle to the back of the hood. This is a very neat and most likely handmade baby carriage/stroller. The way the wheels are made and just the way its put together makes me believe it is handmade. I got it from a lady who was about 65 and said shes had it since she was a kid. It is about 11.5 inches tall by about 5 inches wide by about 10 inches long at its longest point. Seen one of thses at the Car Shows lately? Your baby will be the hit of the parade! OOAK Not your average Taylor Tot Baby Stroller. This is a custom restoration of a Shuler Streamliner from the late 30's. I restored this stroller myself and have more photos of the restoration process if desired. All metal parts. Excluding the wheels, were stripped and bead blasted to bare metal. All metal parts were then Powder Coated to give it a long lasting durable finish including the fenders which is a new high gloss powder coat paint. All wood was replaced matching the original, primed and painted to match with enamel automotive paint. All hardware is color matched. All the tires are in excellent shape, no nicks or cuts. Seat pad included. Pin stripping was done by a local artist to reflect the 30's era. Metal trim is 34 chevy hood trim, buffed ... morestainless steel. Vintage 60's Welsh Doll Carriage in original played with condition. Measure about 26"long. 17" wide, 27"30" tall. Vinyl is is good shape other than the hood material shrunk over the years, so when you try to lock open the hood all the way it pulls the stitching loose(see pics of hood) One hubcap is dented and one is missing, the other two are in good condition. Metal body is in good condition with normal scuffing and scratches on front edges(see pic) Chrome, springs, and wheels are in good used condition just slight scuffing and rust here and there, nothing steel wool wouldn't remove. Rolls very well and is still very useable. VINTAGE THAYER BABY DOLL CARRIAGE– MODEL 974. MID 40s– MID 50s This item is a vintage baby carriage, which dates between 1945-1955. I can’t seem to find an exact date. Others date it in the forties, so who am I to argue! The carriage is in overall very good condition. As would be expected of a piece that is 60+ years old, there are good and bad conditional issues. I detail below, and with the pictures. I didn’t find any of these carriages listed for sale, so I imagine there aren’t many around. Also, there is a listing for just the hubcaps for $159.95. WOW! The carriage measures 31” tall x 18 ½” wide(hubcap to hubcap) The inside dimensions of the baby carrier is 10 ½” x 23 ½” x 11” deep. The wheels/tires are 8½” diameter. THE GOOD 1) Baby carrier is in excellent overall condition. The inside fabric, while discolored, has ... moreno rips or tears whatsoever. The outside is also close to excellent. It loses a little for a rip along the top edge(pictured) that I glued back down. Seems minor to me now. 2) The metal frame is quite nice. Yes, there is some rusting, but it appears to be primarily surface rust that could be cleaned up. The frame& handle are both intact and work flawlessly. The carriage collapses nicely. 3) The tires are all in very good condition, with only surface dirt to contends with. There are no big gouges, or missing pieces. 4) Two are the hub caps are in very good condition, with some rusting and the red of the Thayer name still present, but faded. 5) Name plate is in excellent condition THE BAD 1) The canopy is in fair to good condition. As the pictures show, the vinyl has cracked and broken in spots, particularly where it folds. I cleaned it and lubricated it some and it is working pretty well. It will need to be restored or replaced. 2) Two of the hubcaps are in only fair to good condition. I cleaned them up and they look better. This carriage is very nice and apparently pretty scarce. RARE Vintage Cadillac Prototype Baby Buggy/Carriage/Pram/Stroller from late 40's-early 50's. This is a rare one. Folks. Can't find another one eBay or on the internet anywhere. Had this appraised. And all parts appear to be original and in excellent condition for its age. Original wheels. Springs, body, handle, shade, paint, brake, etc. The appraiser was able to tell me that car companies such as Cadillac and Mercedes made prototype baby carriages during this time period. But due to copywright infringement laws, the logo could not be made"exactly" the same so you will see it is slightly different from the traditional Cadillac logo. I cannot find another example of this on the internet to compare it to. There are no rips or tears in the fabric shade; and the body appears to be made of tin/metal with wood trim under the ... morechrome at the top. Some small spots of rust on the chrome as shown in the pictures that look like they can be removed and some natural yellowing of the wheels and handle. There is a smudge of the paint on one side; shown in the picture. The inside of the carriage is white and clean throughout. The springs are still very bouncy. No obvious dents or major dings.
