Offered for auction. 3 wooden spoked KROLL KAB baby carriage wheels. Two wheels are the same size with a diameter of 11 inches. The third wheel has a diameter of 12-3/4 inches. The hubs of the wheels have the KROLL KAB name and logo. The paint on the wheels is checked and varnished. The iron hubs and rims on the wheels have surface pitting and have also been varnished. The wooden the spokes are in very good condition. Even though the metal on the two smaller wheels has pitting, the rims have no voids and are substantial. The front wheels are smaller than the back. Suggesting it is an early model of ... morewhatever brand. There is a clean spot and a little bit of label on the seat. It appears to have been oblong. Taylor Tot Baby Stroller Vintage Old 50s Metal Wood Handle Push Bar Bumpers P-45
Very Vintage metal and wood Taylor Tot toddler stroller. Marked on the bottom of the seat as Model P-45. Which dates this to approximately late 1940s or early 1950s. Seems to be all original with the exception of a wing nut and bolt on the mid-section of the handle. Also one of the bumper nuts/bolts looks to have been replaced at some point. Does not look to have been restored at all and there is wear to the bumpers(the rubber has hardened and cracked over time) and also general overall wear, commensurate with age and use. The wood seat appears to have the original paint and the wood is dry and has visible line cracks. Measures approximately 26" long from bumper to bumper. And 18" across at the rear wheels(also from bumper to bumper) The push handle stands approximately 34" off of the ground. Measures 32" long x 16" wide x 29" tall This carriage is made of brown woven wicker. There are some areas where the pieces are broken. It has a steel frame with a wooden handle that has a lot of rust due to it's age. There is rubber on the steel rimmed wooden spoke wheels, the rubber has a lot of wear. The top of the carriage has 2 small round windows with lace covering. The inside of the carriage is very clean. There is a board on the bottom lined with cream colored linen with attached eyelet. The wood framing is made out of solid oak wood and the fabric and leather in the carriage seem to be a tad newer but show age and wear. I do not think you would want to put this back into use. A better use would be a décor either inside the house or outside in the garden or in front of the garage, etc. The real horse drawn sleighs were known to cut through the snow or leave ... morecut marks on the ice or hard packed surface. The term was first applied around 1800 to a light sleigh with a single board seat to accommodate 2 to 3 passengers and was usually drawn by one horse. The resistance of the runner on the frozen ground is less than rotating wheels, so one horse could easily pull these fast vehicles. The danger was in the tip-over when turned since the body and shafts are ridges, making short quick turns hazardous. Many a passenger ended up in the snow bank brushing snow from their garments before arrival at their destination. With a handle that shortened in a flash, the Folda Rola fit in any car, and almost any closet. Not a stroller for babies, it was nonetheless a favorite for toddler siblings. The swivel wheels gave it a short turning radius, and once parents got used to those, there was no turning back. The wire foot rest removed easily. This precious van Delft is a rare find in its condition. Especially with the original mattress pad and wind shield. It has all the original tires w/hub caps and mud guards. Original top handles to remove from carriage to use as bassinet. It handles like a dream. If I had been lucky enough to have a stroller like this, I swear I would have more kids! I love this stroller in its original state, but it would benefit from a professional restorer's touch, i.e. cleaning, reparing/replacing the leather strap in the back and there is rope/string binding to hold-up the childs foot rest. The wind shield is cracked, but could serve as a template for a new one. Interior designers could do alot with this van Delft aside from really impressing their clients. The carriage itself is set on four black wheels- two smaller wire spoke wheels are in the front, while two larger ones of a similar design are in the back. The Basket itself is done in a warm wood hue and features a moth- almost butterfly or dragonfly- design. The convertible top appears to the casual observer to be made from a waxed black fabric or oil cloth. I came across this Vintage Bilt-Rite Baby Bassinet at a thrift store.I have done extensive internet research trying to figure out as many details as possible.It looks like from the few details I was able to find that it was made around 1977 for their Bilt-Rite Combination Carriage. Which was a Baby Carriage that could also be taken off the frame to use as a traveling bassinet.This is a beautiful piece, although it does have one small hole in the fabric on the lower side and two small wear spots on the fabric of the canopy where the hood folds(REFER TO PICTURES)It is very clean and made well.It will fold up somewhat as you can tell by the pictures.Includes the original mattress and board that goes under mattress. Antique 1900's Victorian baby carriage / stroller - Geo W. Travers, NYC
You are looking at a Victorian era antique wicker baby stroller by Geo W. Travers of New York City. I'm not sure exactly what year this was made. However after doing some internet research, it seems that it's from the early 1900's. I purchased this lovely piece at a Victorian antique store in Belvidere, New Jersey about 14 years ago. Years ago, it was once painted and the paint was removed some time after that as you can see from the detail in the photos. The bottom lifts up as you can see between photo 1 and photo 2. Everything is all original and I have done nothing to this piece as to not affect the antique value of it. The wheels are green with black rubber on them. Slightly worn but not badly at all. The manufacturer's name plate is located on the back and you can see the detail of that in the photograph. Obviously. Reproduction Metal and Wicker Baby Doll Buggy/ Carriage
I THINK this is a reproduction really beautiful wicker baby buggy on metal frame. Rubber rimmed metal wheels. Buggy is in excellent condition. Fabric liner and top could use a good cleaning. Some of the srews and bolts are been replaced. It is 33" x 13" x 30" up at the handle. 22 1/2 up to top of buggy. It has twine/strings that hold up the top that hook to little knobs on the top of the basket part of the buggy. It has a little pillow that comes with it but no other bedding. Thank you for looking. It measures approximately 23 inches from front to back(not including the handle) It is gray and has white edges and decorative lines. The frame is all metal and the buggy is a cloth vinyl like material. The rubber on the tires are worn and show some missing pieces. However it does still roll easily. There is a small tear in the canopy(as pictured) and there is age appropriate oxidization. This is a a great piece for any collection, display, or play. Antique Vintage Swinging Baby Buggy
Up for bid is this baby buggy. Not sure of the age- definitely vintage. Possibly antique. Measures 32" long. 15" wide and 10" tall. The top will fold down. Top easily hooks to the handle and back frame. Can swing back and forth and can also be securely strapped to stay in one position. Is blue in color. Color has faded somewhat and there are a couple of tears around the hood. The rubber wheels are in good condition, just a little worn down. All in all this is a nice piece. This is a very old metal carriage that I used for a planter. I had my husband drill holes in the bottom for drainage and used a horsehair liner. I had petunias in it one year. Impatiens the next and so on. Just way too cute! The buggy does roll but the wheels are loose(but still attached) and the rubber"tires" are aged and shabby as is the rest of the buggy. Measures 19" tall to top of bonnet, 22.5" tall to top of handle,16" wide at the sides, 8.5" wide at the front. This is a lightweight carriage. I think the vinyl bonnet should be treated with Armor All before another season's use. I was also going to paint the handle red but it's a fine, weathered black.
